  • Windows Mobile Device host process for Windows Services farm...

    Greetings...

I used my iPaq for years with several versions of Windows up to Vista x 64 final, with Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1. But now when I plug it into a USB Port it does not connect. Shortly after plugging in I get the message: "Peocess host for Windows Services stopped working and was closed. If I reboot or try another port, I could see a new driver installation message, but the result is the same.

    I tried:

    1 reset

2 system restore to a time where the iPaq connected

    3. delete the partnership (a new partnership can now be launched because Windows does not connect to the device)

    4. to install the latest Windows Mobile device driver x 64 (6.1 I think)

5 install the latest Windows updates

So, what did you do to my system to stop what was working? Please advise me on how I could fix your Windows error?

    Thank you very much

    Kenneth Spencer

OK chaps... I'm afraid to say that the support system missed me at this opportunity.

However, I am happy to say that I solved the problem after spending several hours on the subject. What have I done? I did a soft reset on the iPaq and hey presto, it connects now.

I was invited to do the soft reset because I noticed that ActiveSync on the iPaq couldn't be started. I tried to verify the boot parameters, but as it would not start, I could not see, and still less set.

So for the MVP: I suggest that next time arises a question about the failure of the connection for an iPaq, or the host process to crash when it is plugged in, you should firsat suggest a soft reset of the iPaq.

    Thank you very much

  • Host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed & Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server process Launcher service terminated unexpectely

my computer keeps stopping and restarting itself. I get the same messages of 2 error: host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed and; Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server process Launcher service terminated unexpectely. How can I fix? I used the norton support, run analyses of many, nothing has helped.

None of the above works though... I didn't know by another forum to download Hitman 3.5 http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/home that he got rid of a virus that norton, Norton 360 and Malwarebytes antivirus support could not. I had no problem since :)

  • «Get the message at startup...» "Host process for Windows Services has stopped"... and sometimes losing his

I started getting a message every time I boot my laptop Compaq Presario CQ60. Message is "host process for Windows Services has stopped". My speaked symbol now has a red cross I've ever had before. When it turns off I often have not all sounds. I have a feeling that this has happened after an automatic update. I did a system restore, but this does not solve the problem. It's the sound that is most annoying that I never know when or where I will not have it. I hope someone can help

To clarify, the two problems was started at the same time?

I tried to go through the files and remove the sources of the Trojans, I ran several scans Malware Bytes (each indent to 4 Trojan horses, Rpot Kits, Ad/Spyware every time) and recently tried the Windows scanner. I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Try to create another user profile, and then test to see if the problem persists

  • Someone at - it smart enough to: «host process for Windows Services has stopped working...» » ?

I have spent a week on this problem, looking all over the internet and doubt that someone knows enough to solve this problem. I've been a software engineer for 30 years and never worked on an operating system such as buggy windows Vista (or windows)

I got TWO errors. They may be related.

= The first is with Windows Update

    -If you know, I tried:

    At ran windows BITS difficulty
ran sfc/scannow (it found and fixed some iexplorer 8 _)
    has ran defrag and
    has ran chkdsk
drivers replaced with the latest news from Toshiba
has run hardware diagnostics - no problem

I tried with and without firewalls and AV running.
I don't run AVG control and malware - no problem

    Windows Update always fails.

Machine: Vista 32 Home Premium SP2 on a Toshiba Qosmio computer laptop X 305-Q705 4 Gig Duo P7350 Intel with nvidia

Otherwise, Windows works fine. Net access is fine using Mozilla. Even correctly downloaded files. BUT

I get this error: windows update does NOT. It gives an error "failed", whose code is:

    0X80072EFE-2147012866 ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_ABORTED

Also, sometimes strange, windows displays an error dialog box:

"Host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed"

    Hey Joe,

I see that you have updated your drivers.

Have you updated your chipset for this PC drivers?

Are you overclocking PC or running a RAID configuration?

I suggest to remove all external devices during the diagnostic process, except the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

If you think this error is with IE, you can try running it without Add - ons.

Alternatively, you can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.
