The picture orientation for printing from Lightroom's auto-detection

Lightroom does have a feature that can automatically detect the orientation of the photo?  I have a lot of photos to print - some in the landscape and the other in portrait.  I would send them all to detect it at the time, rather than the landscape ones, then the portrait of lot.  Is there a way to do it and have them print correctly?

Check the box "Turn worthy" in the image settings panel in the printing Panel.

  • Changing the default settings for printing in Office Picture Manager

Anyone know how to change the default setting for printing in Office Picture Manager?

I have a user who clams that when they try photo printing settings in Office Picture Manager has been configured to print bac2 and paper 4 x 6.  Now when it prints, it must use the drop-down list boxes to tell it to print from bac2 and paper 4 x 6.
I changed the default settings of the printer to print from the bac2 and use paper 4 x 6, but they must still use the drop-down list boxes in Picture Manager.
    Thank you!

Although I maded the changes to the properties of the Windows printer I had to do that to solve the problem.

    To solve the problem:

    1. once in the print of the image window there is a link 'Options '.... "at the bottom right.

    2. once it's a click a print settings window that opens there. You will need to click on the link 'printer properties '.

    3. now the printer Document Properties window appears. Change of Source paper and media here.

    4. click on the OK button and now it's good to go.

  • The printer options not available when printing from Lightroom

    Hi all

I have a problem with the interface of Lightroom 2 (version 2.4, executed in 64-bit mode on my Intel Apple Mac with Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard)) to my printer driver, an Epson Stylus Photo R800.  I can see looking through the forum that there has been a lot of problems with printers, but none as far as I can see that seem to cover my particular problem.

In the Lightroom print module, after setting everything up, selecting the correct ICC profile for the printer/paper etc. I click on the button "print...". "at the bottom of the right panel to launch the dialogue of the printer.  My problem is that the essential options, I need access to this printer dialogue, namely 'Print setting' (to determine the media type, and print quality) and "Color management", (to disable the printer color management)-are disabled.  To be exact, these options have a line through them, as if they were crossed.  "Print option" and "Setting the Extension" are similarly disabled, while "Layout", "Paper handling", "Cover Page" and Planner "are available.  (See JPEG screenshot attached.)

If I try to select one of the options not available such as 'Color management' I see the following on the screen error message:

"The bundle 'Color management' couldn't be responsible because it does not contain a version for the current architecture.  Contact the creator of all here for the most recent version: Color Management 3.09, SEIKO EPSON CORPORATION 2001-Copyright (C) 2005. All rights reserved. »

The strange thing is, if I print from Photoshop CS3, there is not this problem: "Print setting" and "Color management" are not disabled, and I can make the adjustments I want.

Coming off the printer prints color are way off if I print from Lightroom, so that from Photoshop, they are great - I guess because of this problem (I can not turn off printer in Lightroom color management, so that I can in Photoshop).

I guess that this is a problem in the interface between Lightroom 2 and my printer driver, but I find it strange that I don't have the same problem in Photoshop.

I have re-installed the latest printer driver downloaded from the website of Epson many times, following the instructions to the letter to Epson to remove the old drivers of my machine, to nothing does not.

I really want to print from Lightroom instead of Photoshop, I like the simplicity of the Lightroom print module.  Can anyone throw any light on this?  Any help or ideas gratefully received!

    Thank you

    Ian

Just save a driver of printer/preset in any 32-bit application. Then apply this preset when you print from LR runs as a 64-bit application. It is only the interface that is the problem. It should show very well, at least it does with Canon printers.

  • How to type vertical text from the bottom up with the right orientation for a graph?

How to type vertical text from the bottom up with the right orientation for a graph?

Hello! Below, I'll demonstrate how to have vertical text in two different ways.

    Example 1:

    1. below, I have a graph and want to label the vertical axis.

Select the text tool, and then the Vertical text tool.

2 with the vertical Type tool, I tap on my vertical label.

3 with the move tool, then I can orient the text in a position desired, as shown in the examples below.

If this isn't the desired orientation of the vertical type you would like. I have the example 2 below.

    Example 2:

    1. After typing my text vertically with the Vertical Type tool (in example 1), I want to move to a horizontal position. I can go up to the options panel and select the icon "show/hide text orientation", surrounded by below. It will pass the text back and forth between vertical and horizontal.

2 after the passage of the text to be horizontal, I want to change the orientation of the text, so it is aligned with my vertical axis.  Go in Edit > transform > Rotate as shown below.

3 you want to can Rotate the text as indicated below.

4 text is not in the right position we want, so we have to move the text, as illustrated below. Press enter/return to perform the complete transformation.

    5. the text is shown below.

  • HP 8630 will authorize specifying the second tray for printing shortcut.

