Two points:
1. What did you perform analyses with? Not all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs are just as good, and some of the more popular are among the worst. There is a good chance that your problem is caused by a malware infection.
2 ignore what the RCS registry said that you are errors and do not run this software once again. Registry cleaning programs are * all * snake oil. The registry cleaning is not necessary and dangerous. Let alone register and do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and what software record cleaning providers are trying to you convince to have used the registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit it may have.
Read http://www.edbott.com/weblog/archives/000643.html
and http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099
Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns against the use of registry cleaners has never said that they always cause problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry cleaner and never had a problem with it.
The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it the essential * risk * to have a problem. And since there is no advantage to using a registry cleaner, running the risk is a very bad deal.

The CPU usage reaches 100% and the system locks requiring a hard restart on Windows Vista
All of sudden the CPU usage reaches 100%, which makes the system dead slow and finally the system stops responding. I have to do a hard reboot to continue using the system.
I tried to open the Task Manager to see if there are programs or services running that can consume resources and found nothing. The remains of number of CPU use, the graph to use but less than 10 years is hovering at 100%.
I did not change my system.
The problem appears on the two accounts that I installed on my operating system.
I removed all the unwanted programs since the system was started.
I have McAfee Antivirus installed for more than a year now, and the latest antivirus patches have been installed.
Help, please.
Thank you in advance!

Probable cause of the system slows down suddenly?
Hello;Your advice and help would be greatly appreciated.(1) the laptop became irritating suddenly slow!Slow start of Windows, open files running of MS anti-virus, slow slow slow internet access, the desktop icons disappear and reappear at the beginning of every task, etc. a moment.(2) I have run a scan complete, just in case there's a virus. It took ~ 2 hrs to scan ~ 1 240 000 elements. Also, I ran Disk Defragmenter in case space is the problem.(3) the unit is:... Nothing has changed, always the same 6 programs on the start menu.Any suggestion (s)?Thank you.MonirThank you Jose andRobear to your quick and thoughtful answers.( 1) Please allow me little time to consider the proposal detailed Jose and Robear advice that MS is well aware of the problem and (hopefully) will come (soon) with an update to resolve the problem.( 2) in the meantime, I wonder if anyone of you has experience with the use of the freeware "CCleaner v2.34.1200:The developer claims that she cleans the system and optimizes the performance of the PC and it's free. It's absolutely fantastic!I downloaded and installed the package, but have not yet run it!( 3) the "CCleaner" seems well designed and comprehensive. It has many options for:.. .cleaning Windows & Applications.. .cleaning registry & Startup... Deleting temporary Internet files & programs... Bleach unused hard drive... Removing obsolete software... etc.( 4) the difficulty (for me) is that you cannot select the option buttons at random without knowing or at least have an idea about the consequences. The problem could get worse!( 5) for example, I've checked the box to deleteCookies or to theIndex.dat files (which I don't know what they are for, in the first place!).It will probably improve the performance of the system (speed), but could also block me of some web sites and would need re-subscribe, passwords, etc.Deleting Index.dat files can simply affecting the functionality of certain applications.I don't think that trial-and-error approach would work here. Will study more carefully "CCleaner".Any comments?Kind regards.Monirmonirg,
CCLEANER: This is my configuration:
Uncheck the box:
In INTERNET EXPLORER:
Last download location
History of AutoComplete form
In WINDOWS EXPLORER:
Recent documents
In the SYSTEM:
Clipboard
Memory dumps
Windows log files
Shortcuts on the Start Menu
Desktop shortcuts
In the commercial category, uncheck the WindowsDefender. With this checked remove history when the last scan was performed.
Cleaning DO NOT USE ANY Advanced options. DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY OR TOOLS. At least not for now.
Make sure that you go to Options > Advanced Options anduncheck the box ' only delete the files in of Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours "before running a scan.
Suggests to save changes until you get to know and feel comfortable.
Personally, CCleaner is the only program that I apply to any computer that I repair. I have never had any undesirable results to use this program. It is on the shy side of what it aims to achieve and is not very aggressive in its changes. It allows you also to save changes and reapply them if you have any of the disastrous consequences by allowing the changes.
That being said - I can't say that the way I never realized no improvement after cleaning the registry!

