By the switch of my Acer 10 owner's manual, there are steps proposed to "create a backup recovery" and a "driver and application backup. But the Acer Recovery Management will run. When I click on Acer recovery management application, I get the screen of the security clearance. I click on "OK" to continue. Nothing happens. I tried several times. I also tried to run as an administrator without success. I have a 32 GB flash drive ordered. Is the flash drive must be inserted into the switch 10 for the application to run? You must insert the USB pen to perform recovery management, either by the way, if the Acer recovery management does not work, you can use windows built-in recovery.

  • The Task Manager does not close firefox already running but does not

Firefox stops running at random times. I'm used to be able to shut up by the Manager of tasks without problem. Now when I try nothing happens. Process highlights and just it running no matter how many times I clicked. I can close other processes very well. Firefox crashes a lot more often lately, and it's a pain to have constantly close and restart to clean. Firefox crashes so that in different websites, or even after I closed it but have not stopped since. When I try to open it I get the message ' existing enforcement does not. But even when I close it normally always seems to remain in the background. I am not tech savvy at all any solution would be appreciated. Thank you.

You will need to get to the bottom of this problem and try to prevent that from happening in the future

    1. First create and use a new additional Firefox profile. I'm hoping that will result in at least a Firefox that you can close.
Use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox_creation-a-profile
    2. Note that normally, the method of closing of Firefox is to use the menus in Firefox | Firefox button. (Using other methods might create problems and there are some bugs of current / recent Bug 845681 & 8537799 )

  • Why the Adobe help Manager does not close?

I don't know what is the "Adobe help Manager" (ridiculous name). I noticed as an open application in my toolbar (Windows 7), but you cannot close it. There's just there. Only goes away when I rebooted my system. Ideas or comments?

In General, I would like to comment that many of the current Adobe programs (including CC) are nowhere near as intuitive as it should be. You lose a bit of time trying to find a way to fairly obvious functions. Usually will have to go online to find an answer. Should be clearer and more obvious. The interface of CC (to download the work files) seems a 'clean' design Yes, clean... and little intuitive.

Adobe Help Manager is an application that allows you to manage files in Adobe help mode also online & offline.  In other words, when you open any adobe application and search for online help, this Adobe help Manager is responsible for the management of people.

He will stay on the notification bar whenever access you adobe online help.

You can close it by right clicking on it and choosing "output CHCi. But don't forget, it will once you choose to use the help of adobe.

In the Windows Task Manager, I have 76 processes running. What are they all? Can I reduce/close them?

I am only a very lightweight browser and the user of the social network. I do not use my PC for something else.

It is average for a system Windows does not.

Windows is broken down into different components so they can be executed in parallel to improve performance.

Their closure will cause your computer to malfunction and eventually fails.

Run process Explorer to give you a description of each process and information on the services that are running in each svchost process.

    Hey MikePressman,

The virus infestation rarely disables the Task Manager. Check if the DisableTaskMgr key exists in the registry editor.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following windows Help article.

    Back up the registry

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-the-registry

    a. go to start and type regedit.exe.

    b. navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

    c. on the right side, find a REG_DWORD value called DisableTaskMgr.

    d. If the key exists, you can delete the key or double-click on it and set its value to 0 to enable the taskbar.

    e. close Regedit.exe

    f. restart the computer.

Task Manager should be back now.

  • The Task Manager is not working

Original title: MANAGER of the TASKS DOENSN can't WORK

THE DOENSN CAN'T WORK TASK MANAGER

What exactly does "Does not WORK"?

You see one of these messages:

The task manager has been disabled by your system administrator.
The task manager has been disabled by group policy.

Or nothing seems to happen when you call the Task Manager?

Some malicious software is aware of the methods you are most likely to use to find and remove it (invites the Task Manager, System Restore, command, Internet, Google, etc.) and prevents things from work.

The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.

The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.

You can fool the malware (and then fix it).

Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.

Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize.  I like to call the copy:

    c:\windows\system32\jose.exe

Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.

The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a process running as well
beat you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).

Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly).  If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but will be still infected your system.

Usually, there are a few other things that also don't work you would like to know later, so I recommend you do this:

Reduce the risk of malware by running some scans.

Download, install, update, and make at least a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

It can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, test your task manager and we can repair any other pending issues.

If things look good, you can delete the c:\windows\system32\jose.exe file (sorry, Jose).

  • the Task Manager does not start

My laptop started running very slowly and I can't seem to start the Task Manager. Ctrl alt delete gives me the opportunity to start that I chose, but I don't get an inactive icon in my toolbar. I am running vista Home basic with service pack 1. When I restart or stop the laptop hangs at logging off-page. I also noticed that some of my applications/startup process are not start or appearing in my toolbar. I initially had Bit defender as my anti virus - but he exchanged for computer related. I had the problem with both.

    Hi Omanianne,

Please read the following article from Microsoft Help on the Troubleshooting Task Manager.  Specifically, look at the sections of the Task Manager does not start, and How to enable the Task Manager if it has been disabled.  Based on the other symptoms you have described, it is very possible that you have some kind of virus.  Please make sure that your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan complete your system.  Please let us know if you have any problems or questions.  Thank you.
