  Here is an example of adding a date for a file name:

  > exp med/med file=c:\expdat.%date:~10,4%%date:~7,2%%date:~4,2%.dmp

  To add as a data and once, you just need something based on time that is unique, so try something like:

  When I export photos from Lightroom to photo site appears all the EXIF metadata, but not my lenses. Lightroom recognize my goal, but when I export image with the option "All metadata" the objective data is not exported. Why?   There must be something else, perhaps with the importer of photo website? When I export with the option to include all the metadata info from the lens is also included. It is usually written by the camera in EXIF fields data. Sounds like your camera is written this info since Lightroom can see it.

  

  If you have another application of image processing (you camera manufacturer, Preview, etc) see if a file exported from that behaves the same way when you import into your photo site.

• Format QuickTime exports with the wrong project settings.

  Hey there.

  I have a problem when exporting mov. files. Basically what is happening, it's that my project settings (exposure, color balance, shadow / highlights) are not the same after exporting they are in a project. They seem to have some changes applied, but they are significantly reduced. I checked the export with different format and it works fine.

  My settings are:

  -QuickTime format

  video codec - Motion JPEG A

  quality - 100

  Cadence - 25 fps

  Firstly, the field Type - low

  I need to keep this format and codec, unfortunately, so here is what I can do to apply the settings of my project?

  Any help will be greatly appreciated, because I spent my whole day trying to find an answer.

• If my calendar is rendered entirely, I can just export it, or should it be re-encoded?

  If my export setting is exactly the same as my timeline setting, why can't I just export that what without having to convert all over again in a new file? I have a 30 second clip that takes 15 minutes to export with various effects that are included in this one. Even if I choose 'Source Match' it takes forever. Why can't not Prime Minister just take clips melted and spit their end to the other without apparently recomposite each image? I'm doing something wrong? What would my rendering timeline overview parameters at least expedite this process?

  I always use a custom sequence, with Cineform as the preview format.  They are good enough to use for export without worrying about the generational loss, and they are pretty quick return in the order as well.

• Exports with Embeded TC not work - v7.1

  Did I miss a settting?

  Recent update for SOUL v7.1 and either get embeded TC with QT export agency through SOUL (queue). ProRes 422 proxy... Respect the following parameters. Worked before upgrade.

  I can get embedded TC thru direct export off body v7.1... then something has changed? Or maybe a preference of the SOUL? I had to trash the preferences today... but since last week, exports had not boarded TC either.

  Any ideas?

  There is a known issue, that we are studying. However, you can perform one of the following in the meantime:

  1 after you import the file in to SOUL: open the export settings dialog box, close it, and then export your sequence. The resulting file will be correct timecode.

  2. go in preferences > General and turn off "enable native first import Pro sequence.»

• QuickTime export options are missing (only in the SOUL)

  I already searched for a while and found another thread in this forum, as well some information in the official documentation, saying that the SOUL only installs some options, export if it is not installed in the correct package of applications (such as first or sequelae).

  Well, I did install as part of the Master Collection and also have the first and AFX running.

  The initial installation was a horrible procedure because there was that even a few photoshop cs6 beta persistent file around and just would not leave, even with the CS cleanup tool.

  When I finally managed to install CS6, everything worked fine, except one major flaw... When I export a file of first a QuickTime, everyhting works as it should. But when I hit 'send to SOUL', the right preset quicktime does not have its way over the Media Encoder, but I have only h264 and 4 other formats of your choice. Just not QT available. (I'm on a mac).

  I already tried to install the whole package during the original installation, but it did not help. I also have CS6 installed on my macbook, where everything works perfectly fine. I compared the record of media on both machines encoder, and it is identical in size. In the library, I wasn't able to find any media encoding related files.

  Please, does anyone have an idea how to mount export QT in the soul up and running again without going through a thorough cleaning of my system and reinstall the whole? I am in the middle of a project now and would really like to have it work.

  (it worked before in cs5, btw)

  I had the same problem and I've basically stumbled upon this fix. Search for the file named AddExporterList.txt located in

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media encode CS6\txt

  Save one original copy somewhere else. Copy/paste or delete as needed to make the new file looks like this:

  # MediaCore Plugins

  # SOUL Plugins

  AudioWriter

  WinMediaWriter

  # SOUL Plugin Formats

  MPEG4

  H.264 Blu - ray

  Press on save and reboot the SOUL. Voila! It worked for me and I hope it will work for you.

