DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL

Or use
happy expdp = metadata_only
Use impdp SQLFILE = file.sql - which will give you the DOF.

  • The schemas are required to export an APEX application and the EE DDL to itself and XE

    Source DB - Oracle 11 g 2 EA

    Target DB - Oracle 11 GR 2, 11 2 Oracle XE GR SE

    O/S - RHEL 6.5

    Application - APEX 4.2.2

    Must give up an APEX application and the underlying DDL associated with a database Oracle EE an Oracle SE and XE database.

    Patterns are required to export to accomplish this approach?

    Is there one method other than export patterns which would be preferably?  (for example export tablespaces).

    You should not deal with apex tablespace or schema APEX_040X00.

    Just follow these steps:

    (1) ensure that the APEX version is the same or higher in the target schema, upgrade if need be

    (2) discover patterns of the application (NOT APEX_XX) pump and export data those and import them into the target schema.

    (3) in the target database, create a different workspace and the link with the schemas imported analysis

    (4) export enforcement APEX of source database in the target database.

    If you expand the app, better to talk to the one who did it. Make sure that the Images, CSS, JavaScript files are added as objects of support and those that are then exported (to step 4).

    Basically don't worry about APEX_O40X00 scheme, as long as your Apex versions match, it will be the same and will be automatically filled with metadata in the application import and export performance.

  • Import export of the schema is unknown

    Hello

    I have a file dump exported molasses formed up again that some tables. The schema for the export of the discharge is unknown and we have only provided the dump file.

    I have a scheme named EXTRCT which has been granted the DBA role in my target database. I want to import the tables in the schema EXTRCT.

    The following command retrieves the tables in schema EXTRCT or it will create the schema in my target database that was used during the export. If it is the latter, how can I force the tables to be imported into the schema EXTRCT. I guess that I can't use REMAP_SCHEMA because I don't have the name of the schema where tables were exported?

    Impdp EXTRCT/extrct dumpfile = logfile directory = dp_dir imp.log = exp.dmp

    The databases are 11 GR 2.

    Thank you

    Mathieu

    run the import with

    sqlFile = my_test_file. SQL

    This will insert all ddl statements in the file instead of their execution.  Nothing will be created.  You can then change the my_test_file.sql to see what the patterns are.  You can also see if there are tablespaces that will need to be remapped as well.

  • Generate the schema from database

    Hello:

    Version 3.0.0, build 653, which is 3.0 ai2 if I have the right name. Come help - about version information.

    We did something in the designer and I would do the same in SQL Data Modeler, it is possible, or use a workaround to a minimum. It is something we absolutely must have before crossing the designer DM.

    We receive sets of customer data and import them into a schema. We then open a Designer session, tables we have made DDL changes for some time, click on generate, choose the target containing up-to-date data schema, but old DDL and then click OK to merge the latest repository DDL changes in the schema with the new data but old DDL.

    Here's what I know how to do now. I captured the ddl DM Designer with success. I also captured the schema of the database with customer data fresh successfully DM. I think I'm pretty close. I was also able to compare and see the DDL differences using tools - model comparison/merging of views. The problem is that when I click on the DOF preview at the bottom of the dialog box to compare, one containing the differences found, the button pulls up to the DDL file editor dialog box but it is empty/Virgin. So my question to point how do I get a ddl file so I can run it against my client target data schema? I guess that the direct method, I have noted above is therefore more an option, because I read in a post here somewhere.

    The output of compare models also includes the differences with the names of the constraints generated by the control system, which will always be different between us and our customers. We don't care merge these names of check constraint and want to exclude the ddl file switch off. Is there a way?

    Thanks for any help.

    Love this new product so far. Excellent work.

  • avoid triggers on all tables in the schema

    I need to put a CREATION TIMESTAMP to the timestamp of the database server (not the timestamp of session) in all tables in a schema to create and update. Is to create a trigger on all the tables in the schema a less time consuming way to do?

    Similarly, I need to set up columns such as CREATE_USER, LAST_UPDATE_USER.

    Thank you in advance.

    You can easily generate the DDL for adding new columns.

    The extent of the filling of the columns, your choice is either to use insertion befire table and triggers to update to fill the columns or the application to provide the necessary information.

    Basic trigger logic would be pretty much the same for all tables, then write a little SQL or PL/SQL to generate the code of the trigger should be simple enough.

    Depending on your application, such as web based with only one Oracle user, you may need to get the real user through dbms_application_info by the logic of the server-based application.

  • command-line comparison tool to compare the schemas of the db?

    We would like to have the rest of the process where we have A server with an existing database with all tables (say there db version of Figure 3). We want to do the following
    1 export all the information about the tables, columns, constraints, sequences from a file or something
    2 blow the database
    3 re-create the database
    4. have you Hibernate running with create and it will create all tables and constraints and sequences
    5. export all the information of this new scheme (version 4) to another file or something
    6. compare steps 1 and 5.

    Can what tools I use to do step 1, 5 and 6? It's all automated, so I need some command line tools. How can I do this? I'm quite new to oracle and new on schema comparison as well.

