There is no startup Camp.vmwarevm

I browsed and followed all discussions on this topic without success. My macbook pro has frozen, the HD had to be reformatted and restored from a backup time machine on an external drive. Everything except the merger seems to be good. I think there is no error message "Boot Camp.vmwarevm". I have attached the support information in case it is useful.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Say Apple technology?

When you use the Boot Camp partition in a Virtual Machine, it is not the same thing as what we call a normal file based Virtual Machine, we made which requires the installation of the operating system directly on the VHD to the difference when a physical disk is to use directly with Boot Camp.  Normal file based virtual computers must be stop within the guest operating system and VMware Fusion closed, then the Package (es) of the Virtual Machine should be copied to another location, preferably to another physical disk.

Time Machine can / will save normal file database Virtual Machines however if the virtual machine is running, while the backup takes place it will be corrupted and then restore will not work properly and therefore Time Machine should not be used on all files that are in a State of flux at the time of the backup.  Don't tell Time Machine can not backup/restore a Virtual Machine, it can, however, unless you do it manually and make sure the Virtual Machine did not during the backup and are never stored while it is running, then you'll find yourself with a virtual hard disk that is in an inconsistent state and cannot be fixed.  So why bother and waste of bandwidth, disk space, time, etc., to end up with nothing usable.

As the backup of the Boot Camp partition, as far as I know, it is not currently maintained Mac Application that can save/restore the Boot Camp independent from the rest of the disk partition hard physics is located in the Boot Camp partition.  Personally, I use Symantec Norton Ghost to create a Ghost Image of the Boot Camp partition as a backup to be used in a scenario of recovery after a disaster and then keep my user data that resides on the saved Windows file system on a regular basis.  My normal file based Virtual Machine are saved on my file server and this is done automatically via my own programs/scripts that run during the night or I do manual backups as and when necessary.

  • The Task Manager > start > "there is no startup item to display? What is happening with my system?

Long story short say, I just refresh my PC because it is having problem at the start of the system.

After having updated the system and install a few programmes and I realized the BOOT parameters (Task Manager > startup) indicates "there is no startup item to display. I mean, it's crazy isn't?

Someone help, please help, what can I do to make the START to return to normal settings?

    Thank you in advance!

Having the same problem.  The 'start' in the Task Manager tab is empty, even though I checked that there are indeed elements in the key of HKCU\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run as well as in HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run key.

For some reason any the Task Manager no longer shows nothing in the Startup tab.

I've learned since this tab can be quite finicky.  For example, delete the startup of your local directory of programs folder can cause to return empty.

    I had deleted this folder:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Once, I restored the folder, the start in the Task Manager tab started working again.

  • The file system on which "/ Users/SterlingButters/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/Boot Camp.vmwarevm' lies is very low on free space."

I get the following error message when I try to start my VM and I don't know why, I have repaired permissions and I have about 50 GB of spare on the partition. It was great to work for a long time and the only thing I can think of, that I have done before, was until I started getting the error message I mounted the BootCamp partition and moved the files into it, then dismantled. I looked towards the top of the topic online and don't have much, (I usually are not) then I came to the experts for help. So, really, I just need to be able to start up in my VM without the error message, THANKS!

This error has nothing to do with Boot camp as far as I know. Your mac partition is running out of free space. To resolve this issue, you must first remove file from Mac partition.

For starters, I wud you suggest to empty the trash., remove files from the downloads folder. delete the old files, movies, music, photos etc... choice is up to you.

Please launch disk utility (/ applications/utilities) and check the free space of Mac HD.

  • Aspire ES1-731, startup very slow upward

A new machine, have Mozilla browser... Find much slower start than the series E5 - 571, which is a little more expensive. Problem: there is a startup program that drags the whole process. It takes some minutes. I did the following: categorize any task not important start-up as non-priority; McAfee has a bad habit (such as AVast!) of hard immediately from the HD to 100% occupancy. Disabled scan started upward.

Immediate disabling Scan at startup and even disable AV does not resolve the issue. Looking at the Task Manager, there is a host program that is initiated. What is it? It takes just as long to start with LAN disconnected, so I assume that the procesessor continues with TSR programs.

Even with Hardware acceleration switch makes no difference. Doing the simplest things.

If I bought a laggard with a slower processor; or someone else got sim behaviors? E5-571 series was pretty darn fast.

