The OAM Console in a deployment architecture high availability

Hello

I'm looking to implement a HA for OAM environment and read the various docs that the OAM console is deployed on the AdminServer. However, when I read the Oracle documentation on Oracle Fusion Middleware high availability Guide for Oracle Identity and Access Management

It gives the URL in the console of the OAM as the link to test the server managed, which means that OAMConsole is accessible on the ManagedServer. Is there anywhere I can find a definitive answer on how OAMConsole is deployed and in the what server / cluster?

Ideally, I'd like the OAMConsole app deployed to the cluster (instead of the AdminServer) in order to achieve for her AP.

Thank you

oamconsole is deployed on the AdminServer, and there may be only one admin server active per domain.

The link that you are referring is on setting up a cluster OAM. Oracle encourages a cluster OAM of 2 instances that are deployed on 2 physical servers. The server administrator is recommended to set up an alias to separate host that they refer as a VIP that is linked to a separate IP as the OAM instance on the same host address. A clone of the Admin instance is then placed on the second physical server corresponding to the second instance OAM. In the case of the first instance OAM and the server administrator is not available, a reconfiguration of network must be made to move the VIP to the second instance. Once this is done, the server administrator can be started on the second server.

This gives you a little HA/DR.

  • Deployment of high availability of the IPCC 4.5

In a future HD architecture implementation, the voice service will provide CallManager 5.0, that will integrate with 4.5 of the IPCC. 4.5 (required with 5.0 CM) IPCC does implement a high availability. How can we ensure that technical support continues to operate if the IPCC goes down? One possibility might be to configure CM such that if the IPCC goes down, all the number of help desk calls are automatically and immediately headed to a group (which includes all extensions help desk). This redirection can be configured in CM? Is there a better option?

  • How to cancel the deployment of a MDS SOA from the EM Console or Jdeveloper?

    Hello

Due to significant changes, I want to cancel a previously deployed MDS deployment in our soa-infra and redeploy a new.

could someone please guide me on how to do it from the EM Console or Jdeveloper?

    Thank you

    Tushar

    Hello

I think that what you want is to remove metadata from your MDS repository.

To do this, from the EM console:

-click right on your soa-infra and select configuration MDS under Administration

    -Click on Runtime MBeanBrowser

    -Go to the operations tab

    -Select deleteMetadata

-on the input docs just use * to remove all metadata on your MDS.

    -call the operation

Note that you can specify a path inside your MDS if you do not want to clean up, by example/apps / *.

OAM use OID for user store.
The versions of the components are:

  • High availability of components in the design of vWorkspace tips

    Hi all

Would ask you some advice regarding the design of vWorkspace components highly available. Suppose that vWorkspace components will be deployed in vSphere or hypervisors managed SCVMM hence HA is in place, if the failure of a host. In this situation, if we still need components redundant (n + 1 VMS) vWorkspace?

On the other note, I understand that we can add a couple of broker for vWorkspace in vWorkspace Management Console connections and based on KB 99163 it would just work. I'm not sure how the traffic would be when an application is web access? As in, I guess that the connection broker news would be 'defined' at the request of the web call to the broker for connections. Or this is done automatically? Access Web would choose randomly from the broker for connections to go?

Thanks for any advice in advance

    Kind regards

    Cyril

    Hi Cyril,.

Big questions. As with any IT architecture in layers, you must plan HA and redundancy at all points of failure required by your environment or level of Service (SLA) agreements. For vWorkspace, the center of his universe is SQL and you must plan accordingly the failure and recovery. In some environments, full backup can meet the requirement of HA. In others, full SQL Cluster, Mirroring, replication, or Always-On configurations may be required. With our broker, we recommend N + 1 deployment in most scenarios HA. When you move peripheral components or enabling, you must evaluate each component and needs its impact of failure as well as its valuation to determine the appropriate AP.

Load balancing between several brokers is done automatically by logic in the client connectors. In the case of Web access, when you configure the site Web Access in the Management Console, it includes broker list in the Web access configuration xml file. As client connectors, Web Access includes balancing logic that distributes the client load on brokers available automatically.

If you have any questions about specific components and requirements of HA or architecture, please add them in the discussions.

There are many things that you must understand and keep in mind when implementing a complex system, and it is oexception n. You should start by studying documentation TimesTen. In particular you should familiarize yourself with the information in the Cache User Guide and the Guide of the replication. These contain a lot of very important information regarding the installation/deployment and operation c/o pairs and groups of cache, configuration cache link for CARS etc. You should also read through the troubleshooting guide to familiarize yourself with what things to look if things do not seem to work as expected.

If you are not already familiar with TimesTen, I would also highly recommend that you take the time to read the rest of the documentation. TimesTen is not Oracle Db and it is very compatible with Oracle in many areas, there are also many significant differences you need to consider when developing applications, management of the etc system, if you are able to take a training course OR on Timesten then I would recommend but if not then read the documentation is a good second best.

It is "not recommended" operating systems specifically, but 64-bit Linux is definitely a good choice. You might consider Oracle Enterprise Linux instead of Redhat; It has some advantages.

In each site, the two nodes in the pair of active / standby TimesTen should be on the same local network. I would recommend GigaBit ethernet as a minimum.

Although it is possible to write your own scripts much easier (and much more robust) handful of deployment, monitoring, failover and recovery of pairs a/s there a lot, if you deploy Oracle Clusterware on each site for automated management of the pairs a/s. It is our strong recommendation and is also recommended.

From a point of view TimesTen, system clock synchronization is necessary within each site (i.e., the clocks on both nodes in a system have? Pair of S must be closely aligned). However, it may be desirable to have all nodes in all sites have their clocks in line for other reasons.

