The opening of Smartphones from blackBerry screen options

On my torch, on the home screen, sometimes the tray completely disappears, and sometimes the upper line of the icons indicates at the bottom of the screen. I want it to disappear completely as a default setting. How do I do that?

I've sorted myself. Did a search through messages previous and found that all I have to do is to grab the edge and slide it downwards. So simple! Nothing about this in the user guide well.

  • Lock of Smartphones from blackBerry screen stops

    Hello world.

has anyone else had the question when you turn off the screen on your phone via pressing the power button, it turns off the phone. It does not turn off or something like that. just as I hit the power button to turn off the screen when im using my phone at the moment, the screen goes black... What is normal, but then when I hit the power again button or even drag the keyboard I receive nothing.

I tried a soft reset, Ive tried a reload of the firmware via the instructions in this article. the only thing that works uses the application called 'Stay Alive' that never let the phone go up the lock screen/stopcock of the screen. It is a terrible work around, but it works. However, I am extremely tired of this and I'm really * beep * off that I don't have a phone normal fuctioning (Yes... first world problems).

Moreover, the only way I can get it to turn back is tapping on the back of the phone, where I guess the connection of the battery is.

and of course, the only time I don't have insurance for my career, I have a problem. To get a new one is not an option (without paying the * beep * for her) and I'm stuck with this phone for the next 18 months.

I sincerely believe that it is a manufacturing defect, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion or a solution?

Hello and welcome to the community!

It seems that you already have even more drastic attempts to remedy. But, if this is a defect, then it is covered! All you have to do is use the free support that provides the BB for all the owners PRIV... refer:

  • Update the Firmware of Smartphones from blackBerry to 4.5 is crushed, but updated it lost contacts, messages etc.

Hope someone can help me, I me upgrade the firmware on a 8300 colleagues, he crashed with a fatal error. He must have reached a stage where he has updated and was about to copy the original data back in because that all user information are empty. I know he he saves when it upgrades the firmware I need to know is there a way to manually restore this backup. I ran the same procedure on my 8300 own no problem but unfortunately my colleague has never saved her using the desktop app, then he lost everything. Thanks in advance

Search the PC for any file.. *.ipd. all the files backup Blackberry device end by extension "pi."

I hope you find that and then using Desktop Manager > restore > advanced, in the left pane, choose open, navigate to the ipd file and restore the databases to the device.

I don't see how I can remove all of the files that are more out of my device memory.

    What is the solution here?

The device memory 2.5 MB free space

    1. that ^^ stands for me as a red flag. 2.5 MB of free space is too low. You really need clear a space of memory, applications, etc., from your device or you continue to have problems.

    2. I do not recommend the upgrade route based on the web that you are trying to do. I've seen too many problems.

    Do the upgrade manually.

First save your device completely, using the Desktop Manager. Then close DM.

Then, follow the instructions IN this link and downloading the 5.0.0.41 OS 9 for the Storm 9530

(I guess you have a 9530, it would be useful to the future of your State apparatus model - there are four different models of storm).

  • Icon timer of Smartphones from blackBerry in the middle of the screen

Hey hope someone can help me with this. These days my phone has like a little black box which one could say is like a small clock, because it has a white line that goes around it, as it is counting the time. Anyway the problem is happening constantly if the phone is used or not, and uses my battery. I completely loaded before I went to sleep last night and woke up and the battery has been drained. I removed the battery several times to reset but it did not help. Someone at - it ideas?

You certainly have applications that run in the background, maps, an active web browser page or something of the sort.

Also, make sure that you have disabled memory Cleaner (Options > Security > garbage collection). You don't need it.

To avoid a freezing response development or late / slow on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure applications CLOSE when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

This notification stays on the screen, then it goes to the home screen where the unit is locked and shows "new messgae" notes. But Im not able to touch anything, cannot. What should I do?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, try to reverse what you did.

  • Help the Smartphones from blackBerry 8900 Curve calendar

    Hi all

Does anyone know how to clear all entires of the grille on a BB 8900 Facebook decided to put all birthday into my calendar, and I don't want them there.

Thanks muchly in advance for your answers.

    Andy

Here you go... (ignore the reference to your address book, this process works for the address book or calendar, in your case).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. The left pane, it is what will be saved from your device, and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • Disappeared from the Smartphones from blackBerry App World

I turned on my phone today and was looking for my App World, but could not find. In my view, that he disappeared after I switched to themes. I did a battery pull, but nothing has changed.

