BlackBerry Smartphones all linguistics to "unlocked" device

Hello

I bought a BB smartphone directly from RIM and, therefore, no specific carrier, I want to add support the Chinese language unit, however, the version of BlackBerry Desktop Software available for download from RIM site only support "multilingual", not "any language:, my questio is where can I download a version of 'whole language' BlackBerry Desktop Software from blackberry.com?" Thank you.

Yes... they both should be deleted. You must understand why you have insufficient rights on your computer to remove this... If you use a CMD (DOS) window, try selecting it from the menu (it should be inside the accessories), but instead of normal click, right click, and select 'run as administrator '. If you do not run as administrator available, then your user account on your computer has insufficient rights even do this... need you an account on your computer with adequate rights.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Will enjoy full unlocked Canadian BBs of BB in Ireland data services?

    Hi all

After the advice of JSanders I gained release of BerryReview for my Telus BB devices.  Without being a foreigner, however, it is impossible to verify if the unlocked devices will be used as planned in Ireland.

My reason for questioning the advice of JSander, it's that I read on other forums that the telephone can be unlocked, but not data services.  Another tip is that data services do not work in the new region if the "service books" don't are not installed (whatever that means).

So, my question for the intelligentsia is - how can I make sure my 9800 unlocked TELUS and 9630 will receive comprehensive data BB services, when new SIMS are installed in Ireland?

    Thank you.  D.

One thing you learn quickly to these forums: If JSanders says that it's going to work, going to work.

When you try to unlock a phone, you can unlock its full potential, not only a couple of functions.  If the phone is compatible on the network of the new company i.e. it was built to use this carrier technology, so all you have to do is to check that you have a plan of appropriate data (BIS, or BlackBerry Internet Service).  Once you have in place with the new carrier, you're ready.

With regard to the "service books", they are software that tells your phone instructions, including how to manage the data that moves through it.  BlackBerry phones work differently from other smartphone brands and require special instructions called Service books.  The service books are automatically downloaded to your phone, once you have subscribed to BIS, and you recorded your phone on the network.  This happens as soon as you switch on your phone with the new SIM in there while you are within the network of the new company.

    See you soon.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones: vs email calendar default device

I'm new to the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my calendar. I have an email address to which I've implemented on the Blackberry. However, this email address doesn't have a calendar that are associated with (and I don't want it...). The calendar application has therefore all appointments under "Default device".

On the home screen, it shows not all appointments at all. However, when I go in the calendar app it shows all my appointments. I've selected the menu button, choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose "Default device" because the calendar is not associated with the email address.

When I go back to the home screen it still has nothing set appointments. I assume he's still associate the calendar with the email address. I do know that not everyone uses the calendar provided with e-mail addresses, right?

Also, when in the application calendar, after selecting "Default device", if I try to add an appointment he will add it to the calendar with the email address and not the "default device" calendar that I use with Outlook. If I need to open another post on this topic please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OK, here's what you need to do...

    1. download ALL your calendar in Outlook information. Make sure your correct calendar.

    2. then, basically, you will remove ALL your calendar on the BlackBerry information according to the instructions I'll post below.

    3. then, you set the address you want to see your calendar 'default' by the statement in the post above.

Then, everything should be good. I have been facing the problem while you are now and had to do all this as well. Painless.

(ignore the words 'AddressBook' in these instructions for you, but it all works the same).

If you encounter errors in your calendar or address book on your BlackBerry and you want to delete the entire address book (or calendar) base on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  • Convenient to blackBerry Smartphones, based on recommended experience device (f/w? /) s/w version (s) for all PC activities oriented the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630

Hey all the... I wonder if I can pick the brains of the people and get good advice re: practice based experience recommended device (f/w? /) s/w version (s) for all PC activities oriented the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630, including PC-resident s/w (pkgs) & USB / USB Serial drivers (on XP Pro SP3).