Thanks for the responses... but I made my way... because the laptop crashed under warranty... I took it to where I bought it; only to be informed within 3 weeks... (Acer products are so rude?) While it was cheaper to clean HD 100% clean, knock out the boot sectors (copies saved before, even if it is on the motherboard) and reinstall windows 10 without attachments of ACER and all other patter and the absurd cortana, the Add-ons that don't work on multilingual machines. It took a full day, but the result is back to basics, a much faster machine; and child's play to use. I can recommend to other budget users, if known best from the sytem complex, to remove all that start programs are not necessary, but beware the Windows 10 programmers have deceived by the bits from other programs such as office for the program Win 10-cleaning function.

Be sure to powerful how forage with Win 10... It's pretty things undebuggable.

  • No internet connection AFTER startup, but only works during the boot.

    Hi all

Have a Win XP MCE (Media Center Edition) Dell laptop running.  I can only connect to internet when the system is even start, and I click on the shortcut to IE or Firefox. Once the system completes the startup it connects me to the internet WITHOUT problem & with good signal and good connection speeds.  System connect wirelessly through a Linksys router.

If I left the initialization of the system ended up - and I'm trying to connect to IE or Firefox - the hourglass appears for a minute and then disappears and I get no connection!

This means that I must always start the internet connection while system is always initialize, and if I end the connection I get only back to restart system in place and opening connection when appear the icons on the desktop for IE or Firefox!

I am puzzled by this and have no idea what to do to solve the problem!
    TNX a lot!

    Hello

    • What were the changes made before the issue occur?

Verify that if the problem exists in Mode safe mode with networking, if the computer works as expected in mode safe mode with networking, and then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.
    a. refer to the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    b. it is a possibility that there is a startup program that is launched with a command line and it appears.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

I have windows vista 32-bit. I want to open the start of changing the programs under control panel. When I clik above, it is you cannot find C:\Program said.  Also, when I start my computer and everything is loaded to the top, a windo error appears and says, he could load c:\users\Alix\AppData\Roaming| NTDOSQ.dll

Before to try this I'm about to tell you to set a system restore point.

Your problem seems to be an incorrect entry in the registry.  There is a startup item whose path contains a space (the space between "Program" and "Files" in "Program Files" and the path is not cited.  Press Windows key + R.  In the open field, type

    Regedit

Press ENTER.  In the left pane, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, then Microsoft, then Windows, then CurrentVersion.  Select run.  In the right pane, you should see the elements that run at startup.  Make sure that any value that contains a path containing spaces quotes the path.  Fix all the entries by double clicking on it in the right pane to open them.  You should check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as well.  The same folder under this hive contains also start values.  You can even see the NTDOSQ. The DLL value it.  I searched this DLL and there is nothing I could find on the subject, so I don't know if his legitimate or not.

I have a laptop model Dell Inspiron N5110 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit.  I have Norton Security Suite running - seems to be normal.  When I started my pc this morning, I got the dreaded blue screen of death.  A window will appear which indicates that there is a startup problems and offers several options to correct the startup problem.  One option is to run a startup repair program.  I tried and failed, then it has proposed restoring to a previous date program.  It does not work.  He suggested then reload the Windows program by providing more options of Windows rereloading.  I'll try the drive backuo system I created when I got the new computer-, but then, for reasons unknown, my pc suddenly decided to restart all of himself and it started normally.  Happy, happy.  But then a window pops up that says my computer has a device problem that has been identified as "ROOT\LEGACY_BHDRVX64\0000" she added that "BHDRVX64" was absent, does not, or that he needed a driver. Okay now my pc works normally, but I'm afraid to turn my pc off because this problem seems to be associated with start-up. »

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. 1 TB external hard disks around $ 70 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

  • Computer laptop MSI cannot go beyond the BIOS at startup

    Hello world!

I'm trying to fix computer MSI laptop of my roommate (I don't have access to this right now, but I'll post the pattern later) which initializes more. He said he picked up the phone and moved to a different location on his desk before encountering this problem. When you turn on the laptop, the MSI and other logos appear. According to my roommate, the function keys to access the BIOS settings usually appear shortly after turning on the power, however they do not appear and the system never moves past this white screen of the BIOS. The motherboard doesn't give any beeps or other diagnostic codes. Here's what I did in an effort to fix it until now:
    • Took a CD - RW in the optical drive (there is no boot sector and the optical drive has priority boot).
    • Disassemble the laptop and re sitting 3 sticks of RAM, for a total of 12 GB. One of the sticks seems to have a small spot on one of the contacts, and I removed it by rubbing lightly with a gum pink pencil.
Unfortunately, we have not made any progress, and the problem persists as described. Normally I would Flash the BIOS at this stage, but since there is no startup options, what else could be?
Note: the dual-boots Windows 8 (primary) and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, system with the GRUB bootloader used for the selection of the OS.
Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello

If you can't even get into the bios, you need to look in the manual for a CMOS\Bios 'Clear' or the 'Reset' button or the rider...

