ThinApp Citrix Receiver 3.2

Hi guys,.

I am trying to create a package of ThinApp of Citrix receiver for Windows 3.2.

Capture of Machines:

-Windows 7 x 86 SP1 with VMware ThinApp 4.7.1 installed;

-Full administrator rights;

-Nothing installed, windows, Defender updates and these services are disabled.

During the capture, I open the Citrix Receiver, close the in receiver and then reopen the receiver. Then do a postscan and capture application.

The captured application is copied in a VM from MS Windows 7 x 86 clean.

I tried the following parameters:

-VirtualizeExternalOutOfProcessCOM = 0

-AllowExternalKernelModeServices = 1
-AllowExternalProcessModifications = 1
-AllowUnsupportedExternalChildProcesses = 0
Blending mode for \%ProgramFilesDir%\Citrix
Eventvwr of Windows shows the following error message:
The description for event ID 0 source plugin self-service is not found. Either the component that triggers this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event is on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information has been included in the event:

Thanks in advance,
Krishan

I packed just version 3.2 uses Windows XP and checked the features using a clean Windows XP with IE6 using demo.citrixcloud.net. After that, I moved the package to Win7 and IE8. Some components has downloaded in the sandbox, but once this is done, it worked as expected...

I does no actual customizations... Just created an entry Point to local IE so I could run IE with the bits of Citrix.

  • after upgrade to macOS sierra cannot connect to citrix receiver apps

I use Citrix receiver apps to make my day to day work. The same citrix apps are also accessible via a web browser (Safari) and everything worked fine until the version IE Capitan.

After upgrade to macOS sierra I can't you connect/launch of citrix apps. I tried with receiver and citrix via web browser as well, but its not connecting.

Is anyone else facing the same issue or know the fix.

Earlier, I thought that maybe some problem of connectivity, but after a lot of troubleshooting it still did not work and shows the same error "failed to initialize." (attached image).

Then clicked on suddenly to mind that I just upgraded my MacBook OS. In order to confirm if his new problem of macOS or anything else, I have installed Windows 10 on vmware fusion and tried to connect to citrix receiver and it worked only! without any operation of additional troubleshooting, it is confirmed that the issue is again macOS.

So as a temporary workaround, you can use virtual windows OS on top of the operating system Mac OS page sierra to launch citrix applications.

But apple needs to fix in the Sierra.

This seems to be, in part, a browser problem.

Have you tried, since El Capitan or Sierra, another browser?

And it would move from Citrix to make their applications compatible with OSX.

Three suggestions based on the experience of other users with Firefox 30 Citrix:

    (1) change the permissions of the plugin.

Firefox 30 past most of the plugins "Always turned on" - allowing any site to use - to "ask to activate" - requiring sites to get your permission to use them. For some plugins, this setting is not working properly and you need to restore.

To do this, open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search for Citrix and change to ' activate ' "always enable". Then try Citrix again in a new window (or exit and restart Firefox).

    (2) If you have an older version of the plugin, you may need to be updated.

See: Firefox 30 will not organize the Application of ICA when you use Citrix receiver 4

    (3) check that Citrix content using the desired plugin/application.

I am to discover that anyone who has updated recent firefox 30.0 is not able to open the Citrix Receiver. Opens the window of the application, she will not open the citrix receiver to open FM. I have several people that has updated and can not open FM. Me too, has just updated today to 30.0 and now does not open FM earlier in the morning, I was able to open and use Firefox 29,0/FM.

I disabled all plugins... He's going to open a pop window to 'Open with' Citrix Receiver (default). And yes - it will open our applications now.
    So now...
Firefox or citrix must adapt. Please fix so that I don't have to disable plugins app of 200 users. Thank you

  • ThinPro 4.3 - Citrix Receiver 13 - use HPDM to install certificates?

    Hello

I have an existing environment of about 1200 of the T610.  and we are migrating to a new citrix farm.  on customers now receiving light is 12.  I'm moving to Citrix receiver 13 and install new certificates.

Is it possible to install certificates using HPDM?  I tried options command line with "high-cert-mgr", but for some stupid reason, he began as a script of hpdm because he needs an x environment.

I tried to copy them down to the thin client, putting the new cert in the directory/usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts and run c_rehash on the directory, but I always get the certificate error.

What I am doing wrong, everybody has it works?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards, Fred

    I thought about it.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

You must copy the certificate to PEM format in 3 locations (with the extension .crt)

    / Writable/usr/lib/icaclient/keystore/cacerts / *. CRT

    Writable/home/user/.freerdp/certs/*. CRT

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates / *. CRT

Then, you create a link in/writable/etc/ssl/certs (with the .pem extension) of the cert file located in

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates

    Then, you need to run

    / writable/etc/ssl/certs c_rehash

    in a work order.

    complicated to say the least.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

    Thank you

    Hi John,.

