The registration of VCenter VDP test failure

Hello

We have deployed a 0.5 to POS device, but as you go through the initial setup we get the following error:

Specified user is not a dedicated VDP user or doesn't have sufficient privileges to vCenter to manage POS.  Please update your user role, and then try again.
NOTE: The user should not inherit roles from a group.
We have created a new domain user and given the user from the role of the administrator on the Vcenter server and uses these credentials for recording but the trial has not yet.
Anyone any idea?
Thanks in advance

Just a double check... Make sure that you give permission to the root level and propagate to child objects

    Hello

For me, it looks like a malfunction of the HARD drive and so the BIOS can not find a bootable device and goes to the last possible bootable option which is LAN.

The exclamation mark in front of the HARD drive indicates that there is a problem with the HARD drive so I think you need to replace the HARD drive and you need to reinstall the system.

PS: What laptop do you have exactly?

  • PXE - E61: media test failure on 3500 Portgege but can't get into the BIOS

I canoe get into my BIOS menu.
I tried all the keys (ESC, F1, F2, delete, etc), but then I get the message: "PXE - E61: media test failure, check cable for.
"PXE - M0F: PXE ROM of output. I tried everything, but I can not even access the BIOS menu.

Turn on the laptop and hold ESC, then press F1 when prompted. By pressing F12 at startup should give you a start menu. (It's in the user manual)

The PXE error means its trying to boot from the network, because it can not find an OS on the HARD drive.

Test the HARD drive by using a HARD drive test. The Advanced test in Hitachi DFT is good. (google is your friend)

    Hello

PXE - E61:Media test failed is displayed because the laptop is trying to boot from LAN.
This can happen because the LAN option has been fixed in the first start position in the BIOS or because the phone didn t find any other sources bootable.

In many cases, this can happen because the HARD drive was not recognized.
Check if the HARD drive is visible in the BIOS must include details of the HARD drive in the BIOS
If this isn't the case, then the HARD drive is unavailable due to hardware problem.

It would also be possible that your CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc, and so the laptop can not boot from the disc.

All these questions can be releated to hardware failure... ODD or HDD, or both...

  • Portege M205-S809-PXE-E61 Media Test failure PXE - M0F error

I replaced (what I thought was) a HD on my Portege M205-S809 failure (I was getting the error "PXE - E61 Media Test failure PXE - M0F").
I put in the HD and turned on the laptop to get the same error.

My intention was to reistall the BONES of the recovery Toshiba and DVD Applications/drivers, but I can't. I just keep the error each time that I reboot.

I checked the BIOS and made sure he does not try to boot from the network (and reset the defaults, just in case). I tried a configured to boot from the CD first, but that didn't work. I rechecked the HD and it seems to be plugged in fine.

    Help! Thank you.

    Hello

The HARD drive has been properly recognized in the BIOS?
You see a few details of the HARD drive in the BIOS?

  • Portege R100, PXE - boot problem - E61:Media Test failure, check cable

My portege r100 4004GAH original hard drive has had some problems recently, so I decided to replace it with a bigger 4006GAH. Specifications, it seemed that it would be appropriate.

So I tried to install standard windows top. Unfortunately as I soon discovered that didn't work and lead to BSOD. I looked online and remembered that I had in fact to use the recovery of three discs. Fortunately for me I still had the freshly sealed and I've also owned a combined remarkable Targus CD drive supported. If in the three discs are gone. All seemed well and after that the last drive ended, I was asked to remove the disc. The laptop has rebooted and then gave me the

PXE - E61:Media Test failure, check cable
PXE - M0F: Exit Intel PXE ROM
    Insert system disk
    Press a key to continue...

I thought it might be in the order of start, but verified that and it seemed right. HD was first. I also changed the order and the same error came.
I thought while another component of my laptop may be broken. So I put my old hard drive in. It started fine.
The next thought that the new hard drive was defective.

Fortunately, this is not the case. Because when I used the recovery disks not only heard disk hard turns to the top, but the hard drives were detected and recovery installation displays the correct memory size.

I'm completely stumped on hat w what is the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not easy to say what the problem is but you said the Portege started fine with the old HDD. So I think that there is something wrong with the new.

In your case I test the HARD drive with a special tool like Drive Fitness Test. Download the CD image, burn it to a CD and boot from it. Then you can test the HARD drive.
On the same site is a user's guide if you want to know more.
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT

In addition I am interested in what you have the same problem with a Microsoft installation disc if you have one.
So try if your HARD disk has no errors.

