  The red and blue puts in light that you see are the clipping, you can turn it off by pressing the 'J '.

• the images show black with red and blue sections on importation

  Newly installed 5 Lightroom on new computer (HP ZBook with 4 k screen).  When the files are imported from SD card on the display main and previews images are mostly black with some red and blue areas.  I tried disabling autotone and indicators of clipping and tried disabling GPU and the changing screen resolution - nothing helped.  I can see histogram and use the sliders to change the picture a bit, but can "lead to normal. The same images of this SD card are fine in Lightroom on my old computer.

  What can I do to fix this?

  This looks like a bad monitor profile. You must re - calibrate your monitor. If you do not have a calibrator, go to the properties of your monitor (it looks like the right of windows) and remove any profile associated with the parser. That do Windows will take your monitor is sRGB. This should solve the immediate problem, but it is always recommended that you calibrate your monitor with hardware calibration.

  I don't know how in the world it happened. other than the instant my cat went through my keyboard that everything went to hell in a hand basket. I can't edit the photos because I can't see beyond the bright red and blues. They have normal air in the catalog.

  Click on the triangles of the histogram, the turn on and off the red and blue of break that you see.

  Hello everyone, Reacently I upgraded from 1.x to 2.6 and now my previews show a kind of red and blue lines around highlights, which bothers me not at all, the big problem is that these lines appears in the prints from lightroom. And that's not all these line also appears in the exported to photoshop.

  My files raw directly addressed (in PhotoshopCS3) shows no problem.

  You use a PowerPC (e.g., G5 Mac) machine?

  Your thread title says "2.5", but your original post mentions the upgrade to "2.6"... I bet that you are using 2.5. Is this fair?

  If the answer to both is Yes, then Yes, it's a known issue for specific camera models. It is fixed by upgrading to 2.6.

  Have a Toshiba laptop and opened a network with inside canon cr2 files directory.

  In bridge, the pictures don't show no "arrow circle" indicating that no change has been made.

  If I open the images in ACR on the four images I checked it has areas of red and blue and blue points.

  If I find the images on my desktop then I don't see any of the colored areas.

  Hard to describe, but the Red areas are really vibrant.

  Any ideas anyone?

  You did outstanding and clipping shadows turned on? Bright red areas (cutting of the red channel) and blue (blue layer, prolly in shadow) would be displayed on the image, wherever it is clipping. Click on the flags on the histogram to turn them off.

  The new look has blue in the unused fields. They change to white when clicked on and informed. Unless find you a theme that changes this so as said Christ1, you'll have to get used to.

• ES1 - 512 hibernate if it is open, but not with the lid closed. LED will blink red and blue?

  I want a laptop, when closed, to go to sleep, then transition to Hibernate.

  When open, transition work. Race walk, sleep, Hibernate.

  When closed, transition fails. Running, sleep (slow orange blinking), and then rapid blue/red flashing LED.
  During flicker battery consumption is large and the battery goes dead quickly.

  I have tried many power configuration settings.

  Cover-> nothing or sleep - same results.

  Cover-> hibernate - works, but is NOT what I want.

  Button to Hibernate, but not what I want.

  I want to do what it should - sleep and hibernation...

  OK, I found a workaround solution - with a caveat.

  The xHCI driver is apparently in conflict with something that causes chaos when the laptop tries to transition from sleep to Hibernate with the lid closed.

  This is definitely a bug that should be fixed! Acer needs to work with Microsoft to find the problem and fix it.

  If you go into the BIOS settings (reboot and press F2) and disable xHCI.

  The USB ports will return to PCI mode. All USB ports are working, even if I think they are USB 2.0, not 3.0

  Now the power level can be set to sleep when the lid is closed and it will cause a transition to Hibernate when appropriate!

• Centro, when Im on the internet, no pictures will only show a small red and blue image

My son was playing with it (yes I know error #1) and when I had got it back I went to log on espn.com, and none of the pictures show only a small image with what looks like a sun bed on the blue waters with a red sky. I went to other sites (cnn, flickr and so on) but no pitures will appear. What could be the problem?

  Check your settings in Blazer.  Looks like you've changed 'Fast fashion' for the screens.

  Tap on the icon representing a lightning bolt at the top of the Blazer and see if it is set on fast Mode.  Change it to 'Normal '.

  Photos should load now.

• All of a sudden seeing red and blue of overexposure and underexposure clipping overlays

  HM. Don't know what I did.

  When I press on J while in the develop module in LR CC, small white boxes around triangles on the histogram always turn on, but I do not see the usual red/blue overlays showing where the photo is longer / underexposed. Using OSX.

  The histogram shows clearly that I'm highlight clipping, so the answer is not that I have no problem cutting and so no overlay.

  I just got working with the histogram in Lightroom.
  I understand the basic principles and how to apply the settings to eliminate the white triangle and get it to gray when the triangle lights up.

  I notice that the Triangle will both light up in different colors such as:
  Yellow, white, red.
  What do the colours mean?
  Finally, I get to have the gray triangle Tower.
  However: I do the right setting to get to the gray color where one white color other then lights?

  In other words:
  If I change the whites/highlights is that the correct change or should it be exhibition based on a color then other white indicating in the triangle.

  I hope I explained my question properly, ask any follow-up questions if I failed to make the case for the question.

  Triangles indicate that one or more channel was cut in the shade (left) or (right) highlights.

  When a channel has been cut, there is no color of this channel - i.e. the value is 0 or 255.

  Edit: Lightroom uses % instead of levels for color values, so are the number 0 or 100%

  red = red channel cut

  Green = green channel cut

  Blue = Blue channel cut

  cyan = green, and blue channels cut

  Magenta = red and blue channels cut

  yellow = the red and green channels cuts

  Gray = all clipped channels

  dark gray only = no Cup channel

  Unless you are working with images for scientific use, I had put the dark and light tones for the most part looking at the picture itself, rather than using the histogram. The histogram tells you a lot about the image in the blink of an eye, but there is no such thing as a histogram "perfect."

  What I usually do is hold the ALT key while dragging the cursor highlights and blacks, which show the cutting in the image itself. I'd rather not have reflections clipped (except for specular highlights) and usually have a little black clipping som real black in the picture.

  How the shadows and highlights of an image depend a lot on the nature of the image and your personal preferences.

  Some images look better without blacks or whites, like the one below.

• LR 5.7 upgrade still shows the old PMQS 4 tools to develop the basic tools of the mode cursors!

  I just upgraded a from2011 catalog, probably made in LR4 - to my LR5.7 current (not bought yet LR6) I'm on a yosemite running on the end 2013 10.10.3 iMac - and met a straange glitch during the upgrade of the catalog. It still shows the exposure, recovery, climax and black sliders in the mode of development-while things like the radial filter and vertical position and the normal of other tools are there, WTF!  How can I fix it? It has worked perfectly up to date of other catalogs - what is it this time?  ANYONE?

  You need to update the Version of process of the pictures in question.

• The bar color on most, but not all, https sites is blue and not green. This means that they are not secure after all?

  Until recently the small color bar next to the address in each open tab was green for https sites and clear for open sites. The color for most sites https including my Bank is now blue. Some are still green, but most is in blue. Does this mean that sites are be pirated? Not sure? or something else?