Latest Vista updates have picked up my use of the internet and slowed down my system
Last week, I had several automatic updates. In the meantime, updates have been loading on my computer all landed and froze. After the updates, I'll have a terrible time in AOL. The program has slowed down and often gives me an error message that the system is not responding. I contacted AOL who gave me many suggestions that I follow, but I still have problems (more my overall system is slow now). Says to contact Microsoft. It may be a problem with acceleration. I don't have these problems until the updates installed this week.
Now my system restore no longer works. I can't go back to before the updates. What can I do?
Hi andrewgpig,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.
Possible cause would be that updates might conflict with other programs on the computer. Also could have damaged some system files on the computer.
I suggest to try in safe mode and check the performance of the pc first.
To start the computer in safe mode, do in the link below
http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/323ef48f-7b93-4079-a48a-5c58eec904a11033.mspx
If it works fine in safe mode, then find the program that is in conflict. The link below shows you how to do a clean boot
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/331796
If the steps above fail. Try to do a scan sfc
Try to run a SFC scan, to do this, follow these steps:
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
Type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analysis of all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions
I hope this helps. .
Let us know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.
Kind regards

Please be specific on what you mean by "far from many errors on the hard drive." What kind of mistakes? Do you mean the drive read errors? Please quote the error message you get exact, verbatim.
How many mistakes is "too much"? How many times they do they happen? They occur only when doing certain things or anything?
If you really get a lot of the drive read errors, the drive is defective and must be replaced.
But if you're talking about freezing, slow, etc. This is another question entirely, and I wouldn't call it 'errors on the hard drive. The little info you provided the mind, it is difficult to know what this problem is, but one of the things these days plussusceptibles is malware infection. What antivirus do you run (they are far from being just as good, and some of the most popular are among the worst). Do you also run an anti-spyware program? If not, it's * very * likelythat you are infected. I recommend that you download and run the free MalwareBytes AntiMalware to http://www. Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

Means that your mouths and radiator has more than dust on them and the fan does not work correctly. You have to disassemble and clean the fan and vents to let him work again properly.

The VM startup slow down, delay long before the guest operating system begins startup
Evaluation of VMWare to set up the VM for the maintenance of the software. Set up a virtual machine, install Windows 7 SP1 32-bit, everything works well. Once started, the performance is excellent.
The symptom is that when you start the virtual machine, either starting from cold boot or suspend, there is a significant delay before the power of VMware on / start screen is displayed. Once it appears, the operating system starts starting (or the recovery of wakefulness) quickly and performance is normal after that. During the start-up period, the whole system is insensitive, host and guest operating system.
See the extract of newspaper below to 09:54:28.619 moment where the delay occurs followed by the entry concerning 09:55:11.625 time when start continues, a delay of 43 seconds during which nothing seems to happen and the system does not respond. After that, everything is fast.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello
I know what you want to say as I've seen sometimes as well. But especially on older hardware or if there are problems with regard to particular resources. For example I saw this on an ESX host (yes I know product different) where there was a problem with the storage not enough providing IOPS / s.
I saw also this on older versions of Linux (IIRC 7) workstation where the host had an Atom based CPU, there I updated to more RAM and a more recent version of the workstation and the problem disappeared.
Then I also saw it on the 4/5 merger when my host operating system was out of memory and I tried to start another operating system to prompt anyway.
I do not consider a normal behavior for the slow start and does not respond, it is an indication that the hypervisor is seeking some resources, but does not receive them fast enough.
The reasons can be many. Indeed things like antivirus could be biting you if she tries to analyze all files (including virtual disks) at their opening.
FWIW, I also understand the support response as would be expected if your host is a bit thin on the resources (for example, trying to start a VM 1 GB on a host Win7 with only 3.5 GB of RAM) and if the virtual machine runs OK after the initial startup delay, it's mostly just an annoyance.