    Thank you
    Dean

    You don't mention a version of Oracle, so I'll assume something relatively new, 10.2 or 11.1.

    An option that would be relatively simple to automate would be to use the DBMS_METADATA package to generate the DDL for each object in the schema (I assume that you're not really blow away the entire base Oracle, just the particular schema where you deploy your application tables). SQL * more script that covered objects in the schema, calling DBMS_METADATA, queue the results to a flat file would be all that is necessary. Assuming that you do this before and after reconstruction, you should be able to use your favorite diff command line tool to generate the differences between the two.

    Another option would be to simply save the data in the data dictionary (e.g., USER_CONSTRAINTS USER_TABLES USER_INDEXES, USER_TAB_COLS, USER_CONSTRAINTS, etc.) and compare it to the actual data dictionary after the reconstruction (ignoring statistics columns that are supposed to change).

    Oracle has also a pack of change management (additional cost) which has an interface SQL that you could probably use. But I'm guessing that this is not what you are looking for.

    How can I fix it?

    Hi BernieHopkins,

    1 have you properly previously defined the power scheme?

    2 have you made any hardware changes or software on the computer before this problem?

    3. What is the full error message that you receive?

    If you receive the same error as mentioned in this link, you can follow this link & check if the problem persists.

  • Version of the schema via SQLite PRAGMA user_version

    I read some post on peacekeeping the schema via the PRAGMA version... From what I read, this method seems to be the right approach to implement. But in the last few days I've been running a few problems with my implementation... So, I have 2 questions...

    1. When I update the user_version PRAGMA, the value is never stored after each new load application...

      1st round (Application does not close on the device):

      Initial version of DB 0
      Version of DB 0
      DB Version 1
      DB Version 2
      DB Version 3

      2nd round

      Initial version of DB 1
      Version of DB 0
      DB Version 1
      DB Version 2
      DB Version 3

      To my knowledge, on the 2nd run the PRAGMA user_value must contain the value of 3... But it always starts at 1.

      This is the sequential code used to get and update the PRAGMA...

        // Retreive the DB schema version #
        QSqlQuery sqlQuery(sqlda->connection());
        sqlQuery.setForwardOnly(true);
        sqlQuery.exec("PRAGMA user_version");

        if (!sqlQuery.isActive())
        {
          // error
          qDebug() << "Error fetching DB Version.";
        }

        if (sqlQuery.next())
        {
          version = sqlQuery.value(0).toInt();
          qDebug() << "Initial DB Version " << version;
        }

        QSqlQuery sqlUpdateQuery(sqlda->connection());
        sqlQuery.setForwardOnly(true);
        sqlUpdateQuery.exec("PRAGMA user_version=0");

        ...

        sqlUpdateQuery.exec("PRAGMA user_version=3");

    2. In my class, I've decoupled the functions of the two as separate C++ function below version...

        int version = 0;

      QSqlDatabasePrivate::addDatabase: duplicate connection name '. / data / bookDatabase.db' old deleted connection.

      I tried to add the following sqlda-> connection (m:System.NET.Sockets.Socket.close ()); After calling SQL but the same message appears.

      You forgot something in my code... in c#, I usually wrap my SQL operations with a try catch/finally block. In the finally block, I close and have waiting them for connections...

  • To update the schema in the data pump

    Hello

    Is that we can update the schema in the database without creating the similar to the network mode dump file

    I have a DB 1 database to say, it contains two schema Test and production, we can update the test with production data without creating the dump file in the database server.

  • Can connect to the schema number when you create a new workspace in APEX?

    Hello

    It is perhaps a stupid question since I'm still a beginner .

    Our version of the APEX is 5.0.2. We currently have a workspace associated with a schema, but we wonder if we can connect to multiple schema (in a database) in a workspace APEX?  Say, one APEX application, we would like to allow the user access to data distributed in different schema.  If not, are there alternatives to allow user access to the schema data?

    Thank you very much!

    Several assignments work/scheme space can be created in the admin/internal workspace to Home > Manage Workspaces > Workspace manage assignments of schema.

    Say, one APEX application, we would like to allow the user access to data distributed in different schema.  If not, are there alternatives to allow user access to the schema data?

    Several patterns can be assigned to a workspace. A workspace can contain multiple applications. Each application is based on one (and only one) the analysis of schema. Access to objects in other schemas is controlled at the database level by the usual means of grants and synonyms.

  • Creating the folder on the Complutense University of MADRID using the schema of the SCO

    Hello

    Now I insert the new row in the table COLLECTIONS in the scheme of the OCS to oracle ucm to add the new folder on the University Complutense of Madrid, but when I opened the AAU and weblogic connection I can't find the file.Capture.PNG

    Read-only access to the data is secure, but I agree with Amey that unless you are absolutely sure of what you are doing, you never change data in the standard tables.

    If want to get all records to display in a tree structure in a 3rd party app, querying the db can be a way to go. In fact, long ago I did something similar (in a custom component, but that does not change much). If you are interested, check out the help of A with a hierarchical query

    Of course, you can also check the standard of folders_g services, if you don't find anything suitable too.
