  I want to start a .exe file, written with LV 2013 SP1 on a windows 7 64-bit PC.  I downloaded and installed the Labview 2013 SP1 runtime.  When I try to run the .exe, a message box appears indicating that I need to install runtime Labview 2013!

  I tried to "Reinstall" to verify that it has been installed and I was unable to install the software becaue what is already installed.  I don't know where to go from here...  Help please!

  Are you sure THAT you have installed the 64-bit version of LabVIEW and created the .exe from that?  I ask because the vast majority of people use LabVIEW 32-bit even on Windows 64-bit OS.

  My theory is that you have 32-bit LabVIEW.  You have created an .exe with which would be also 32-bit.  Then download the 64-bit version of engine performance by mistake because you have the 64 bit version of Windows.  In this case your .exe 32 bits will complain of not installing a run-time engine.

• Why my LabVIEW 2010 program asked for the runtime LabVIEW 8.5.1 whenever it is launched after installation?

  It is a simple timer program that displays the elapsed time (see photos). I can't think of one thing that should be the cause... It started happening right after that I selected items of the scale with façade resizes and recompiled and re-installed the app. This was not the case before that when it is installed without the resize selection, but then I removed the selection and it still happens.   Details of the full patch for f5 patch are available in this knowledge base article. As a general statement, we encourage everyone to install the patches as soon as they are available through the Update Service, especially if they are marked as Urgent (it is not marked urgent). In this particular case, it is unlikely that you'll turn to all the problems solved by the f5 2012 SP1 hotfix since you use LabVIEW 2013.

  The reason why you see the update in the update service is LabVIEW 2013 installs several versions of the runtime LabVIEW, so Update Service sees that you have on 2012 Run-Time Engine installed and invites you to patch.

  CF 10 docs seem a little thin on the configuration object and silent installation / silent / scripted.

  I need to find a fully automated (scripted) way to do these things:

  (1) installation of ColdFusion server in stand-alone mode 10

  (2) create instances of additional servers

  (3) configure separately each server instance (parameters, data sources, mappings, etc.)

  It is currently possible with CF 10? If Yes, where is the documentation?

  I aim a cookbook from Chef to perform installations without assistance of CF10 on a farm of Linux guests without a head. Manual configuration through the user administrator interface is a deal breaker defined here.

  I'm having a problem of construction of an installer in 2011SP1 of LabVIEW.

  It has been a while since I tried to build an installer but it used to work properly and building executables still works fine.

  Now when I try to compile the installer, I get "generation failed."

  The really strange thing is that I'm using LabVIEW 2011SP1, I don't even have installed LabVIEW 2013, not even the runtime.

  Where is the problem? Why is he still complain about LabVIEW 2013? Anyone seen this before?

  This behavior makes me assume that you updated certain components from the past. There are drivers of OR who use LV components (e.g., AFAIK the DAQmx of Test panels).

  Update you things? If Yes, why don't you LV 2013 RTE installed as it would be necessary for full functionality of the driver?

• Strange behavior of the run LabVIEW VI 2013 LabVIEW 7.1

  I'm trying to extract some data hardcoded from old code LabVIEW 7.1 and decided to write a small program in 2013 of LabVIEW. The program opens a reference to a VI 7.1, search enums and call it with reference to all combinations of enums.

  Actually quite simple, but I've noticed that something is without work, as expected. The old screws have this enum called mode (0 = Manual, 1 = Auto), who is not connected to any connector and has a value default 1 = Auto.

  In LabVIEW 7.1, everything works as expected, but when I load this 2013 LabVIEW VI and execute it, without saving the file, it executes the case of 'Manual' rather than 'Auto '. I used a probe to check the value of mode in LabVIEW 2013 and the value is 1 = Auto, but he spends with the value 0 = manual box.

  This is just a simplified version of the screw, but the behavior is absolutely the same. The VI (LabVIEW 7.1) is attached. Try to load in 2013 of LabVIEW and run it. I don't have 2014 on my PC.

  If you have a process already for execution programmatically these VI, what happens if you add to that and make something like a Vale put on the controls programmatically prior to execution of the VI.

  Is there an ADF 12 c Runtime (JRF) installation in silent mode?  ADF 11 g had a runInstaller command but download of 12 c, I found is a java-jar type install?

  This should be possible:

  For more information about silent or command-line installation, see "using the Oracle Universal Installer in silent Mode" in installing the software with the Oracle Universal Installer.

  It seems that the installer uses the YES program which allows installation in silent mode. (this passage is copied from to install the Infrastructure Oracle Fusion Middleware - 12 c (12.1.2) software)

  It is really a last resort for me to post here. I looked everywhere else I can.

  Can someone tell me please how to install the latest version of the assistance of hotkey HP softpaq silently and without a restart?

  • The laptop I have is a Probook 6570 b
  • The OS is Windows 7 Pro x 86
  • The softpaq is: SP59202 (version 4.6.10.1)

  Previous versions of this permit for a silent installation, no reboot, but the last is different.

  I can get it to install by extracting the Setup.exe from the SP59202 executable and it works with the switches: s/v/qn/s but it still restarts the computer at the end.

  It MUST be possible. Help, please.

  Perhaps too late, but here's what works for me. Run the 'setup.exe' on any machine to decompress. No need to complete the installation, simply start it. Once you start manual installation it will unpack everything into something like C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\{2A7766D0...}. Download the entire folder in MDT. Also, I tried all sorts of variations/q /quiet/ - s, etc., but it never worked for me. Once I tried:

  msiexec /i "HP Hotkey Support.msi" /qn /norestart

  Andi that it worked. The package I've used is sp59346. Could also help you! ;-)

  I get the error message, Labview falls just crashes. I use Labview x 32 and connective Toolkit of connectivity of database on Windows 7 x 64. I connect to PostgreSQL with ODBC driver, the connection is stable.
  In my database, I have a lot of tables, I read all those without one.
  When I try to read table bad I get data then labview crash. When I restart Labview, I have no message on the error.
  Also I try to use LabSQL-1. 1a. But it has the same result.

  I found the solution.

  I think the problem was that I have very large table in my database.

  At the beginning I received data from table with next quiry:

  SELECT column1, column2 FROM 'table ';

  But when I write then:

  SELECT column1, (column2, ',') array_to_string FROM 'table ';

  all worked!

  I installed the driver NOR-DAQmx and Labview 2013 (Student Edition). I connected an acquisition of data NI USB-6008 and tested using NOR-DAQmx and that it works correctly.

  Now, I tried to make registration of data of this device using the software Labview installed but as I open a new project and go to the block diagram and show the measure menu I can't NEITHER-DAQmx icon in the window (Menu) measurement in Labview 2013 (student Edition).

  In what order did you install software?

  You must install LabVIEW first, followed by DeviceDrivers!

  Certainly the passage from 8.2 to 2013 was too aggressive.

  The solution came from re - create a build process from scratch in respect of the same project.

  No more errors after that.

  Learned Lessosn: do not try to generate a dll directly after the update of your project from an earlier version of Labview.

  Without the development environment, you cannot change screws LabVIEW.  The runtime engine is responsible for actually running the code in order to integrate LabVIEW executables and run them on other machines without the development environment.

  I read a lot of post by saying if the target machine has the same runtime engine installed, I need not distribute the application with the labview runtime engine. Somehow this rules does not work for me. I have a labview development system installed PC 2010 and has the 2011 SP1 runtime. I also download the same version of the engine running and installed on a target computer. When I distribute my labview application, if I choose to include the runtime to build properties, the application will be able to install and run properly in the machine target. If I don't get the runtime, so I would not be able to run the application.
