The Windows Installer does not-Vista 32-bit SP1
The Windows Installer simply stopped. Windows Update not happened since 01/06/11. It's the journal cbs.log for just on 01/06/11 & 01/07/11 after running scannow. Is there something in there that prevents the installer from working? I am very frustrated. Thank you

You have installed system mechanic? This is what it seems possible that a recent analysis could have messed up windows installer, so causing problems similar to what you describe.
