Think BlackBerry Smartphones to do a unlocked ATT PRIV

Hello

I'm looking into a unlocked ATT PRIV (am on TMO U.S.) and a few questions. After much googling, it seems that if I get a PRIV ATT unlocked online, it will come with Lollipop. Assuming that I am capable of properly updated OTA to MM will I still have the crapware installed ATT or I now have essentially a PRIVATE GSM unlocked without customizations ATT that now gets all the updates directly from BB. Are there any other gotcha I should know?

I am running a Nexus 5 X

Thank you

From what I discovered, when you switch to the live of BlackBerry Marshmallow, it gets rid of the att bloatware. I think you must have installed T-Mobile Sim Card.

    Hello

    Two copies:

No need to post the same question twice... you were provided with 100% accurate information in this other thread. This site is NOT a place for official updates on anything... refer:

You must as KB says... wait and keep control of the KB for the updates. If you want to push harder, your channel is to push to ATT, since it is they who are in control of this last stage of the cycle version operating system.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones GPS, the 8300 and ATT

I got my 8300 about a year previously and has waited until now to install the Garmin Mobile for Blackberry.

Cingular says it had GPS 'ability' and I thought that it meant "integrated."  I paid $100 for the Garmin

Download and got the version for phones WITH GPS.  Naturally he has no satellite.

It is then that I discovered that I have the 8300 and not the 8310.  In addition, I had no Blackberry Maps

featured and was ready to download/install, when I noticed the statement that IT DOES NOT

ON ATT.  So, now I'm here with a bad brain trying to figure out how to get out of this trouble before

I fed the rest of my money to Garmin or ATT or the PERSON, to get a less-than-perfect GPS Setup.

I could get the Bluetooth GPS receiver, someone else purchased for about $60. Garmin Mobile software

is an OF WHAT GPS with integrated phone and I noticed somewhere that it does not work for phones receive signals

a Bluetooth receiver.  To stay with Garmin, I have to buy their package for about $150, which includes a

receiver and the software to go with it.  Using THIS plan, buy one once, there seems to be no. $ 9.99/month

subscription to process. (I'm wrong, or am I missing something here?)

I could get the receiver for $60 as shown above and subscribe to Telenav GPS stuff that came with

My att phone. I downloaded the new maps of them today, but I am not at all impressed with their quality.

I also think that it is outrageous to pay the subscription of $9.99 / month to something I have trouble reading.

Then... I guess I wonder if I should cut my losses here and go get the Garmin Nuvi that someone else

has said was excellent for car navigation?  I like really use my 8300 for everything and have GPS it would sweep.  But I don't know if I combine a GPS system on the phone that he would give me the configuration of navigation that I would.

There you have it. Opinions and advice are appreciated. BJ

"One thing that made me hesitate to go to the BlueTooth receiver was the suspicion that he has not used the satellites, but uses rather server signals, or receiving cell tower." "I ordered the receiver Globalsat BT BlueTooth - 359C last weekend; I'll let you know how it works. »

    .

    .

It works very well... and really uses satellites.  With Blackberry Maps, the dashboard for the navigation shows the speed you're going on the left, the right direction and a satellite icon in the middle with a number, which I guess is the strength of the signal.  The unit works as well for the location with Google maps, too.  Note: the key to the Bluetooth passcode is 0000.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help to unlock my BlackBerry 9810

I have a BlackBerry Torch 9810 of AT & T. The phone keeps asking me the PUK code. Please help me find the PUK code for my torch 9810. I can't access anything, not even the menu for my BlackBerry 9810!

Need help to remove the PUK code!

I am totally fed up with AT & T as they rob me of my money. I need network unlock my phone contract AT & T I need code unlock and the PUK code. If I don't get the unlockcodes I'll have to throw my BlackBerry Torch 9810 for nothing!

When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" appears on the screen of the device:

    1. Connect to myAT & T.
    2. Select Wireless in the myAT & T tab at the top of the page.
    3. Select my phone/device.

    4. click on unlock the SIM card.

5 follow the instructions on the page pop up.

    Unlock the SIM card

    1. Enter the eight-digit on the phone PUK code, then press OK/Yes.

Note: Some users of Motorola phones must enter * 05 * if "enter PUK code" is not already displayed. After entering * 05 *, enter the eight digit PUK code and press OK.

    2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

3 re - enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

    4. If the codes have been entered correctly, the phone is ready for use.

Now get rid of AT & T...

It is also possible by using an unlock code. For BlackBerry is the unlock code is also known as the MEP2 code. First you try to call the AT & T customer service. Give them the IMEI number of your BlackBerry Torch 9810. They will provide you the unlock code (MEP2) for your BlackBerry Torch 9810. But this does not always work.

Most of the carriers will give you the unlock code for your BB. Some have policies that vary from having an active account in good standing (good payment history) to have been a customer for 90 days or more. You can buy the unlock code from various suppliers. Unlock codes are unique to each BlackBerry. They cannot be used with a BB to another. Do not purchase your unlock code from a friend who has an and said that the code was for his BB. Unlock codes can last from 4 hours to 10 days to get it. A few BlackBerrys simply cannot be unlocked for various reasons: the IMEI number is not found in the RIM base, or the aircraft was a pre-release, not-to-be-sold device.

