The problem of the Cirrus network latency
Recently, I did with a few simple tests using Cirrus and then try to apply it on my project.
Before using the Cirrus, each customer along with each other through the message broadcast from a socket server. Now, the same group to speak directly.
After testing and verfied the function, then I added logic to calculate the latency of the network like this:
1. a customer is picked up as the host of the group.
2. He calls group.post () to send the Ping message every 10 seconds.
3. each client manages the messge to post in response group.sendToNearest () to the host.
4. the host calculate latency using the time to send and receive time.
In fact, these two clients are on the same computer, but the result is around 500 to 1000 milliseconds, which is very slow and confused me a lot.
If someone please explain that? Or what could be the problem that I have done wrong and not noticed.
Thank you
Sam
validation does not instantly propagate through a group. the display system is set to a reasonable compromise between overhead, fairness and timeliness, for the scenario where each Member of a group can post something once in a while (which was the case for which it was designed).
sendToNearest/sendToNeighbor/sendToAllNeighbors complete immediately. Note that for sendToAllNeighbors, a "neighbour" is a counterpart that is directly connected to the group, and you may not be connected directly to all members of the Group (especially when the Group has more than 10-15 members).

Windows Vista, the network latency got bad
Yesterday, I changed the network router on my Windows Vista (edition Home premium) and this led me to run some of the internet speed test sites. I see high network latency on the network speed available test sites. The download speed is very good, but my network on my Windows Vista system latency time increased from 19 ms to about 500 ms. It is quite a big change (X 25), so I'm a little worried about it. I don't think that it is a router problem because I also have a Windows XP system that is connected to the router, and he still sees about 19 ms network latency. Just to be sure, I changed the system of Windows Vista and Windows XP system router ports, and the latency of each system has not changed, so I don't think that it is a router problem.
I think so the network on Window Vista system stack has been damaged in some way, and I'm looking for help to repair. My first thought was the restoration of the system, but I can't go far enough to make it useful. The only system restore point that I currently have (for some reason any) yesterday, and it shows the same 500 ms of latency of the network on the Windows Vista system. Can someone help me to troubleshoot or fix this problem?Thank you very much.-RogerWell, one of those moments of "Doh!" ... found another article on the internet, this time, it gives an idea for my system... I was using Chrome 3.0 as my browser when I ran network speed sites that gave me the time of high latency, with that I was worried. I found that my time of network latency on Vista, as measured by Firefox 3.5.3 is about 19 million, and for IE8 is about 10 MS, which both are very good. My conclusion therefore is that Chrome 3.0 marked the beginning of a new era of the network latency that is bad for me. Or maybe it's Eset Nod32, antivirus, it does not matter (when I turned Nod32 which made no difference to the number of Chrome, well off)...
I had no idea that Chrome 3.0 was this badly inconsistent with everything that he fights with on my computer Vista, but I don't need because I have a couple of other browsers which are very good.
Interesting, even when...

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

Irregular problem connecting to the wired network
My Windows 7 PC has an irregular problem, connect to the local network of cable through a provided network of the netgear modem/router.
The connection timeout is the question and sometimes takes a while four two minutes or more.
A reboot of the pc never seems to resolve but (quite often, in fact usually) will be a restart of the modem.
The modem is always on (as the announced network connection is supposed to be).
The network provider has replaced the modem, and the problem persists. This leads me to believe that there is a start up or similar problem with the pc.
I ran the troubleshooter in windows... no chance/results. Is there a "fixit" tool I could try or something similar?
Happy to clarify, to provide more information and appreciate any input.

Problems connecting to the internet using the wireless network connection
I can't connect to the internet using my wireless network connection. I had made the diagnosis and he stated that "the DHCP is not enabled for the wireless network connection. I had checked the DHCP, but it has been activated!... Someone would give any suggestion for me to solve the problem?
Open the run command box by pressing Windows key + R, type services.msc and press enter . Search The Client DHCP and check if it is enabled or disabled. If disabled then turn it on and see if the problem still persists or not.
Open the run command box by pressing Windows key + R, type cmd , and press enter . At the command prompt, type ipconfig/all and press ENTER. Now, check the IP address, default gateway, DNS etc. If you find all the information is correct, but you cannot yet access the Internet so if you connect the wireless network is secure or not. To determine the glance to the wireless network icon in the taskbar, then click on it. It will show you the available wireless networks. If there is a "yellow shield" present on the network icon, the network is not guaranteed, if there is no "yellow shield" does while the network is secure. In a secure network, you might have a "network security key. In this case try to disable the 'Network security key' option for this network. To do this:
Open Control Panel , click network and Internet , click network and sharing Center , click manage wireless networks on the left.
In the list select the wireless network and do a right click, select Properties, Security disable tab all options that is, in security type do not select no authentication (Open) and to the type of encryption , select none . You can also activate the automatic connection and SSID settings to further enhance connectivity, on the connection tab, click to select the "connect automatically if this network is in range " and "check boxesto connect even if the network is broadcasting his name (SSID) .
For more information click here and see how you can determine whether a network is secure or not.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-know-if-a-wireless-network-is-secure
If the problem still persists, then check your firewall settings and make sure that the firewall is not blocking your Internet connection. Some software Antivirus has a built-in firewall and they block by default all unknown connection to the tightening of security.
Try to restore Windows Firewall default settings. Open Control Panel click on network and Internet , click system and security , click Windows Firewall , click default settings .
Hope this will help. Thank you.