I will probably be wanting to improve various (f/w? /) components s/w after a hiatus of three years on the BB before... However, based on my own experience of technology, newer / more recent (f/w?) / s/w (pkgs) is (are) not always the best for the end user and, same can be limiting in some identifiable ways... I'm speaking in general terms here... so... it might be the last BB s/w is the absolute best way to go for my PC o/s and turn device platform... I'm just out there throwing this idea to make a educated to determine what updates to install and what level of version, in the case where the generalized suspicion that I have described above have no worth.

I don't have (or want) data enabled on the 9630, then, have screen capture or copied the text that he (like all the information in the Options > topic: "BlackBerry (R) 9630, smartphone (3G, CDMA), v5.0.0.419 (Platform 4.2.0.179)", 3G bands 1... "") ([and, or course, there is much more information on this screen...]) me (any suggestion or help on this front would be greatly appreciated) have so far escaped... perhaps the most relevant appliance version information required by the members of the forum to help me to decide this question also appear in my PC screenshots below.

Here's what I left over on my PC from my relationships with my BB Storm 9530 3 years ago:

    Thank you, FFF

Hello! Thanks for the clarification... they help greatly to understand your request. Here is my opinion:

    Frankenstien wrote:

In simpler terms... should I upgrade my TELUS Tour 9630 software (currently at: v5.0.0.419 [Platform 4.2.0.179] of the most currently available software, regardless of the version # / platform # which may be?)

Or, is it an advantage in the upgrade only to a certain level of version of BlackBerry OS on this particular device?

For your 9630, you're already on the last level of operating system that fate/Telus media. I don't know if other carriers have published anything more advanced, but you can read a very good discussion here:

Of after what I saw, I would assume that there is nothing 'new' than you... at least not officially... but you can dig through the portal to download official to validate the fact that:

Given that it's carriers who hold responsibility for the release of BB OS packages to their clients, this portal is indeed sorted first by carrier... so you must first dig to find out which carriers support your 9630 and then compare packages of OS coming to present each company support. Unfortunately, it is also the responsibility of carriers to release change log information, but too much of them is rather lax on this point. But this thread I linked to above has I think some very good information that could help you in your quest. You should also look for other threads here (and elsewhere) on similar topics.

And, I had to upgrade the driver USB BlackBerry / USB Serial Driver / Device Manager / Desktop Manager software on my XP Pro SP 3 PC to newer versions? (1st post screenshots all present the current version # s... this software was installed all around mid-2009)

Or, is there an advantage in upgrading only at certain levels of version of the BlackBerry software for each of the above elements... in the case of this particular device?

Desktop software does not care the specific device. On the contrary, it gives some capabilities that you choose. For example, if you need the ability to export your BB to CSV/ASCII, then you need to stay in the range of version 6 because this feature has been removed from version 7. Similarly, if you intend to synchronize your BB with a computer (-) office or PIM, you must make sure that you run a Desktop software version that is compatible with your PIM:

    • KB12268 Support for synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows

If none of those that are important and/or compatibility is fine with the latest version, it is often wiser to stick to the latest bug fixes, feature enhancements, etc. Is doesn't want to is not to say that people have no problems with the latest version through the Desktop board software on this site is confirm that pretty quickly! But, in general, there should be no harm/no foul to the use of the latest version of the with your BB desktop software.

In addition, it is always a good idea to also download and install on your PC the BB OS package that is actually running on your BB. This is a little personalized Desktop software so that it can better work with your specific environment of BB. You cannot choose which components within the desktop software you want to update (mentioning "point line" you did)... instead, you install the whole package, and it contains within everything there as 'in progress' based on the global version of the Desktop software package.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones after switch of the device to the same model, BB missing Apps (like cards and password keeper)

I had problems for a long time with my keyboard on my BB Bold 9900, so finally I was given a used to toggle Bold 9900. I have used the functionality of the switch device of BlackBerry Desktop (v7.1) software and was off and running on my 'new' "BOLD". Finally, I noticed that the cards and password keeper are missing on my new phone. I did a lot of digging through our corporate HelpDesk, phone call from mobile provider support, and if Google search (incl. various BlackBerry support forums). Nowhere is that I found a solution that worked.

A number of sources did the download card www.blackberry.com/ but that results in a message of "Opinion sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry Maps."

