  I found several threads on this site about containing error messages: mk:@MSITStore, but none of them seems to fit my situation.
  I worked in HR on a project, generated a new file chm a couple of times a day. No problem. Then suddenly after generating once, that I could not open the chm - no HR project, not in the folder, not in the copy of the (newly generated) chm on desktop.
  The message is: ' could not open the file: mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program Files\RoboHelp Office...\... \filename.chm.
  I reduced it here with a couple of records, but no, it's not very deep. I ' ts at the same level as my other projects, so it's not the problem.
  
  I can open the former chm files generated to other projects as before, so there's nothing wrong with the help function itself. I tried to remove the chm file, restart my pc, regenerating - but no result.
  
  I also tried the MJ Diagnostics and the only problem found was:
  HTML Help 1.x components workshop * HH not found or not installed correctly. Try to reinstall.
  But it seems that this 1.x is something very old and my installation has worked so far. Do I really need to reinstall something and exactly what and how? Is this a component HR or MS?

  Thanks for trying to help out. It is now resolved. I should have written the solution here right now, but I was so happy that I could continue my work, so I forget.)

  What I did I looked at the diagram of the single source and I thought the size of the CHM file to optimize could pose a problem (a shot in the water - but you must try everthing). I deselected it and regenerated. Voila - it worked. With trembeling hands, I chose this new and refreshed - it still worked. Perhaps this change of the provision made to re-register correctly, restart from scratch. But I thought I had tried a similar thing before, when a new fact of layouts to see if they would work, and they do not have.

  Thus, it is resolved, but I don't really know what was bad and what was resolved.

• links appears in the .chm file

  I worked on a new project to help file. I have a problem on some of the generated pages (which contain hyperlinks) in the .chm files. I create the page help & hyperlinks. They work very well in test mode.
  When I generate the help, pages opens well, but the is no longer posting the links hyperlink (or work!).
  Specifically, they have lost to indicating them that they are a hyperlink & the color of the text is returned to being the normal 'black' for general text of underscore.
  Is this problem with the help of some files in this project a few days ago. I fixed it by recreating these pages and related links. However, since making it as much work, he appeared in another page.
  I read here that someone else had a similar problem and someone suggested, it may be the length of the text in the name of the link, but appears not to be the problem in my files...
  I'd rather not have to re - create pages each time to solve this problem, and without having to scroll through the entire project whenever I generate to make sure that the links did not file pages - so if anyone has any ideas why this happens, I would really appreciate hear you!

  That's ok--there are probably reasons to doubt me - I'm quite rusty with RoboHelp, so chances are it's me!
  Yes, the topic is certainly... but if the full path name can perform, which would defnitely be a problem...

  the path to the link is:

  & location of the complete project (down to the folder where the link does not is):
  My Documents\test APRE HELP FILES\APRE_Front_End_User_Guide_Files\APRE_screen_overview\APRE_screen_overview_menus

  But why it happens on this page help & not with links on other pages?

  I think you have solved it - I just tried to add a link to this topic to another topic in the same subfolder & it works great. I'll so rename these files & see how I hear.

• In RoboHelp 2015, are there changes with regard to the CHM files?

  I would like to know if there is a significant change for CHM files.

  The only option that I use for output is Microsoft HTML Help to generate CHM files. I can't use other (WebHelp and etc.).

  Well, I use the demo version of HR 2015 but I did not notice a significant change regarding the CHM files.

  The dynamic filter is not applied to it. I am currently using RoboHelp 9, so I ask you to these changes because I'm thinking that if it's worth changing HR 2015, because I use the output HTML, I only generate CHM files.

  I am trying to compare the two versions and I try to note their differences, but if you know some that it would be useful for me.

  Your English is very good! Yes, dynamic content filtering is only available with the latest reactive HTML5. Available for CHM output functions are mainly dictated by Microsoft because the format of HTML (.chm) help is their owner specification.

  RoboHelp has added a few things on top of the base CHM (skins for CHMS, glossary and browse sequences, etc.), but you won't find many features more modern in CHMS because Microsoft has continued to develop a long time ago.

  That said, while the CHM format may not have a lot of bells and whistles that you hope to, the new 2015 RoboHelp has many other advantages that make it easier create and justify an upgrade.

• Error message when the chm file is opened and opening topics/links

  I am a user of RoboHelp 10 and tried to generate HTML Help. When I try to open the chm file, you receive the following error message. When you click Yes or no to clear the error, it opens OK. The error message also appears WHEN you click a hyperlink in the project or open a topic.

• How to add the 'search' tab in the .chm file

  All of these days, I was using HR - 5 to create the .chm file. Today, I went to HR - 9. The chm file had the option to search automatically activated in HR - 5. But in RH - 9, glossary option only is available and I am not able to add the adjacent "Search" tab at the tab Index. Please refer to the screenshot for more details.

  Please help me solve this problem that the customer expect tab "Search" for sure.

  What show you in your image is a mismatch. The tab says glossary, but the content of the show search tab.

  I think that in this case I suggest you try to define a new window with the attributes you need. Then configure the default window for the page layout that you are using.

