  • Rebuild the recovery partition

    Hi all

Since my macbook pro in construction since a backup time machine, I have no recovery partition. Not sure if the recovery of time machine is the cause, or that the guy who has this laptop (work) in front of me he erased accidentally.

I tried to use the script of "Recovery Partition creator" on several occasions, but it did not work. It becomes very urgent to get the recovery as soon as I'm running into several issues that require me to have the partition:

    • Disk errors on my internal drive that requires a correction
    • Need to encrypt my hard drive
    • Try to resize my disk internal, so I can install El Captain next to my current OS X I just need to test before you lose access to the work of the features (earlier version cannot be installed as he does not like our proxy for example).

Happy to go all the way to 'clean up' and then to retrieve locks of tiem machine, but no idea how to do things right :-(

    Any ideas?

I feel that you are not the first user or 'owner' of the MBP.  If this is the case, I suggest the following:

    Back up all your data.

Erase the HARD drive and start in the recovery of the Internet (OPTION-COMMAND-R) which will connect you to the Apple servers.  Following the directions, you will be able to erase the HARD drive and install the original OSX the MBP came with.  The recovery partition must be created.  (I guess that the MBP is a 2011 late model or newer).

Install a more recent OSX (as appropriate).

    Reinstall your user data.

    Ciao.

  • How can I restore my data with the recovery firefox key?

So, my laptop was recently reimagee. I was able to get a recovery key Firefox before everything has been removed. When I downloaded Firefox on the recreated machine, asked me to connect. After several resets the password, I have been in. None of my data came down from the cloud "firefox". It does give me an option to enter the recovery key. Is it possible to recover all my stuff?

Firefox sync was never to be a backup service, you should always have a printed copy of your data.

You can do it, although there is no guarantee that it will work.

  • Restore iTunes after the recovery of the El Capitan of Time Machine OS

So, I installed El Capitan.  And Safari does not work... so I made the recovery of TM to previous operating system (10.11.5).  Fixed my problem Safari but not iTunes (this copy of iTunes is damaged or is not installed properly. Please reinstall iTunes. (-42037)) Cannot remove iTunes icon and impossible to reinstall iTunes.

I used the Machine time 'recover all'... but it does not give me 100% snapshot/restored the machine... just a previous BONE restored.  Ideas?

It's maybe just me, but I thought has retrieve anything using TM would give me a machine 'duplicate' of the past to be fully functional.

  • Can I change the drive letter of the recovery partition?

HP P7-1235, Win7 64 bit running. 1 TB HARD DRIVE

I usually partition my hard drive, so that my data is separate from the operating system and applications.  the operating system is the C: partition, and my data is generally D:.  The problem is: "D:" is used by the recovery partition.

I can change his letter to something else, and recovery still works?

    Hello

Well, everything has been said on this subject and its okay.

It's better to not touch the D: partition, set another letter to your other partiion, if you change the recovery partition, you won't be able to use it.

But you can also do a thing, you can go ahead and create your copy of the recovery disks, just enter some DVD, create your copy of the recovery Image, then you can change the drive letter of the partition Recovery to E: or even delete that.

A copy of records RRS, you can always use them to again state of the plant, and that will reformat all your partitions, create the recovery disks and do what you want and prefer with you D: partiion.

    Thank you

  • Satellite C650 14U: recovery media creates the recovery partition?

Hello, I used the recovery media creator to create a USB flash drive recovery media.

If I can use that to restore Windows 7 installation on a new hard drive (as the SSD) will be the drive itself have the recovery media on that partition?

So if I then lose the USB could restore again by pressing zero when turn?

Or it does not retrieve the Windows partition and nothing more?

    Thank you

First of all, the new hard drive itself has no partition recovery on it. The recovery partition is a copy of the system partition and locates at another location, therefore, restored from a recovery media unit contains just the partition system without recovery partition.

Second, if you have a recovery on a local disk partition, you can always restore by pressing zero when power on/off. If this isn't the case, I am sorry to say that you don't you have no source of food.