You must ensure that the bandwidth and latency of the WAN connections is sufficient for the amount of traffic to refresh you. There is no simple way to estimate/calculate this. you will need to determine empirically.

These are probably the most important things. As you progress, you can of course ask questions in this forum and use Oracle.

  • Last game of password on the Web Console

We migrate to ARS 7 and do not want more to deploy the MMC on user/operators. They must use the web console.

I have a request of operators: they want the equivalent of the "Additional account information" tab to the web console.

I customize the form of user properties by adding a new entry different on this subject Advanced account info tab.

Now I'm stuck on how to add the last set password property. Any help on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I found an old post about it on the forum, but the link provided on the resolution is no longer available.

    Concerning

Active calculates the field 'Password last Set' based on the PWDLastSet attribute.

This value is stored to the whole time format, also known as "LDAP/FILETIME.

For example, 131167085140000000 is at the present time from Friday, August 26, 2016 18:08:34 GMT

For this display in a user-friendly format, you would have a solution to script and store the result in a virtual attribute as a string. This virtual attribute would then be displayed.

The script itself should be simple enough (unless you want to enter in the zone of fantasy and conversions to DST - which can be quite annoying), and you can have triggered it by a workflow so that updates to the PWDLastSet automatically trigger the script, which in turn will update your virtual attribute. You may also need to run a script to fill existing users with a value for the new attribute. PowerShell has several solid time conversion methods and would be a good choice for this application.

I have a virtualized environment based on vsphere esx 6.0, view Server 6.1 and Nvidiia vib file NVIDIA-vgx - VMware_ESXi_6.0_Host_Driver_346.42 - 1OEM.600.0.0.2159203.vib (for cards NVIDIA K1).

    Best regards

Once the NVIDIA driver is installed and enabled, it disables the display of the console, so this is of design and a sign of properly working config.  Direct connection is the right way to proceed, not RDP as this will bypass our driver.

  • Please help me on the jdeveloper to weblogic application deployment

At the beginning I just thought after developing an adf application then just deploy as an .ear file and deploy it in the weblogic console and everything will be ok. But actually I had a lot of problems. Then I had a tutorial for it and I do what he says step by step, but some new problems occurred. This is the tutorial I mentioned: [how-to: ADF Deployment Guide | http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.htm]

Now, could someone tell how did deploy your adf application?

Here are the errors I got.

It's the packege of installation and the operating system I use:
    1. 6.3_x64 + jdeveloper11123.jar(include wls10.3.5) + adr centOS (the package name is ofm_appdev_generic_11.1.1.6.0_disk1_1of1.zip) [and earlier, I used a solaris11 of oracle vm and install jdeveloper11.1.2.3, the same probem occurred as CentOS.]
    2 Win7_x64 + jdeveoper11123.exe(include wls10.3.5) + adr mentioned above

Here are the problems I get:
in case 1, after that I installed the jdeveloper (using the sun jdk 1.7), the weblogic seems to be fine but I na not configure a domain. But after I opened a
request (which I get from the oracle jdeveloper tutorial demo, which works well in my Win7 env) and I run it, the integrated weblogic can not get
has started. First in the console it says identifier jrocket - is not recognized, then I edit the setDomainEnv.sh and the startWebLogic.sh file in the
integrated wls area (that of the Director of .jdeveloper) to assign to the variable JAVA_VM - server. After that another problem emerged: when the
WLS goes to the 'start-up' status, it is blocked and I turn to System Monitor shows only a thread of java using more than 1 GB of memory in my system
and occupy 150% of my cpu (it's a dual-core computer). I wait about 5 minutes, when an error came up said "PermSize is too small".so I change the
setDomainEnv.sh file to set the PermSize be 1024 m and MaxPermSize to 2048. (the name of the variable is something like that, maybe not the)
exactly on time. "I think you can understand that one is). But the problem is still there.

then in 2 cases in the first place the jdev and integrated wls works fine, but when I deploy an application that works well in one ear of the file, and then deploy it to a
WLS (10.3.5) autonomous it never Works.the dumb mistake is something libraries of reference/dependencies was not found. Then I tried again a server connection to
the autonomous wls and I got the tutorial [how_to_deploy_adf | http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html], as the tutorial says I my standalone patch
WLS with adr and everything is fine, no error reported. Then I tried the new server in the new slot machine the adminserver management and apply the
the ADF model in him will overload / console em. But after I restarted the new server (by the console, and then by file stop + startweblogic.bat) the server is running
the application in the new server is just 'not available '. I tried for three times in three computer, two of them are running win7, it runs Windows XP.

I don't know what the problem is and I'm quite a beginner on this subject. Someone help me please. Thank you very much!

    respect, Neo.

    Neo,
There are a few problems. First of all, jdev comes with its own jdk provided in the product (jdk 1.6_x). The next thing is that if you use JDev 11.1.2.3.0 to build an application you must use a wls 10.3.5 and 10.3.6 where you need to install the appropriate on runtime. In your case, you first install adf runtime 11.1.1.6.0 and then you need to install two patches that update the adf to 11.1.2.3.0 life. These husks are only available through support.oracle.com, which means that you need a support contract to get.
More information you can find in my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/jdeveloper-versions-vs-weblogic-server-versions/
The rest of your problems disappear once you have installed the adf right on your server runtime.

  • Need help to change the display resolution the VMA console

I installed the VMA app and I'm able to use it.  Unfortunately, the console screen resolution is not high enough (output is difficult to read with low resolution).  Please let me know if you have instructions on how to change it and thanks in advance.

How do you access the vMA console? What is the resolution of your monitor? You must use a SSH client.
