Have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 NLB service two nodes on VMWare. Bothe nodes have two network cards. Internal one dedicated to NETWORK load balancing and the other for the network.

Management console of NLB on a single poster NLB node is in good health. The two nodes are visible and OK.

Management of NLB on the other node shows only its own node - while the other node is missing. An error when updating...

I disabled the back loop check - it makes no difference.

    Any help please?

I think I solved the problem...

As I wrote previously, I disabled the back loop check in the registry on both nodes, create a new DWORD (32 bit) key...
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\DisableLoopbackCheck - with a value of 1

Then, I made sure that the link speed & Duplex on all network interfaces are set to a specific value (no Autonegotiation), for example. 1000 Mbps Full Duplex (in my case).
Ideally only the NIC - on each node - connected to the NETWORK load balancing must be configured with hard values.

This solved the RPC error in my environment of NLB.

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. what operating system is installed on the computer?

The RPC server or remote procedure call is a service on your computer that allows other computers to access remotely.

Method 1: You can check the event viewer for detailed information on the problem. Consult the following links.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

Method 2: The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Services service must be started and startup type must be set to automatic.

    (a) click Start, type services in the start search box and press enter.

    (b) in the Services window, find a remote procedure call and do a right click on it to select Properties.

    (c) under the general tab, make sure the Startup type is Automatic and the Service status indicates Started.

Method 3: If the methods above help not, perform a restore of the system in safe mode.  You can restore the computer to a date when the computer was working properly.

    a. click Start, type System Restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    b. in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore pointand then click Next.

    c. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    d. click Finish.

  • Error "the RPC server is unavailable."

I have a Windows XP Home SP3 PC who, since yesterday has been report error "the RPC server is unavailable" in attempting to perform specific tasks such as remove programs via the control panel and of the files of backup using Acronis 10. 'Paste' files which have been 'copying' ed by right click of the mouse or drag-and - drop, and finally, Internet Explorer 8 does not load authorize also Windows Explorer is no longer. I suspect that all these problems, which began at the same time, are connected!

I did a virus check full system using AVG 8.5 and booted in safe mode "...". from last known working configuration"but nothing works.

    Any thoughts?

I'll make sure that your Remote Procedure Call (RPC) server is running.  Right-click on my computer-> Manage and go to the services section.  You start and stop the services from here.  You can also right-click and select Properties... and see the service dependencies.

I would like to check the status of the Services.

Click on the Start button and select Control Panel, administrative tools, Services. Locate the RPC end point Mapper in the list and make sure that the startup type is automatic. If it is not set to automatic, right-click and select Properties, general tab. There is a box after the startup type. The options are available in a menu drop-down by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the box. Make the change and click apply and then click OK. Restart the computer and verify if it has started.

    Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

  • XNET - activation of the RPC Server - error

    Hello

I am trying to load XNet database on my RT goal and now I get the error using the Xnet API. Running multiple remote database manager XNet vi doesn't help not either as it is still stuck with the error and no waiting period.

I can connect to my goal of RT so this isn't a firewall problem and I can even speak using the NI-Xnet database default value, it's just that when I try to load my database on the remote control it gives me these errors

I tried to go to MAX > tools > NI CAN > RT Configuration and I got this error as shown in Capture.PNG.

I use cRIO 9067 and Xnet, I use NI9860 on my 8th slot.

Has anyone encountered this problem, enable RPC server, how can I do? and is it possible to directly pass the file of database on the target of RT.

    Thank you

Well, I have done what I wanted, except for the problem to be solved "RPC error not found" issue.

I don't know, but in my case database deployment worked when I changed the password authentication, initially I had a configuration password for my RT goal, but when I removed the password empty, all the screws, Manager NI-XNET database example started working.

I know, there was a suggestion in some links to enter ' [usernameassword]@IP address] "but it did not work for me, even in the database manager Xnet is mentioned anywhere that the IP address must be entered in this format, what they ask is the IP address in my case it did not work with IP address.

In addition, one thing to note here is that, by default when you receive product OR there is no password protection, usually the password is empty, then most of the user would have never encountered this problem.

So I would say the resolution as "Remove password of target RT.

    Thank you
