  It is impossible to remove the desktop icons without removing them from the taskbar.

  I lost the NVIDIA Control Panalpina once I have updated my audio drivers once and I wanted to come back so I uninstalled my NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT
  display driver. I even downloaded before you uninstall it and put it on the desktop. After uninstalling I went in remaining boot safe and deleted the files and the registry using Driver Sweeper and then booted back to normal startup. I reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers and then I had no internet, so I searched what was wrong and I found that he had removed my Chipset drivers, so I tried one I have downloaded a driver from memory card and it didn't work so I tried another and he got my internet connection to the Local network then turn it on and working.  Now he's doing a short black screen after startup, and he always had the short black screen when I had the front Panal control for NVIDIA. Why does do that?

  Tonight I was check my Microsoft color management system and made a demonstration of calibration results. I run a laptop.

  I do this in preparation to rework some of my photographic images in preparation for printing from a site selling products online of art which I am a member. ICC color profiles and so on was my reading today on the internet - Phew!

  In any case, I made a mistake. I had downloaded a profile soft proofing (zip file, I scanned with my anti-virus and that's okay). However, I had not checked out files.

  While I was still in the color management, I clicked on the Add button to add this profile soft proofing, and when I finally found the file and clicked on it once, I got the message: "the storage control blocks were destroyed." Does OK, no information on what to do.

  Then, I went on the internet and do a Bing search and found that it is supposed to be an indication that there is corrupted system files. And, later, I'm a little lost as to what to do.  I didn't run any programs to solve this problem, even ' tho there is something called RepairImage.exe. I decided to come here instead, go to the source. Any help please? Thank you.

  Have you tried to start the computer in safe mode? If so, what was the result? Was question still persists in safe mode?

  Safe MODE: open and used two programs I normally use, and they recorded the changes that I made for them. In clean boot mode, I could see these changes had "taken."

  I tried to calibrate a screen, but only got the following message:

  Red X: display color calibration

  Display color calibration can not calibrate the selected screen [which is my LAPTOP LCD flat screen] because it cannot determine whether the display is in 'mirror', which means that the office is duplicated and show on different screens. Calibration of the color screen cannot calibrate a screen reflected.

  What has been the result of clean boot?

  Starting in MINIMAL MODE: the system enabled me to follow up to completion with screen calibrate (although I didn't want to load the profile of different color referred to in my original post). There is no messages of any kind.

  Re views 'mirrored' - I had recently a problem with my Optus Mobile Broadband, which is connected to my PC via a dongle, and the person that I spoke on the phone asked me, and I said yes, although normally I'm not agree to such a thing, remote connect to my PC while we were both on the phone; in other words, a type of Assistance Remote Desktop connection where he was responsible for what was happening on my PC.   The program that was used to do this is called LogMeIn, lmi.exe. I have removed this program once we had finished and made sure my Services have been in the appropriate configuration. However, there are now two other installed programs with respect to the service - hwdservice.exe and ouc.exe. And the Optus program is set to automatic in the Services. Previously, it was manual. This has fixed the problem (intermittent network connectivity).

  I wonder if it could have been the cause of this current calibrate display problem.

  I will presume that rebooting the system Safe Mode and clean boot has authorized, on the matter.

  Here in 2013 and after change just bought win7pro to ultimate for $125 thought that the Japanese addit would work, but not pay $25 more to do for Office Pro 2113 and weird in Japanese message forced me to change to 32 bit despite the Lenovo in 64-bit and the 64-bit ultimate and the place of keyboard (allows me to darken the Japanese but only gives me the choice blackened to 'delete' and no way to add) much less apply - have not eaten in a day with this nonsense that passes. XPpro if she had it all what he and I assumed that ms products would improve, but it's torture. What the hell is happening? I'm dead in the water, work on the most important series of books I've ever written, and MUST have my IME to return! Please, Microsoft, don't be so cruel to bilingual - USA can use some of them!

  All's well that ends well - so read on if you have problems where it is useful.

  You answer to seems weird, but as no one else has, and only me and a technician know what components are, here it is:

  I had to not only to redo an other update of microsoft and find Japanese among the OPTION updates to windows, BUT AFTER IT, had to go to the office and pay $25 extra to download a Japanese language pack. Windows and Office are the one I thought, but they were NOT in fact.