problem witththe driver for the wireless network connection card
Quite suddenly my laptop (Toshiba) could not connect to my Modem and printer. I can only connect to the internet with a cable connection to the modem. The printer reports no problem with the connection. Troubleshooting report 'Problem with the driver for the wireless network connection card.' Problems also with ISATAP MS Driver adapter and Teredo Tunneling adapter. Software could not solve the problem. A technician online know-how also faled to solve the problem after an hour trying everything - uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. He thought it would be a virus even though I have several active antivirus programs. Any ideas? Should I chuck the laptop away and buy a new one?
If, as you say, you have several active antivirus running programs, they will conflict with each other and you will have no protection
Visit the support of Tosh, specific to your model, and reinstall the drivers for the chipset and wireless

I have a problem with the wireless network card.
Hello
I use a laptop Medion MIM 2210 and I have a problem with my wireless network adapter.
I get a message before Windows 7 starts telling me that there is problem with a wireless driver. The exact message says:
"Intel UNDI, PXE - Z.0 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997,1998,1999 Intel Corporation
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter v2.43 (2005/12/15)
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
"PXE - MOF: exit Inel PXE ROM.
This message appears every time you start and I don't know what he means by "Media Test Failure".
I turned on my laptop today and noticed I had no internet connection, it showed that it connected but with yellow '!' symbol indicating that it was not fully connected. He did this for a while now and I have reinstalled Windows, in safe mode and I tried to delete the drivers and re - install, but it hangs right on uninstall what makes me angry no the case.
Of course now, I tried to look for help my internet connection is running but the message is still there. Can someone tell me what to do or how to solve this problem, I am standing now on what to do. I was also on the drivers Medion website but it is impossible to navigate around and drivers without end there'e to choose. I would consider ringing them and asking them if they were not located in Germany as it would cost me a bomb! I did just now searching online via the Device Manager to see if he can find an update for the drivers but nothing came.
Thanks for any help that anyone can offer :)
The message is to be cause the BIOS looking for boot from LAN (not wireless) before it starts and then from the hard drive. The Media test failure is because to boot from LAN it tests to see if the wired Ethernet is connected, it is not if it generates the error message.
Enter the BIOS press F2 after initial power on but before the Logo Windows shows
Integrated devices should allow you to set the settings of wired network adapter. According to the BIOS it is either "enabled with PXE" or have another option to enable or disable the boot ROM
In the boot options the LAN card should be removed altogether.
This message is ONLY applicable to the transfer of the BIOS boot process and should have no impact on the problems of WiFi (it is not on WiFi)

Problem of not seeing list drop-down connection to the wireless network when checking connections network - pc windows 7.
I just installed a Belkin modem-router - which went well. Can I connect WiFi gadgets etc. I can also connect to the internet via a network cable to my pc. I also installed a belkin usb wireless adapter and in Device Manager, says it is enabled and works.
My problem is, I have no way of choice get a WiFi PC to display in the list (from the notification area) and cannot get the pc to give me options to create a wi - fi connection. The more I get to try to do that is "unexpected error"!
If someone could help on this - I would be very grateful
Good news - update of my ongoing saga with this Belkin modem/router.
Got the pc to see wi - fi now. It turned out to be the Zone Alarm! As the router has a firewall, I uninstalled Zone Alarm completely. Also, I went into the properties of belkin usb and checked it was the most recent drivers, it does not so I installed them.
So far so good
Thanks for the help

What is the problem with the bridged networking option?
I have an iMac intel with 2.5 GB of RAM under Snow Leopard, I recently installed VMware Fusion 3.0 and installed OpenSuse and Windows 7 as guest operating systems. Everything seems to work fine when I use the NAT option for networking. Whenever I try to use a network bridge or the internet or communication between the mac and one of 2 guests is possible (I have only run a prompt at the time). The system seems to create an 'unknown public network' that is an obstacle to any communication.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance.
FWIW, I have no problems switching between NAT and Bridged under VMware Fusion 3.0 and Windows 7 or any other guest operating systems and with good connectivity between the host and guest network and/or reviews and comments.
One thing to remember when you change the default value of NAT at the bridge while the Virtual Machine is running, then one needs to release/renew the IP address. Take a look at: Understanding Networking in VMware Fusion
As to which area Windows 7 puts the card network in the present has nothing to do with VMware Fusion and is only feature in Windows 7 and you, the user of Windows 7 need to learn and understand how the networking (including the Windows Firewall) is configured and works in Windows 7.