All-in-one printer inkjet HP 8630 range Pro will not accept specifying the second tray for printing shortcut. Indicates that the parameter is a conflict and obliges the "Printer Auto Select" option instead of allowing me to select "tray 2" which is an option. I like to keep a white shining in tray one and photo paper in tray 2 and made the my HP 8500 Pro for everything that I needed to do is select the appropriate shortcut configured by me to print the photo. Operating system is windows XP Pro.

I want to start by apologizing for not picking up on this on your first post. The 8630 2nd tray print 8.5 x 11 or 8.5x14 paper.

The reason why what impression pictures he says that there is a conflict and if he chooses the main tray is because there is no choice. The printer does not have the ability to print photos from the 2nd drawer. If you're looking to load media into the trays you need 8.5x11 or 8.5x14 in the 2nd tray and other media can be loaded in the main tray.

In the printer's Specifications in paper output specifications > paper tray capacity & Supported sizes of paper in you shows what's available for trays.

Change the source of your document must make all the problems disappear.

    Kind regards

  • Printing from Lightroom settings - Paper Type

I have a printer Canon Pro-10. We know that in the printer settings if you set the Type of media to a fine arts paper then the driver applies a margin of 30mm printing. So if you try to print from Lightroom, but have margins of 10 mm, it refuses to print until you change something.

Now I can get around this by setting the media type on a photo paper so I could print the edge on a paper fine art.

    My question is;

I can set the paper size in the Page Setup dialog box, I color managed by Lightroom and I actually use the right ICC profile for the paper and printing, this media Type setting does nothing with regard to printing? I printed some impressions on canvas and I see no difference in print quality?

It seems that the only difference in the Fine Art media Type parameter is the border forced 30 mm margin. Apparently, there is a potential to curl around the edges if you print without margins on paper Fine art. As long as you use a media Type for a type of similar paper it should work fine as you have experienced it. Just make sure you use the right paper Fine Art LR catalog profile > Print Job > color management.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium: How can I preset the trays used for printing and copying?

I love this machine except for one thing. It takes the paper for printing from the lower drawer. So I used the top plate for single supply of envelopes. Then I'm going to copy something and it makes me put the paper in the upper tray, when the lower plate is full!

How can I determine if just use paper in the lower tray for copying too?

    Hello

You should change the copy settings to use the 2nd tray, then you can set it as default:

    1. Click the copy on the front panel of the printer.
    2. Click settings.
    3. Click Select status bar , and then select tray 2.

You can set the default tray by selecting set as new defaults in the settings menu even.

  • Question about preparing files for printing from Photoshop

I need to understand the best way to save for print from Photoshop. Here are the things that are confusing to me:

Problem: When I create a design in Photoshop, I find myself with a few options on how to save my document. I would like to know which of the following statements is the best method:

Method 1: create a PDF, and embed the fonts. This method, which worries me because I read that some fonts will not be open on the end of beneficiaries because of restrictions imposed by the manufacturer of the police. I should be concerned or is embedding fonts the best route to take?

Method 2: Convert all types of forms. This method seems to be the most secure, but I read problems related to this road as well. A site commented that having too much text converted into forms can cause extremely long print times. Is this true?

Another problem I encountered with the conversion of text in forms is when I have a paragraph that has more than one color of text... convert forms converts just one color. I would like to know a work around that. Currently, I create separate layers for different text colors and try to align them manually... a lot of your time. I know that InDesign would be best for this kind of thing, but Photoshop works very well for me, asside from this little thing).

Method 3: Flatten my whole design (text and everything) at 300 dpi. My text will look like flattening crunchy at this resolution?

Thanks to all who can help clarify this for me. I read so much incompatible information online that I don't know what to think.

It would be great if there were a being all put an end to all the applications that actually everything we dream in one application. Maybe someday, but it's not the reality at this point. There is no IllustPhotoDesigner, so we need to deal with what we have to work with. It beats paper and pens, at times, but it has limits as well.

In fact, In Design is much easier to use then Photoshop. You take the tool like Photoshop and type text. You place the images using the place command. You create PDF files by exporting to PDF or use the print dialog box.

Photoshop is great for editing images of several kinds. Text is not really one of them unless you perform a text as a graphic you want to create an image in the text.  Creating a paragraph of text ends usually soft because if you're setting type in Photoshop, you are dealing with the resolution of the file so that if you type set In Design, you are not limited to the resolution of files, but the resolution of the device output you print on.

Windows Explorer.  Using large icons, I can't see a picture.   The picture flashes for a second then appears the default icon (a lake and mountain). I can only view a photo in the photo library.  This just started happening.  What has gone wrong?

    Miniatures,

Open your my pictures location, click on organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the view tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply and save.

Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a menu drop-down symbol, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

When I press the END/PRTSC for print screen button, nothing happens.  How can I print screen on my new laptop computer?

Using the PrtScr button takes a screenshot and put it in your Clipboard. You must then use another program (e.g. Windows 7 Paint) and paste so that it becomes a new image which you can then manipulate or print.

    "Print Screen" is a misnomer.
