The programs may not connect to Internet

OP: Having trouble connecting to certain networks
Im having trouble connecting to my network, but I think that it must be my computer because I tried the free wi - fi and a hard-line and none of them to solve my problem, post-secondary programs are unable to connect to the internet, like my gadgets weather on my sidebar, when I open World of Warcraft preloader unable to connect to the internet and after getting the Second Life I opened the downloader/Installer and it says it cannot connect to internet either, but I still capable of browsing the web, I also tried disabling my firewall and it does not work, can anyone help me?

Well that would make me believe your user profile is damaged. Here is a step by step guide on how to fix a corrupted user profile:

That a try and let me know if the problem goes away!

My laptop works fine if my internet connection is not the problem.  Internet Explorer works fine however when I launch a program like steam, or when I try to download a patch to Warcraft or even Windows Update I get error messages saying that I can not connect.

I tried to turn the Windows Firewall and antivirus off but still no joy.

Run the Norton removal tool and see if that helps. Autour Googling shows a lot of links by using the keyword "uninstall Norton broken Internet Vista". Some people report success after you run the removal tool.

  • After that the virus can not connect to internet

My computer running Windows XP has been infected by a virus 'Alert system' fake who took over the office and hide all my files. I was able to restart in safe mode, run Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials to capture and remove some viruses. I was also able to display most of my files and desktop programs. (I also tried to do a system restore, but this doesn't seem to work). However, I can not connect to the INternet using Internet Explorer. I reset IE, but I can't always connect. It seems that IE starts to open the URL, but is then blocked somehow by the virus, which redirects to the default "diagnose the problem. The cables are connected and the Internet works. What other options are bypassing them that blocking and/or resettlement of IE.

The error you received seems to indicate that there is a need to reset Winsock.  You could try running the FixIt program contained in this article, or the manual procedure:

  • A PC on the network does not connect to internet

This has proved to be very difficult.  A PC on my network has been to connect to the internet.  I thought it was because I installed a new router, especially when I moved the PC to connect directly to my cable modem - when he was working.  But I also thought that upgrading to Windows 7 from WP would take away any problem on the PC - but it didn't.  Thus, with the help of an expert on a Linksys forum, I've implemented (to my satisfaction anyway) is not a router problem.  Indeed his inspection of ipconfig/all and stuff has shown that everything was normal with this PC as well as others.  The PC collects the IP address, etc., it is simply not receiving data from the internet.  I had already checked that it was not a firewall, using Norton Uninstaller issue to ensure that everything was gone.  The network adapter works and I've updated the driver.  I have since also rolled back to XP for doing the same thing and still nothing.

The expert from my router comment was "well, the IP of the computer configuration is correct and the router works as you have other computers that connect to the internet via the router. It seems that if the installation of Windows has serious problems on this computer. I suggest that ask you in a Microsoft forum on how to reset the configuration of the network on your computer to make it work again. So far I would say that it is not a problem with the router or caused by the router. »

The only thing I would add is that system restore has failed for a while on this PC.  Of course I would have used it to try to solve this problem, but I can't.  I tried various fixes for whom these for one, there included opening in SafeMode etc, but nothing worked.

    Help please!

Hi, sorry bit slow on this - alert does not.  The answer would have been wired and Wireless does not, but I just reinstalled a Linksys network adapter and hey presto it works!  I haven't been back to try the wired LAN but guess it still does not.  So I think that the diagnosis of network card is OK but incorrectly excluded earlier because the PC said that he was OK and wireless did not work either at this time.  But I guess it's possible that uninstall and then reinstall the Linksys may have released something somehow.  BTW I had disabled the native Windows Firewall also.  Was it wrong?

  • IPhone lost 6. the batery was about to die. If the phone does not connect to internet. is there a way to keep track of its location?

IPhone lost 6. batery about to dye, it is not connected to the internet. Im trying to track its location by FIND MY IPHONE, but seems to be offline.

I'll be able to track its location? or y at - it another way to track its location?