  Now that the download took almost half an hour, not 10 minutes, he argued and just at the end says it wasn't good, only 32-bit were OK and I chose 64. Why I still do not know. I chose 64 as my new Lenovo is 64 bit and my office has a 64 on the number and should be the same. Really weird, the announcement was made in a box written in Japanese! Luckily I can read. So I re-downloaded the 32 bit. (I guess the 64 is for Japanese os because he is smarter than what we run in English)

  Following problem. I tried and tried to get the Japanese module that I had run = installed to become and other language in the settings of the keyboard that is in the regions and languages in the input control panel. See if this happens to you, otherwise restart first then it will be fine and I see a response more rapid switching languages in Outlook and Gmail. So, if someone is suffering, don't worry! Hope MS combined with Lenovo, etc for sale ready to go in bilingual mode PC, so nobody gets hurt (and skinny) lose weight as I have just to get a pc working properly. Now to try to export my xp IME dictionary to add some intelligence to the program. Keep your fingers crossed.

  I have a 22D1333B in for repair because it would not play the DVD. I replaced the charger DVD (part No. 75040787) and the unit will now play DVDs ok but the DVD section will not respond to the remote control.

  All other TV functions operate via the remote control without any problem. It's just the DVD section.

  I cured the last of them by exchanging the PCB on the new DVD unit with that of the old unit, but this certainly isn't the way to address this problem.

  I downloaded and installed the software on the site of Vestel and updated the software for the Toshiba site. The fault remains.

  Any help to solve this problem would be welcome.

  In my opinion the new DVD drive isn't fully compatible with the remote control (type) RC1910 that was included in the box.

• The volume control on the Satellite Pro A200 with Ubuntu 7.10

  I have a Satellite Pro A200GE-1F9, I did recently to dual boot with Vista and Ubuntu 7.10. It's the first time I used Linux and most things are going well so far.

  However, the volume control (a wheel at the front of the laptop) does not control the volume correctly with Ubuntu, rather than increase the volume smoothly as with Vista, it increases in a 1/8 of maximum volume jumps, the on-screen volume control is always smooth. I think that it is at least partly due to the change of a material volume wheel, as with the latest Toshiba, I have used, for a version of software based. It controls the system volume and runs continuously, without stop at maximum or minimum volumes.

  Does anyone know how to change this change in volume for a smooth jump?

  Have you ever google and checked the ubuntu forums? According to me, which will bring you closer the source here instead.

• How can I activate the remote control of remote desktop?

  I'm trying to control my 10.4.11 Mac OS X 10.10.4 machine.  Remote Desktop is enabled, I have vnc into it and see the screen, but the options to activate the control grayed out on my window of the 10.4.11 machine.    I know that I could do it with iChat, but I would like to be able to do this with the Office remotely like I can with 10.6 and later.  Clues as to why the mouse control is grayed and what to do about it?

  In sharing office window remote access, which users are listed, & are checked?

  If no user you must add at least one, if the box IT didn't is not enabled for a user, then all options right will be grayed out.

  On the Web HP Customer Support-software and Driver Downloads page, I downloaded some updates. When I then downloaded and installed the operating system-enhancements and patches updates of system essential to the folder, the action inadvertently uninstalled the Intel Control Center on my laptop.

  On a Web site, I have seen that the operating system Windows 7 most of them uses Intel Control Center. In the Web HP G62-b60SI Notebook PC-troubleshooting page, I read that its recommended that you don't need to download from the site to Intel, but rather to the HP Web site itself for performance reasons, it is done. The product number is XU596EA #ACQ, my Version of the Bios/Date: Hewlett Packard F.47, 15/02/2011 and equipped with a processor Intel Pentium can you please help?

  I changed a program a list item in a list control of "51" "77" by using the function NOR "ReplaceListItem (...)"

  When I left the program and looked at the list control, I have observed the list item has still "51" (instead of the expected '77').

  The question is: ' how can I permanently replace a list item in a list control.

  If I understand correctly, you have defined some items in the list control in IUR Editor, then you want to change one of them by program and have this change in the file of the IUR.

  Well, if that's what you are trying to accomplish, there is no easy way to get it: operated by program changes cancel their scope when you exit the program and not reflected in the physical files. Use the ICB ActiveX interface, save the IUR in TUI form with function (CVI_AppConvertUIRToTUI), modify programmatically the TUI file, save it and then convert it to the IUR by CVI_AppConvertTUIToUIR () format. Not a trivial task, I'm afraid, and, possibly, this task is not worth.

  An easier way is to have an external options file or a configuration file where to store items to load in the list control when you need it: this file can be edited by yourself, either programmatically or manually when you need to change some items.

  I can't give you a reasonable way to solve this problem, since as you have already noted plot do not snappable plots.

  A possible warkaround would be to replace the plot of individual instructions with a PlotXY matching with 2 bays 2 points each, which correspond to the x 1, x 2, y1, y2 parameters to plot. PlotXY plots are snappable, so you can enable this procedure select the plot and remove it.