  You define the window by:

  1. ensure that Microsoft HTML Help is the default layout.

  2. click on display > pods > project implemented and you should see the windows there.

• some text missing in the chm file

  I recently converted to RH9, and I use Robohelp HTML. When I compile a chm file, some of the text in headings does not appear in the chm or 'display the selected item '. Here is an example of the WYSIWYG compared to 'display the selected item '. The chm file has the same missing text.

  

  I noticed that most of my subjects are OK, but who is formatted similarly to this topic are not okay - same problem of missing text (and some weird formatting problems)

  First make a copy of your project. Then right click in the paragraph and you will probably see an option to delete or remove attributes. If the first case, it is enough to click on it and try again. If this last click that and you will get a dialog box. It may or may not be obvious to those to be deleted, if it is not obvious, take a screenshot and post here.

  As you will have a backup, he has nothing to lose.

• Index in the .chm file is incorrect

  I use RoboHelp X 5 with Windows XP SP3. I have an index which is correct in RoboHelp, but not in the .chm file. In RoboHelp, I have great book as a keyword and several secondary keywords. However, in the .chm file, secondary keywords appear under General Ledger Journal instead of accounting. I've attached screenshots of the two at the bottom of this post, and I pasted the appropriate section of the project .hhk file. (.Hhk file is really long, so I wanted to insert all this).

  While train to solve this problem, my colleague changed the key word of the great book general Edger and that fixed the problem, but obviously we cannot keep it this way.

  I tried the following:

  • Compared to this section of the Perfect file to others. I may have missed something, but it seemed OK to me.
    
  • Has started the project, removed the Perfect file and then saved a change on the HR regenerated the Perfect file index.
    
  • Delete the file .cpd.
    
  • Deleted and réentré all the keywords.
    

  When the problem started, the subkeywords ledger appeared under periods of future instead of General Ledger Journal - I'm not sure what I did to change it, but I think it was when I removed and then reinstated the keyword for future periods.

  Unfortunately, none of them worked. I saw another thread to a similar issue where the solution was to create a second index and copy the key words on it, but I do not think that X 5 allows a second index.

  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

• Titles of policies at the beginning of the .chm file

  I recompile a number of WinHelp 2000 projects in Microsoft HTML Help. Some of the .chm files that result are displaying the name of about 20 fonts on the homepage before the main text. It seems to me that some of the source files can have corruption (they are several years old and have been used with RoboHelp in its different forms for a few years now). Does anyone have an idea what is the cause and how to fix it?

• problems with a collapse of the books in the .chm files

  In my .chm file generated, when I'm in a file in one of the books and click on a link that brings me to another book of this .chm file, my original book automatically collapses. This does not happen in all my projects, though - is there a setting to make sure few matter where I am, books in my table of expanded content stay unless I click on the expand/collapse button?

  There are a bunch of parameters that govern the way which is behavior the table of contents. To edit, look at your neighborhood single Source Layouts. Right click on the layout you want to change (in your case, Microsoft HTML Help). See this button named Edit to the right of the parameters advanced? Click on it and you will see that a dialog box named HTML Help - advanced settings. You should now see a 'TOC Styles' tab. Click on this tab. The option that causes the open books collapse when opening another book is named single click to open books. Deselect this option and dismiss all dialog boxes. Re-compile and you must then set.

• Full text search does not work in the CHM file

  I use Robohelp for Word X5.0.1 and Office 2003 to create my CHM file. Full text search worked perfectly, but my boss has spent a day in my workstation installation tips and apparently it has changed some configurations, since then, the search finds nothing, he always comes up with "no topics found" even though I am looking for key words that are in at least one subject.
  
  I don't know if it's just a coincidence, or it y ' has a link, but also from the day, I do not hide you get hot spots to hide in the text of words. Thus, for example, an access point which appeared in Word as {bmc button.bmp}, now appears in the form: {bmc button.bmp} Topic_Name.   Just to register that I solved the problem.

  I tried to reinstall HR, but that did not work. I was about to give up when I noticed that an error was to come when I compiled the project: the infamous "HHC6003: the file itircl.dll has not been saved correctly. I found out that only fix you this problem by saving another dll: itcc.dll

  Once you solve this problem, the compilation is perfect and full-text search works properly again.

• Hyperlinks in the chm files merged does not

  I've been using Robohelp X 3 years and have a large enough hlp project which consists in reality of 8 separate projects.

  I have converted the files in chm format and got the table of contents merged to work but I can not all hyperlinks that point to topics in other chm merged to work files. When I click on the link, I get "cannot display the page.

  I tried to create links from scratch, but still not good. What is the correct procedure for this?

  It looks like you do not have Microsoft HTML Help set as your single source available. The Remote section option is available only when it is.

  I just want to check that you use the HTML HR rather than the HR for the Word application. I ask because many users WinHelp try to build HR for application Word CHMS. It is best to use the HR HTML application for the production of CHM, as it is better designed for this purpose. Efforts of MS Word to generate the HTML is terrible IMHO while the code HTML in RH8 is so much better.