No, you won't. There is no other way or the other. The only way to find my iPhone to work is if it has been activated prior to the loss, the device is on and it has an active connection to the internet. If one who does not exist, you cannot follow the device. As you say the battery was almost dead, then he's probably already dead. You will not be able to track the device.

  • Will be CC work offline, if the PC does not have an internet connection?

My photo club uses a laptop to demonstrate techniques using Photoshop and other photo editing packages - in this case once a month.
The laptop is used in a place without an internet connection.
It is sometimes taken off-site in order to connect to the internet and run updates/maintenance.

So we bought the program of photography, with the monthly payment, what would happen if the laptop was not connected to the internet for more than 99 days? Apps would go?

Since the demos take place every month, I suspect that we could operate for 3 months and then on the 4th month not to be able to run.

If we connected to a mobile phone, the applications would be able to login and update their status quickly?  or is it a large number of data transfer?

    Hi Phil,

Applications will not run if the subscription is not activated after 99 days, activation also requires no heavy data transfer and internet connection via a mobile phone does not work.

  • Firefox is not connect to internet unless the reboot

So, recently, I had a problem with Firefox does not connect to internet unless I quit and reopen the app.
    It happens like this:
    -J' open Firefox and it works;
    -I lose the internet connection (for example, I turn off my wifi, or my laptop goes to sleep);
-J' I reconnect to the internet.
-Open Firefox browser will not connect to what it is and continues to load when I click a link
-J' I need exit Firefox and restart it before starting work again.

It doesn't go to my other browsers (Safari, Chrome), once I have reconnect to the internet open browser will just continue to work without needing to be restarted.

Is not a big deal, but it's a bit annoying and I would like to know if there is anything I can do about it.

  • iPhone connects to the wifi but does not connect to internet

I have an iPhone running iOS 9.3.2 6s (last updated).

The phone connects to the wifi network, but even if it's to show the signal strength is good, the phone does not charge any internet content (weather, FaceBook, email, etc.).  If I disconnect WiFi and use the data, it works very well.  We have no problem connecting to the computer or a smart TV network wifi and internet connection.

This also happens with my daughter 5s iPhone and iPad for my son.

Sometimes it will work fine on wifi, then a little while later I can't get anything to load. And it can be like right now when I'm at home alone is not as if there's a big load on our wifi.

We have high-speed internet by cable (25 MB/s download speed) and a router Lynksys EA3500.  Encryption is set to WPA (not WEP).

I tried to go into my phone settings and reset the network.  Always problems.

It's really frustrating because you eventually switch to our mobile data and use it instead of our data ' wifi '.  And then to go on our data on our phone plan

Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes (ask for more details if you wish).

    (9) go to the Apple Store for the evaluation of the material.

I'm surprised to hear that for an iPad 2 that the issue had apparently been set for 2 s. Please see this for more details as I know them. Maybe the servers at your site have not been updated yet for the new version of the iPad 2.  ???

Apple released the update iOS 9.3 for older devices (air of iPad and previous iPhone, 5 s and previous) due to problems with Activation. See the following for details and possible solutions.

    http://www.IMore.com/Apple-working-iOS-93-fix-older-iPhone-iPad

A new version for the iPad 2 is now available which does not require the activation step. A new version for other devices is not yet available.

  • I have been connected to the internet (wireless), then I unplugged the router and now I can not connect to internet. I tried diagnose the problem, but he said that he could not.

I have a wireless internet connection for my laptop. I was connected to the internet, and it worked very well, so I had to unplug my router and all of a sudden I can't connect to the internet more. When I open the available networks, I hit connect on mine and he said: it does not work then I hit "diagnose the problem" and then, he says he can't. Also it is not even give me the option to set my password to connect to my network, but it does when I try to connect to any other.

I suggest to unplug all your network cables and unplug the adapter from your modem AND router. ONLY plug your modem back power adapter in. Wait until you get a steady green light on your router, which indicates that it is ready. Then, connect the ethernet cable from your modem to your router INTERNET port. Connect the ethernet cable from your computer to any other ETHERNET port on your router. Finally turn the monitor for your router.

If you do not do so in this order, the router can not connect properly to the internet because it doesn't have the correct IP address of your modem.