The best way to unlock your Blackberry device is buy release from a trusted provider. Search the internet for unlocking mobile phone Web sites. You will encounter a thousand websites that can do this. Choose which ever you like. Do not price comparisons and unlocking instructions. Check again the number of model-network to which your phone is locked and the IMEI number before ordering. If you have made mistakes in these details these people will never give you refund! One last thing, before ordering ask them about the conditions for a full refund in the case of an error code! Think and make a wise decision. I personally bought the code for my Blackberry 8900 curve unlock genie.com. This is because they have good reviews on most of the cell phone forums.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Will enjoy full unlocked Canadian BBs of BB in Ireland data services?

    Hi all

After the advice of JSanders I gained release of BerryReview for my Telus BB devices.  Without being a foreigner, however, it is impossible to verify if the unlocked devices will be used as planned in Ireland.

My reason for questioning the advice of JSander, it's that I read on other forums that the telephone can be unlocked, but not data services.  Another tip is that data services do not work in the new region if the "service books" don't are not installed (whatever that means).

So, my question for the intelligentsia is - how can I make sure my 9800 unlocked TELUS and 9630 will receive comprehensive data BB services, when new SIMS are installed in Ireland?

    Thank you.  D.

One thing you learn quickly to these forums: If JSanders says that it's going to work, going to work.

When you try to unlock a phone, you can unlock its full potential, not only a couple of functions.  If the phone is compatible on the network of the new company i.e. it was built to use this carrier technology, so all you have to do is to check that you have a plan of appropriate data (BIS, or BlackBerry Internet Service).  Once you have in place with the new carrier, you're ready.

With regard to the "service books", they are software that tells your phone instructions, including how to manage the data that moves through it.  BlackBerry phones work differently from other smartphone brands and require special instructions called Service books.  The service books are automatically downloaded to your phone, once you have subscribed to BIS, and you recorded your phone on the network.  This happens as soon as you switch on your phone with the new SIM in there while you are within the network of the new company.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is my Pearl unlocked?

I'm not sure but I think I have unlocked my 8110 Pearl a couple of years.  Is it possible that I can say?  I no longer use the phone, but I used with AT & T. If it is not unlocked, how can I do then?

To determine whether your BlackBerry is already "unlocked":
    1. on your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card.
    2. in this screen type MEPD (see note below) on your keyboard. A new menu will appear.
    * If your BlackBerry has a keyboard SureType (71xx, 81xx, 91xx devices) you will need to double-click the P keys real entries become M E P P D.
    3. search for the network in the list.
    4. If your device is "unlocked", we should have disabled or inactive. If it says active, it is still blocked by this carrier.

If you need instructions on how to unlock your BlackBerry for use on a
carrier other than that to which it is brand, check out BlackBerry

and read this link for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones all linguistics to "unlocked" device

    Hello

I bought a BB smartphone directly from RIM and, therefore, no specific carrier, I want to add support the Chinese language unit, however, the version of BlackBerry Desktop Software available for download from RIM site only support "multilingual", not "any language:, my questio is where can I download a version of 'whole language' BlackBerry Desktop Software from blackberry.com?" Thank you.

Yes... they both should be deleted. You must understand why you have insufficient rights on your computer to remove this... If you use a CMD (DOS) window, try selecting it from the menu (it should be inside the accessories), but instead of normal click, right click, and select 'run as administrator '. If you do not run as administrator available, then your user account on your computer has insufficient rights even do this... need you an account on your computer with adequate rights.

  • BlackBerry smartphones identifying a really unlocked 8320

I recently bought a used version of US T-Mobile 8320, but it does not recognize my SIM card overseas. • BlackBerry Smartphones have need to backup my Priv

Well, unfortunately I need to return it and get my Priv replaced due to a fault with one of the keys on my keyboard (SPACEBAR)...

Before I do well, I make sure that I backed up everything - Apps (no problem - Google has them), Contacts, password Keeper, music, photos, etc.  With OS10, it was easy to all of the backup device, wipe the phone and put the most recent backup on...

In any case, can someone walk me through how to make sure that I have everything backed up so that I can get my replacement up and works as well as possible.  Thank you!!

    Replying to my own post

So, all is well in my world of BB private now.  I thought that... I think it's all saved (via Google, my Email, etc.) and my contacts, etc., may be reported to my Z30...

Went to Bell - nice to confirm by pressing a different private my misfortunes of space was not only in my head.  The clerk was awesome... had me running with another private in half an hour.  She is happy I was out... said permutation that the space bar as it was would lead his nuts too.

I think that BB needs to smooth out the experience for us users of OS10.  Maybe we'll get a 'connection' of all kinds in the future.

  • 'A 2fa' blackBerry smartphones application does not work on Priv

The Playstore Google has an application name "2FA One" by 2FA Inc. that will generate the OTP tokens for multi-factor authentication. The problem is that Priv do not set up the application to make it work. Steps to reproduce:

    1. launch the application (it will give you a screen "Thank you for installing..").

    2. press to continue.

    3. Enter the URL of the server to which you will connect.

    4. press to continue. This step WILL NOT WORK for me.

If you enter an incorrect URL in step 3, it will give you an error that it cannot find the server. If you enter the right pair, it will allow you to enter a PIN for security access. The problem is that the "Continue" button does not work. I was wondering if it's just me or all privileges.

The app works on my LG phone. I tried it on the default built Priv AT & T, and the AAE599 build without success.

After the Marshmallow, the application now works.

Hello and welcome to the community!

BBs are very secure - only the password created by the user can unlock the BB. There is no password 'master' or 'ignore' to do so... only the password created by the user can do.

But, you can maybe in luck still... refer:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

No not the password the maximum time will initiate a WIPE on the device, which is part of these important instructions. But other measures in these instructions are also important to... by the seller and the buyer. Not well fill ALL risks instructions making the BB not fully usable by the buyer (you).
