  Images II 7 d would be directly supported in Photoshop CS5 as requiring a new camera raw.

  So, you must download the free DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then open the DNG converted in Photoshop.

  I work with Photoshop CS5 on a MacBook Pro with 4 MB of RAM in Mac OS 10.5.8. I upgraded from CS3, a month ago. I tried the RGB to 8-16 and 32 bit switching modes, but every time I have "save to the Web and devices ' my Photoshop crashes. It does not crash in the display window. It crashes when I choose to save. Can I get the spinning beachball and a slow fall. There is no error message, and it happens every time. I tried to delete the preferences. I found somehow there was some left behind CS3 prefs. But deleting prefs has not changed the situation. I have a lot of RAM, so I don't think that it is a memory problem.   Hi, I wanted to understand what is happening to my values of ink when I convert to a different profile. I set up CS for Europe prepress and working on an INDD file. All related PS images have the same profile.

  The printer sent their profile and asked to convert all the images and the doc INDD. But when I do, looking at the images of PS with color sampling, it changed the values of ink. (For example, which was 100 k in a picture now shows ink in all 4 channels.) It is a problem for me.

  In the past I would just convert to profile to export > stage of pdf which seems to work ok. What should I do? Is there a difference in the printer if I convert to pdf stage, rather than convert all the images of PS and the INDD doc?

  Converting to a profile Exchange actually ink values?

  In your case, change the profile of the application, will change the values of the ink, but it is difficult to tell how many without comparing the two files.  If you can, try to change the profile on a copy of one of your files.  Then, print proof of contract of the file (if you can).  You can also consult the percentages with the help of a kind of third-party application, Acrobat or Photoshop.

  I think that if you keep your profile until you create the PDF file (where you will ultimately use their profile in the creation of PDF), then maintain you control over your initial destination of color.  A seller of printing has created a profile based on their press, a certain type of paper and implemented (or should have) appropriate for this particular press and paper ink densities.  Using their profile in the creation of PDF files, give them what they want for their RIP.  It's the kind of a way for the supplier to predict the amounts of ink they will get.

  Now, if you give the same PDF to another provider of printing, it may be a 'change', how big or how small is determined by the new provider profile.  So, you don't want to put the same PDF to another printer.  You would be better to get the new print provider profile and use it in the new PDF creation for this printer.

  Yes, he average woukld changing all the files in a new destination profile.  There is an advantage if you rely on future jobs to everybody as a simple pressure on the use as a type of paper.  This is often referred to as closed loop to a workflow.  In a closed-loop workflow, you can optimize the density of ink to a press / paper and get consistent results.  When you are potentially going to send the PDF file of several different suppliers, it is referred to as a workflow of open loop.  In an open-loop workflow (yours), you use profiles standard in forecasting for where printing will be.  In the case of your seller who provides you with their printer profile, you simply create another PDF using their profile while retaining all the original application profiles.

  Another thing I don't get - check separations in Acrobat all my text on the black plate only. But when I check the rich black option, it shows the same as dark black text. How can this be?

  I don't know what is happening there.  Since your black (should be) excessive printing, they can be considered as rich blacks even if they are not.  Maybe if blacks were boring, then they would be precise blacks.  That said, the separations to tell the whole story.  If they appear black precise in the seps, then they should RIP like this.  Another reason to be in contact with the print provider and make sure that you get what you want on the press.

I find that my video don't line up when I import it within the parameters of HDV. I'm trying to align, but the audio shows that it is a few milliseconds each side.

  Now, I realized that the two videos have slightly different frame rates. MP4 is 30.01 and MOV is 29.97 could that cause synchronization problems? Any way to change this?

  Convert the 30.01 to constant framerate with HandBrake

  Use including a hdv preset, in my opinion, as a xdcam ex preset is a better choice. Long ago, I'm using cs5.