If you can get into the bios, make sure that the graphics card is set up correctly...

Some machines have a CPU\GPU with an additional AMD or NVidia graphic chip combo...

The machine may be trying to use the bad.

Try to remove EVERYTHING except one that the memory sticks, and one by one try them individually...

Also try to isolate a possible bad slot trying a few sticks of different in each slot individually.

Well, it seems that existing Boot Camp Virtual Machine has been migrated from another Mac to Mac hence can this bundle of support.  So there is no way, this may work as a Machine virtual Boot Camp, where it of just a meta-data Virtual Machine pointing to the physical installation and running on a Virtual Machine, can work on the real Mac, she founded the and not a single one of its migrated to.

  • Odd - reboot has really a stop, and al.

I have a MacBook Pro with a couple, 3 really, questions and I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on what is happening.

A friend gave me his mid 2009 MacBook Pro model 5.5 because it didn't work well for him once he replaced the whole entire lid.  The original was seriously cracked and it replaces itself.

He told me that the screen turns off after 5 to 10 minutes of use and the fan ran all the time, so he thought it was time to replace it so he gave me the laptop.  It is currently running 10.6.8.

After using for a few days, I have determined that the battery is very low and was causing me the laptop stop after a few minutes of use, even with the laptop plugged.  I think that the battery was in a bad state that it was draining the power even if it was plugged.  I unplugged the battery and just having the charger plugged and now the MBP stays on all the time.

It's that has left me speechless now that I need help on other issues.

    1. the fan runs all the time, and I hear all the time.  As soon as you press the power button on the fan gets to what is perhaps not at full speed, but it is significant, 3,000 (?) rpm of maybe.  Until the operating system is already started, before the bong never rings, until the screen logo gray Apple, the fan works.  I did the reset SMC and LANDAU.  Wifi in the menu bar icon says "No card installed Airport", which is probably a result of installing the cover itself.  The replacement cover, he got a person had inside Airport card or it didn't connect the cables when you fix the cover to the case.  I wonder if it can be related to that.  Any ideas?

    2. a kernel_task works with high CPU all the time.  It starts about 2 or 3 minutes after logging into his account and is used about 90% CPU according to activity monitor.  In safe mode, it works only 3.4%, so something is raising with a normal startup.  There are no startup item and any current application running when I see that.  Should I look for something in the Extensions folder (not sure what to look for), or the LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folder (ditto)?  How can I determine what is the cause?

    3. restart acts as Shutdown.  No matter how to choose "Restart", within their account or when you connect, the computer stops and never restarts.  When I installed Snow Leopard and said he had to turn it back on, it does not restart, it stop and I had to be able to save.  What is the cause?

I erased the disc and did a re-install Snow Leopard costs, but there is no change to these questions.  I'll have to ask him how he cracked his original screen.  There is no evidence of the abandonment of the laptop, but who knows what might have happened.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this laptop, but if anyone has any ideas on the three mentioned above, I'd be happy to hear from you.

  • bootcamp/windows issues

    Hi all

I gave a chance of 5 apple support reps to answer this question and still cannot be resolved so I hope you guys can help.

I'm on the last machine of iMac (21.5 inch, 4K retina display) with operating system up-to-date. I tried to install windows with the bootcamp assistant. I belong to users who need a USB drive connected to it.

Machine made all the copy of the files of my ISO file that is on my local drive, but when it restarts to start installing windows, he went in a small window about 2 inches of width in the middle of the screen. I managed to make the first steps, including the seizure of the product code. When I got to the screen where it shows the installation discs for Windows, there is no bootcamp drive! I couldn't use the other readers had to cancel. Have made several times now and always after the round trip in a single volume on the computer (and therefore remove the drive bootcamp). And Yes, there was a training camp in car, as I could see it in disk utility, but with no data on this.

Really grateful if someone could help me determine why the configuration screen becomes small, and also why he can't find my bootcamp drive. As training camp did things that I can't really find anything I have hurt.

Is it possible to postpone the reindexing of Spotlight on the system startup? Please do advice generate me SSD to three computers.