Please visit the Microsoft Community forums and post your query.

I understand that you need Citrix receiver to access a virtual office surface pro.

You can use Citrix Receiver for Windows 8/RT to access published applications and desktops of Windows 8 and Windows RT devices. You can download and install Citrix Receiver for Windows 8/RT of the store of Windows applications.

Follow the steps below to install Citrix receiver.

  • Someone at - it Citrix Receiver works on Windows RT

I have Windows RT, I want to use it for work, but cannot cause there is no available in store, HAPPY VPN! With Microsoft to launch RT with decision-making supported VPN.

Citrix, is the alternative?, someone at - it work?

Microsoft needs to address this issue with Citrix or professional users will not use the surface. It's amazing that Citrix/Microsoft are unable to sustain the same level of backward compatibility, such as the iPad. Assume that business users will be better served sticking to the iPad which offers connectivity to full distance without need costly updates/changes to Enterprise Server systems.

  • What is the file named citrix?

I noticed a file on my files program called citrix. It was created in2012. My computer is a windows vista basic family bought in 2008. I check the file and it was empty. could someone explain what this file is used for and why it is empty. I know I have it load not down on my computer. should I keep the file or delete it.

Citrix is the name of a company that makes software (such as Microsoft Windows and Office and other software).

Citrix may have been installed on your computer when you used one of their products, such as GoToMeeting to participate in a conference meeting in line or Citrix Receiver for you to connect to your school to remote or network.

In all cases, it is harmless.  You can remove it or keep.  If you choose to remove it, I recommend going in the Control Panel, choose "Uninstall a program" and detached in this way to ensure that the uninstall is completed successfully.  Simply delete the file/folder can leave other traces.

  • Problems with memory - error install Citrix Wise

    Hi all

We have some Wyse terminals that have problems when sending through scanned documents.

It seems to max out of memory, accidents so that software is scanning.

We seek to improve the flash/ram but would prefer not to as it is expensive.

The only software that runs on the Wyse is Citrix Receiver, then installing the software remotely. It works in time, but generally it will pull the memory max.

Is there a minimum specification that Remote Scan requires to run properly?

The machines have 4gig Flash / 2gig Ram

    See you soon,.

    Dan

The problem is actually with the images themselves using the memory. RemoteScan application requires very little resources, but when a scan is completed, the analysis is stored in memory before she gets the transfer on the network. So, there are a few things you can do to help here:

If you do several pages, go remotescan settings and make sure that the 'continue to analyze when sending pages"is NOT checked. This will prevent remotescan queues a bunch of scanned pages while you wait for the images to get transfer on the network.

The other thing you can do is to reduce the size of the action of the scanned images. Unless you need color images, remember to use 8-bit grayscale or B & W scans. And unless you require high resolution, use 200 dpi or less. This will help keep the size of the smaller images, so they do not have the memory resources on the thin client.

  • Contradictory versions of Citrix

    The Situation:
We have client computers running Windows 7 Professional SP1 with Fujitsu scanners connected via USB with Services Terminal Server RemoteScan to Citrix version 9.714.0.0 installed so that our end users can scan documents in a system access via RDP. These same customers have Citrix receiver 14.1 and Internet Explorer 9 completely patched also installed. End users use Citrix Receiver to access system from a third party external to our network called RouteMatch (http://routematch.com/). To access the RouteMatch software end user connects to a Web site and then connects to the Citrix of RouteMatch server using the Citrix Receiver plug-in.

    Problem 1:
What I noticed, given that we have implemented RouteMatch (almost a year now), is that when ANY program needs to be modified (e.g. installed, uninstalled or reinstalled) on these computers with Citrix Receiver both RemoteScan software installed, Citrix Receiver will stop working. "Stoppage of work", I mean when double click on icon RouteMatch in the website of asp2.routematch.com, the 'start' of Citrix window bar gets about 1/4 of the way through the window, stops, and then this window is replaced by another window with a message of statement "application is not available" or something similar.

    Workaround for problem 1 solution:
I uninstall and reinstall the Citrix Receiver on each PC software. (In the last six months I had to reinstall the Citrix Receiver six times on all PCs).

    Troubleshooting problem 1:
Trying to permanently solve this problem I made so that new versions of the Citrix Receiver and RemoteScan Terminal Services for software Citrix (without a 'swap') are installed on the PC. Also, since other computers with Citrix Receiver ONLY installed for RouteMatch do not have this problem when I change another program on PC, I wonder if there is a strange conflict going on between Citrix Receiver Dell RemoteScan Terminal Services and Citrix software because the two programs are associated with Citrix.
I contacted also supported RouteMatch. They agree that there is probably a conflict between the Citrix Receiver and RemoteScan software. They believe that the problem 1 and problem 2 (see below) are symptoms of the same problem. Offered it a potential solution (see Troubleshooting for issue 2), which I put in place, our end users have tested and has not resolved the problem 2. In the same conversation that had me to implement the potential solution, the tech also recommended I have contact the Support of RemoteScan (which I do here) and see if your support team, or the members of the forum community, has had an experience with RemoteScan and Citrix Receiver contradictory between them.