• Rendering when editing vs when exporting file mpg?

  If I made my project while editing (before exporting it), not is it reduces the time of rendering that occurs when I export my final movie to mpg file?

  To me, it seems that the steps two rendering are not related.  For simple projects - without special effects - so it seems that it would be quicker to does NOT make the timeline during editing, but simply export the move.  Is this good? Or am I missing the point?

  Well, Yes and no.

  It will make a difference to a point, because the program has to digest and assimilate what you put into it as a DV - AVI, before he can produce anything. (Even if you're setting MPEGs and earned MPEGs outside, it was still a DV - AVI while it is in the program.) Thus, by making manually, you can speed up this process significantly.

  But the program is necessary to encode the MPEG you are out once done rendering of DV - AVI.

  I want to build a major project of smaller subprojects (because at the time where there is 30-45 minutes of content, editing becomes desperately slow experience).  I want to do all the stuff complicated small subprojects, and then only the end face in setting up the project.

  For example, the major project might be my vacation, and subprojects perhaps hiking, the beach, the BBQ.  Each sub-project will eventually have a main Menu marker in the final draft.  But each sub-project can have markers of the scene that it contains.

  What I want to do is the following:

  Create a new subproject (hiking)

  Put in relevant DV - AVI clips for hiking (HikeA, HikeB, HikeC)

  Add titles, transitions and scene markers

  Export the subproject to DV - AVI

  Repeat the procedure for the beach and Barbecue.

  Then, create the large-scale project, bring in the DV - AVI subproject (hiking, etc.), add main menu markers ONLY and then share the DVD project.

  The problem is that when the DV - AVI subproject is formed, the scene markers have disappeared.  Under Build Options for the type of export Microsoft DV - AVI file, there are check boxes for 'Fields to export', whose "Chapters" is one (if the chapters are the same as the scenes?), and there is also an option to export the empty markers.  Thus, it seems that what I want to do is maybe possible.

  'Modify the Original' installation does not quite what I want.  I don't want to put all the markers from the scene in when I'm in the great project.

  Is it possible to work with subprojects like that?  Should I be exporting to another format for subprojects?  Or am I stuck with having to set the scene markers in the big final project?

  The way you do it is correct. Scene markers cannot be exported with the clip.

• Rendering 3D AE projects in the SOUL

  I'm currently finding stuff on After Effects, like 3D motion tracking.

  Now, I want to make the video but as soon as I go to the SOUL (Adobe Media Encoder) 3D text turns the back of 2D text.

  So now I have to try it to render after effects itself but who is literally taking me now a full day (30 second video).

  I've seen this problem on several forums now and none of them have been solved. I hope to get an answer soon!

  We need the details of your workflow. I assume you mean tracking camera that AE has no such thing as 3D motion tracking. I suppose that you have added a camera and a text layer to a scene. There should be no harm in this workflow if you preview your project by selecting the view camera activates in the Composition Panel and that you use the TEA to render using a standard preset that corresponds to the size of the image and the cadence of your comp.

  If you use traced to the RADIUS that you may have other issues. There is a bug when using text rendering and extruded raytraced in the latest version of CC 2015. Workaround for render raytraced projects is to use the Cue to restore and configure the output to the default Lossless format module, and then add the rendered file to the SOUL for the rendering of a delivery format suitable as h.254 by using one of the standard presets that corresponds to the size and the pace of your comp.

• Feature Request: Please allow us to merge audio with sequence of images in the SOUL.

  So far the only programs that allow this (that I'm aware of anyway) are the old version of QuickTime Pro and Apple Compressor. I just want to add a sequence of images to the SOUL and combine an audio track to this sequence of images for export. This would save me one step further. 80% of my work starts and ends in After Effects. I do video editing very little, so most of my export is made of EI and then exported Quicktime or compressor all apply for my clients (most often ProRes for a major version and h264 or x 264 Quicktime files for the web).

  It is possible, we could see this feature added anytime soon? Thank you!

  Hi Ashish,

  SOUL is called from the workflow - you need to open the workflow or pl/sql calls using wf_engine or by outbreak of corporate event (I dunno how to initiate this workflow).