In third place, somehow, we can say that it only retrieves the system partition.

I am hoping to get to the top and running with win2k but will come back on if communal win98se.

My deep gratitude in advance to all.

    Hi mate

It's very old portable machine and I'm afraid that you would not be able to order the recovery for this laptop m disk.
You will need to install the Windows operating system using a disc of Microsoft.

On the European driver Toshiba page, you will be able to find the drivers and software for this laptop.
You must choose Archive product Type, because the old drivers are placed in the archives.

You will find USB - FDD driver. When you connect the USB floppy drive to the laptop it is ask for a TEAC (mainly in Europe) driver or a driver of YE-data (mainly Asian). Please check which of the drivers you need by connecting the laptop floppy drive to download the driver.

You will also find companion diskette. The accompanying disk contains programs to configure computers Toshiba installation information and to test the equipment. It also contains files and utilities that allow you to get the most out of your Toshiba computer.

  • Satellite C650 - failed to create the recovery disk - error 020150-20-00000000 code

I hope this is the right place to post this, but I think I have the same problem with my Satellite C650. He keeps wasting DVDs by stopping and saying that it cannot read the file E:\ZZlmg\11544XSP.swm and gives an error code 020150-20-00000000. The file is located on the DVD. I use Verbatim DVD - R The Recovery Media Creator is trying to write the first disc and is at the point of check data. Can you think of another explanation for this error other than the cheap DVD option? Thank you

    Hello

    There are two explanations;
Either the CD/DVD drive firmware is not up to date and contains no information about the drives used discs (CD or DVD) is not fully compatible.
As you know this is happening and is not uncommon.

So first check if a firmware update is available for your CD/DVD drive.
The European driver of Toshiba page is the right place to look for that.
More details you will find in detail if the firmware has been published for your ODD.

If there is no update firmware of your CD/DVD drive, then you should test other discs

  • Pavilion p6506f: System Recovery option grayed out when you use the recovery to factory default reset disk

    Dear experts,

Please help me on what I am making a solution for about 4 hours now...

Somehow my recovery partition is damaged, so I use the recovery disk that I created when I bought the computer.

I used the disc to start the computer and after loading files and everything on the menu of Recovery Manager "System Recovery" is grayed out.  Note that I have not changed any hardware on the computer.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Hello

You did do the right thing. But you created a Win 7 recovery disk, not the game of HP recovery disks.

You can switch to Win own 10.

You will need the product key Microsoft of the COA sticker attached to the frame of your PC of 25 characters.

    Images of example COSTS:

Do a clean install of win 10 If you do not know the product key of Windows 7 on the certificate of authenticity.

Win 7 PC sometimes have problems updating to Win 10.

I really think you should get support from HP Win 7 recovery. If the Win 10 upgrade fails you can always return Win 7 If you have a Win 7 HP recovery media.

    Your choice.

  • Satellie Pro L830 - 11G - access to the recovery partition

    Hello
    I have a Toshiba Satellie Pro L830 - 11G, running Windows 7

I would like to restore it to the original settings.
I tried various things, but so far no luck.

When I look into the system, I see that the system recovery disk is always classified as "Healthy (active recovery partition)", but there ' hatching / diagonal lines "current running through it (if necessary) - when I right click on this drive, it offers me only the opton of"aid ". It gives so many 1.46 GB AND free space as 1.46 GB

So, I don't know if that means he's here and I can access it somehow, or if it is just an empty disk but with no real possibility to recover original parameters.

    Hello

This 1, 4 GB partition is created by Windows and has nothing to do with the created by Toshiba recovery partition where is backup recovery image. Toshiba recovery image has certainly more than 6 GB I think.

On Win7 machines you can start the image recovery installation using F8 at startup. When you do this, you will have the menu boot advanced options and select the option to fix my computer. Detailed information on the recovery image installation you will find in the user manuals document s or on follow Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Please note: disk image installation HARD recovery works if your phone has only factory.
If you have changed something that he probably does not work. Under change something, I mean own installation operating system or changes in structure of HARD disk partitions.