  • Satellite A30 PSA30E cannot start properly - PXE - E61: Media Test Failure

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I decided to use the recovery cd to format my laptop and do a clean install, because it became very slow.
It takes an age to start etc.

I followed the instructions on the leaflet that was packaged with the CD and everything seems to work very well.
The files seem to be loading but after abuot 7-8 minutes (about 15% in the process) is an error page came with the following.

    "For Realtek RTL8139 (X) /8138/ 810 X PCI.
PXE - E61: Media Test Failure, check cable
"PXE - MOF: PXE Rom of output.

I noticed that the power supply has been very hot and the bottom of the computer was also very hot so perhaps thought that the power supply is maybe defective. I had an another same PSU so tried again with this.

    Same problem again!
Do you think that the hard drive is faulty? I haven't noticed any problems before, except for the slow response generally.

I would be grateful for any useful comment.

    Hello

This message usually if the laptop cannot find a bootable device and finally tires to boot from LAN.
But if the boot to LAN is not possible then the message PXE - E61: Media Test Failure, check cable would appear on the screen.

Generally, this will happen if the HARD drive is not accessible (dead or defective) or the laptop cannot boot from the disc.

I think that you should first check if it would be possible to solve this problem by using a new HARD drive.

    Goodbye & good luck

  • PXE - e61:media test failure check cable _ _

It sounds as if your boot process is not configured properly, as the PxE boot is usually the last thing tried if no other bootable device is configured, or set to start before the network option.  Recheck the boot parameters.

  • HP DV7-3063cl laptop PC: BIOS cannot locate the serial number of the new motherboard more PXE - E61: Media test failure, check

I have recently restored a HP DV7 3063 cl laptop that died a hot mother (MB). I replaced the MB with a new Board of Directors of HP when the price has been reduced to $100, updated the CPU with an announced as new AMD 640 M and applied Arctic Silver on CPU and graphics chips. I put in 4 G memory cool, got the computer to work and installed Windows 10.

    However, I have several problems:

    1. The BIOS cannot locate the serial number of the motherboard during the boot process and sends a message to the effect. I hit the ENTER button start continues.

I tried to access the BIOS to enter the serial number or other possible solutions, I found online. Help forum a HP had a BIOS software tool for editing of Compaq in 2000 but said it would only be on the desktop and HP staff will provide a BIOS for my laptop.

    2. I get two error messages that

      • PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

      • PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM

I didn't know all the patches for this issue, but it only delays the process of starting shortly before it continues.

Finally, the computer starts Windows, but other problems.

    mhscholder,

There isn't any publicly available method to update information in the BIOS.  HP only authorized service providers can update the MB after installation.  You will get this message during boot every time.  You also won't be able to run a recovery since the recovery media is looking for this information.

The PXE errors generally occur during the initialization of the network is listed in the boot order before the hard drive.

    Hello

I am able to create the package (.zip file) plugin, using Eclipse plugin virgo and able to deploy and test the same thing with the serenity customer as described in the SDK tutorial.

To register for my plugin package as an extension with vcneter server, I followed steps below:

1 using the perl of the vi perl SDK code, and I am able to register the plugin and can see the crowd as well.

But I am unable to see the plugin in vcenter server. As newspapers are not get generated for web client. (Maintenance records is not created. All the required services are running).

Please suggest any script I can use to deploy the plugin for the production phase. And also the steps to generate logs.

    Thank you very much.

I have attached a java program showing how to register a vSphere Client Web plugin with vCenter server. This program is not recommended for use in production because it does not check the certificates.

Also this program will work if your plugin zip archive is located at the url "http://". If your zip file is at url 'https://', then you must provide the digital fingerprint of the server in the server property of the

Extension data object. You can do the same way that the property of the customer was populated in the provided code. Here is the link to the Extension object where you can find all of the properties of an object to extend VMware vSphere 5.1

  • The memory test: FAILURE (tune-up system) for a Pavilion dv7-4031TX

    Hello

If someone knows how to fix the memory issue?

I get an error message when I run a memory test by using the program of development of the hp system. I can't be too sure how long I've had this problem because it is the first time that I tested the factory equipt 8 GB memory.

That said, I have recently updated my Bios F.29 in an effort to tuneup the hp and hopefully reduce the boot by a little time. The installation went well but I now wonder if there could be some sort of conflict between memory and Bios firmware? Any thoughts?

    Concerning
    Peter

    Hi Peter,.

    Try the following.

Stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.

Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Then remove and reposition your memory - the procedure is detailed on Page 72 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Once completed, replace covers, etc..., reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

    Run the memory diagnostic again.

    Kind regards

    DP - K