    Problem 2:
In the last month RouteMatch started crashing randomly on those computers with Citrix Receiver both RemoteScan Terminal Services from Dell, Citrix software installed. By "randomly crashing", I mean, usually, but not always (sometimes 10 minutes later, sometimes never), within 2 minutes after the newspapers involved in the application of RouteMatch (once they have successfully logged into the asp2.routematch.com site, double-click on the icon RouteMatch and Citrix Receiver starts correctly) a window indicating "Citrix HDX engine has stopped working" is displayed. The only option is to click on the button "close the program". Once the "Close program" button pressed the RouteMatch application closes.

    Troubleshooting problem 2:
I confirmed that this problem occurred recently, that doesn't happen on computers that have installed Citrix Receiver of Dell RemoteScan Terminal Services and Citrix software. Because this problem occurs in the application of RouteMatch, and no change for the Citrix Receiver RemoteScan Terminal Services and Citrix software took place, I recommended that our end user, who is the Manager RouteMatch contact RouteMatch support.
After the end user and I contacted RouteMatch tech supports, the tech and I ended up installing an older version of Citrix Receiver (version 10.1) technology said has been a stable solution proven for the majority of customers who are running in this error message. After installation and have our users to test, the error message persists. In the same conversation that had me to install the old version of Citrix Receiver, the tech also recommended that I have contact the Support of RemoteScan (which I do here) and see if your support team, or the members of the forum community, has had an experience with RemoteScan and Citrix Receiver contradictory between them.

NOTE 1: My theory of Dell RemoteScan Terminal Services and Citrix Receiver for software Citrix is exactly that: a theory. There are other programs installed on computers with the installed RemoteScan software (e.g. Fujitsu Scanner drivers and related software) that are not installed on computers that do not have the RemoteScan software installed. My theory is based on circumstantial evidence, 10 years of experience in troubleshooting I.T. problems and the fact that both pieces of software associated with Citrix. So, if anyone has a better theory or a solution that does not involve RemoteScan software, I'm willing to try.

NOTE 2: I know that our RemoteScan software is a permutation/upgrade that is optimized for Windows 7. Because of my theory of Citrix Receiver and RemoteScan contradictory, I asked about this swap with Dell a few months ago. So, I also know that this swap will cost more than $1,000. My problem is that I have no evidence that the current version of the software RemoteScan we use is causing this conflict with Citrix Receiver, so I have no way to convince management to spend money for swap/upgrade of RemoteScan software. In addition, it would be an embarrassed me and our I.T. Department if management spend money to swap RemoteScan software and problems remained after the swap.

NOTE 3: RouteMatch support persons have no experience in troubleshooting a potential conflict between Citrix Receiver and RemoteScan. I will leave my support contacts at RouteMatch know that the old version of Citrix Receiver does not solve the problem 2. I will also continue to help me solve this problem, as much as possible, and if I don't find a solution through them I'll post to this topic.

Meanwhile, can anyone on this forum help me solve these problems?

Someone at - it members of the forum or support staff RemoteScan never race in this unit or a similar problem?

Does anyone have proof that swapping RemoteScan software will solve this problem?

Yes, RemoteScan upgrade can actually solve the problem. If you wish, please connect to our website and download the trial on the post to see if this new version works for you.

My users on my citrix farm launch the RDP application (MSTSC.exe) in the Web Interface to connect to their desktop computer Windows Vista/7 to work.  The task bar they see initially are the taskbar of their PC at home instead of the taskbar to their work PC.  They can minimize then maximize demand and (most of the time) corrects the problem temporarily, until they connect to next time.

I contacted Microsoft and they had me install a few patches that didn't say it was directly for this problem, but to go ahead and install it.  It made no difference.  I installed the latest version of Citrix Hotfix (2) and a few other Citrix offers Microsoft patches.  Which none has solved this problem.
We get the same results if we use the latest version of the Citrix Receiver customer or not.  I saw a video on YouTube that shows the problem of taskbar RDP and I don't think they were going thru Citrix in their video, so I don't think that as a matter of Citrix.
In Citrix I can set the screen resolution to a percentage less than 100% (window) so that users can see their full screen and the taskbar and taskbar of their PC at home just under the window, but if I do that, my two monitors users will not get this feature.
