The table border
How can I put a border around a table BUT NOT around the cells in the table?
Thanks for your help.
Using style sheets cascading (CSS).
Add the following to your stylesheet:
table {border: 1px solid black ;}}
Set the weight, style, and color according to the needs.

Hi there - for some reason any page on my site does not open the border of the chart to the right. All other pages are working properly. When I remove all the evidence (the content of the page in question), then the border shows. I deleted the testomonials one by one, from the bottom to the top, hoping I could learn what evidence has the issue. There must be a character that is throw off. Any help would be appreciated.

Click here to see this pageHi Jon,
Would you try to replace the padding in your CSS Tableborder 25 p to 23px?
{.tableBorders}
border: 1px solid #A3D165;
Padding: 23px;
}Please let me know if that suits him.
I played with this problem for a little while now. It's very weird, and
doesn't appear to happen in IE7. This does not happen in FF.
It's a very strange problem. Perhaps a bug of IE.I found removing the tag fixed it. Not a good solution.
I tried to use CSS instead of the tag , same trouble.
I put the tag back to and experienced others to find a better
solution.
I discovered that I was able to make the right border reappear in IE7 by
remove 1 character of some lines of text, or by padding in
the array of cells 2px smaller once I've finished adding all text.It seems that this problem starts if you have an empty table with padding cell
type in multiple lines of text in Design view, which allows lines of
AutoWrap while you type (No.
or newtags). If one of these lines will
full-width, where a word ends exactly at the beginning of the right
padding, then you add a tag to the EM, the border disappears in IE7.It's almost as if the inclination of the letters with the tag (or CSS) when
There are precisely the maximum number of characters allowed in this width
causes of IE7 to lose the right border to account for the extra space of the
Tilt.
Remove just 1 character or reducing the 2px padding after brings the
edge back.
Very strange.Take care

How to remove the table border
Dear Kings.
I was trying to remove the borders of tables (my coding below).
This encoding does not "result: undefined"? How to remove all borders from the table. Please suggest friends.
var mTables = app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem(); with (mTables) { topBorderStrokeWeight = 0; bottomBorderStrokeWeight = 0; leftBorderStrokeWeight = 0; rightBorderStrokeWeight = 0; } alert("Done")
Thank you in advance to all
Try this,
if(app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.length>0) { app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().cells.everyItem().bottomEdgeStrokeWeight = 0; app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().cells.everyItem().topEdgeStrokeWeight = 0; app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().cells.everyItem().leftEdgeStrokeWeight = 0; app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().cells.everyItem().rightEdgeStrokeWeight = 0; }

The table at the bottom of table border
When I run the table on the next page, the lower part of the table border disappears. It seems that at the end of the table. The table that I use is as long as 5 pages and the border does not appear until page 5 (last page).
I can apply the cell style to the line at the bottom of page. However, I wonder if there is that a gap Indesign automatically applies the border at the end of each page? Thank you
There is no way to make it automatic. The border settings are supposed to be around the entire table (which in your case is deep 5 pages).
You may be able to create a cell style and change only the background race to match the appearance of the border. Then apply it to the lower cells of each page.

Alignment of the cells in the table
How to view a table in a cell without any gap between the table border and the cell in which the table is inserted?

rule in the table at the bottom of table
Is it possible to include a line at the bottom of a table using a table style? The table border setting puts a border around the table, and I want the border only in the last line of the table. (With the help of InDesign CS5).
Here is a screenshot of a simple table with three defined Cell Styles style
Filling 10 percent of black header, 1 pt STROKE on walls, top, left, right, 3pt STROKE on the back wall.
Line stipple body 0.5 point on the walls
Feature of 0pt footer on the bottom, walls left & right, race 5 points on the wall of top
Table style is set to apply the style to the header to the header line, body style lines of the body and footer in the footer rows.
I don't understand what you mean by using table styles and cell since they are intended is a "Workaround".

Once again... Muse removes the style code that you put into this table so your other option is to use an iframe
example of your table in an iframe = table (by itself) and i-table (inside the iframe Muse)

Table border without a border around the cells of td in the it
I have a page with a lot of tables on it. For one of the tables I want a border that goes around the entire table, but also creates a border around the cells of td in the table. My current coding includes < table width = "804" border = "1", etc. for the table, and < td width = "350" border-width: 0px; etc. to the cells and the coding does NOT work. I don't think I can create css rules to govern the border for this unique table because I have other tables in the page where I don't want to use this format of table/td cell border. Thanks for any help you can provide!
I don't think I can create css rules to govern the border for this unique table because I have other tables in the page where I don't want to use this format of table/td cell border.
Easy to do if you're simply targeting the special table with a class or ID.
CSS
{table. Special}
border: 1px solid black;
Width: 804px;
}
table. Special td {border: none ;}}

Color of the border on the tables
Hello
I use Dreamweaver cs3 and created a table to display text and embedded videos, the problem I have is:
I want only specific borders within the table appears so for each box, I created a style and I attribute this style to the box in the code but when I look at the page in Firefox Preview borders show as black, but in design, they show that the right color.
Can anyone tell where I'm wrong because I am very new to this?
I put the code below:
{.style4}
border-bottom-color: #f0d41a;
border-bottom-style: solid;
border-bottom-width: medium;
border-color: #f0d41a;
border-bottom: solid;
border-left: #f0d41a;
border-left: medium;
border-left: solid;
border-right-color: #f0d41a;
border-right-width: medium;
border-right: solid;
}< td width = "341" class = 'style4' > < div align = "center" > < span class = "style2" > text </span > < / div > < table >
{.style4}
border-bottom: #f0d41a medium solid;
border-right: #f0d41a medium solid;
border-left: #f0d41a medium solid;
}or you could do this:
{.style4}
solid support of border #f0d41a;
border-top: none;

Does not match the CSS table border color
Having a problem with the tables have their border colors not designated. I think that something is riding in CSS too, but don't know how. Here is the page. I attributed to a new class w /-background color, but it does not - just transparent borders. Thoughts?
.table {}
Display: inline;
{border-color: #000000}

It worked for the border, thanks. Although I try to get every cell described in #000000 as well. I say something like
border-right-color: 1px solid #000000;
{border-left-color: 1px solid #000000}
Thus?
.table {}
border-collapse: collapse;
}
.table td {}
border: 1px solid #000;

Why my header of table in contact with the top border of the table?
I created a single-celled table that behaves as a title in a quick reference guide.
The problem is that the header of the ends to the top text against the top border of the table, as shown below.
I tried to change the cell margins in table designer and by changing the spacing options in the paragraph Designer.
Or is there a better way than a table to accomplish this topic?
How can I fix it?
Cindy
Cindy,
Check the paragraph designer to see where in the cell (top, middle or bottom) is specified for the paratag used for the title of the table. In addition, check if there is no positionnelles substitutions for the margins specified in the paratag. It will be take it some parameters specified through the table designer.