When I look in the Applications tab of BB Desktop Software, BlackBerry Maps is not listed (is not password keeper).

Two of my phones are running OS 7.1 Bundle 2840. Carrier SaskTel (part of the network of Bell Mobility).

    Any ideas?

From what you describe, something is not right when you installed/updated / switched devices. Thus, a clean reload of the OS would be the right thing to do. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones all 4 LEDs lit on VM-605 visor Bluetooth speaker

Unit has worked fine for almost a year. Am in the car this morning and all 4 lights were lit. I put it on the charger. Battery turned LED orange for a bit, then back to red. Never turned green.

What are all 4 LEDs constant average power? Is there a way I can reset this device? Should I just wait until the internal battery runs down completely?

    Thanks for any help,

    Marshall

Apparently, it is news to everyone.

I can tell you all that no combination of keys pressing/holding on the Visor speaker will change or disable the LED display. I can also say that almost anything can have do, no amount of charge will fix it.

That said, the only thing left to do is let it burn until the battery was empty and all the lights had been arrested. It's exactly what I did.

Then, I put it on the charger. He immediately begins a workload with the battery LED RED only. In 3.5hrs, charge finished with battery GREEN LED lit.

I turned on the unit and the British female voice said it to my phone. As nothing unusual happened. Make a call and everything worked normally.

Then, if all 4 LEDs on sun visor Bluetooth Speakerphone VM - 605 are light, let it go ahead and burn the dead battery. Then recharge and everything will be normal.

If the 4 LEDs lit is way of Blackberry to tell the user the battery is low, they should thought to allow loading instead of having to wait until the battery dies completely and THEN the device recharges immediate.

I have a BlackBerry Torch 9810 of AT & T. The phone keeps asking me the PUK code. Please help me find the PUK code for my torch 9810. I can't access anything, not even the menu for my BlackBerry 9810!

Need help to remove the PUK code!

I am totally fed up with AT & T as they rob me of my money. I need network unlock my phone contract AT & T I need code unlock and the PUK code. If I don't get the unlockcodes I'll have to throw my BlackBerry Torch 9810 for nothing!

When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" appears on the screen of the device:

    1. Connect to myAT & T.
    2. Select Wireless in the myAT & T tab at the top of the page.
    3. Select my phone/device.

    4. click on unlock the SIM card.

5 follow the instructions on the page pop up.

    Unlock the SIM card

    1. Enter the eight-digit on the phone PUK code, then press OK/Yes.

Note: Some users of Motorola phones must enter * 05 * if "enter PUK code" is not already displayed. After entering * 05 *, enter the eight digit PUK code and press OK.

    2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

3 re - enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

    4. If the codes have been entered correctly, the phone is ready for use.

Now get rid of AT & T...

It is also possible by using an unlock code. For BlackBerry is the unlock code is also known as the MEP2 code. First you try to call the AT & T customer service. Give them the IMEI number of your BlackBerry Torch 9810. They will provide you the unlock code (MEP2) for your BlackBerry Torch 9810. But this does not always work.

Most of the carriers will give you the unlock code for your BB. Some have policies that vary from having an active account in good standing (good payment history) to have been a customer for 90 days or more. You can buy the unlock code from various suppliers. Unlock codes are unique to each BlackBerry. They cannot be used with a BB to another. Do not purchase your unlock code from a friend who has an and said that the code was for his BB. Unlock codes can last from 4 hours to 10 days to get it. A few BlackBerrys simply cannot be unlocked for various reasons: the IMEI number is not found in the RIM base, or the aircraft was a pre-release, not-to-be-sold device.

The best way to unlock your Blackberry device is buy release from a trusted provider. Search the internet for unlocking mobile phone Web sites. You will encounter a thousand websites that can do this. Choose which ever you like. Do not price comparisons and unlocking instructions. Check again the number of model-network to which your phone is locked and the IMEI number before ordering. If you have made mistakes in these details these people will never give you refund! One last thing, before ordering ask them about the conditions for a full refund in the case of an error code! Think and make a wise decision. I personally bought the code for my Blackberry 8900 curve unlock genie.com. This is because they have good reviews on most of the cell phone forums.