OK, so please check here (depending on your operating system level):

    • Home screen > Options > Applications
    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications
    • Home screen > Options > device > application management

If the AppWorld is listed, then it is installed. Browse all folders and make sure you have "Show all" active while you do. If it is not installed, then... Well well... it isn't... but can be re-installed by going through your BB browser to this url:

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Bold 9900 stole, but it does not block the service provider

    Hello

My phone got stolen, but it does not block the service provider. All they did was disable the sim card.

BlackBerry protect now cant work because the phone cannot connect to the network.

Don't know what else to do

It is each carrier as they will blacklist the device or simply to block the SIM card.  The good news is that no one can rack up charges on your account using your old phone.  Now when you get a new, open a BlackBerry Protect session and cancel the old phone.  You can then connect your new phone and restore your contacts.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones from blackBerry 8800 - does not satisfy the requirements of system for the app world

Hi, I have recently boght a second hand blackberry 8800, o2 and now a tesco in it sim card, running V 4.2.1.101.

The problem is that I can't download app world.  I can navigate and use BBM so my blackberry is on?

I called and checked with Tesco, and they can see that I have data plans etc., just need to update my OS.  But when I plug it into the computer and run a check of update he says that he has none is available.  In addition, the requirements for App world are V4.2 I have, so I'm getting a bit stuck now.

Any help would be great I'm getting a bit bored now! TA

The obligation of execution AppWorld is not OS 4.2, it is OS 4.5 according to the download page on www.blackberry.com .  That's where you run problems.  Update your operating system that would solve.

Here is the link showing that:

  • Software update of the Smartphones from blackBerry 6.0

I recently bought a Blackberry Curve 9330 3. Then I recently updated my software on the phone. I was pretty well satisfied with what was on it before upgrading the software. Why are there 6.0 caught on wallpapers and ringtones that came on the phone? Now, I have limited the changed wallpapers and ringtones. Why what happened? I didn't know the software necessary to remove the background wallpapers and ringtones to be replaced by others and is limited to this. If it can be reported, I want to know how to bring it back without having to release the new software.

Ringtones and wallpapers are built into the operating system. OS6 includes its own, like OS5

RIM has provided quick and easy access to install the older OS5 ringtones.

Go to the ADDRESS below using your BlackBerry browser:

    http://mobile.BlackBerry.com/resources/MBC/downloads/Ringtones/DRM/net_rim_bb_medialoader_ringtones _...

    It will install live.

    Wallpapers... I do not know.

    Good luck.

  • Blackberry Bold 9700 Smartphones from blackBerry backup

    Hello!

I was able to backup data from my phone to the computer before it broke down. (Shows a white screen, I think the problem is the display screen)

    The questions are:

1 is easy to fix the problem?

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

    3. How can I transfer all the data again to a new phone? Should this phone be a Blackberry in order for contacts/messages/photos to be transferred?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

    Hello

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

In my view, that can be firmly answered by a technician with the device by hand. If the problem is not a hardware problem, you might be able to recover it with this:

    ateliermd2003 wrote:

    2. how to open the data stored on my computer? I need to check some contacts and text messages.

Natively, the backup file (BBB or RPI, depending on the version of the Desktop software you used) is intended for a single purpose... as the source of restoration to a BlackBerry. But there are several 3rd PC-based 3rd party there apps that can analyze the file backup, some even to do something else with the resulting data. I've never needed, but I heard good things about MagicBerry. Search for a few seconds (for example, on Google) and I'm sure you will find plenty of candidates for your needs.

To transfer to another BB, simply perform the restore:

    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

To transfer to another device, these 3 save game file analysis applications (from your point 2 above) would be your source... you would have to understand what requires this device non - BB and then manipulate the data in the required format and then use whatever of this non - BB device has to load the data on this device.

    Good luck!

  • Message of Smartphones from blackBerry icon - no message

    Hello

I have a new mesasge icon on my screen but there is no message. I checked all the files, I have marked all as read, I did a reset by removing the battery, I connected to Blackberry Desktop Manager and deleted all the messages and then put another and I still have the icon. It appeared after I had connected to Desktop Manager and accepts updates.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello!

Did you go in the actual application of the Messages? Or just the icons for individual e-mail account? Messages collects messages from many lines, some of them are led not by e-mail and therefore the message appears in the Messages. Starting in the Messages, try the search function - there are options to set which make global across all lines and for unreads only... I hope that it will find it.

Good luck and let us know!
