Hello
I recently got a HP notebook pc 14-r238TU 14 and tried to install a copy of Windows 7 ULTIMATE on it. Everything seemed to install fine apart from a device in the device as "controller PCI of communication Simple Manager."
I have install all the drivers listed on the HP site for the laptop and I've tried various solutions on these forms. So far no joy. Was wondering if anyone could help.

Satellite R630 - missing device PCI Windows XP driver
Hello
I lowered my Portege R630-138 of Windows 7 to Windows XP Prrofessional. I solved all the problems of bar one device driver. I have a PCI device showing in the hardware Manager that has no driver. I used all the drivers on the Toshiba site. How can I know what the device is and find a driver?
Thank you
Craig
Hello
Theoretically peripheral PCI can mean anything so first of all, we need to identify which device it is before we know which driver, we need to install.
In your case, I read this article, how to identify an unknown device:
How to identify an unknown device (e.g. LAN wireless module)? After that, you can find on the official website of Toshiba for a driver.

G7 2233 pilots missing after windows 7 ultimate 64-bit new installation
Hi - I received the computer modeled above with 8 pre-installed windows. I installed a clean install (wiped readers) and installed the operating system Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. When I did, none of the internet connections would even work. I since found (somehow) a pilot who was consistent, which deals with the missing wifi adapter, but I still need the following items:
Ethernet controller: PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & SUBSYS_184B103C & REV_05
PCI device: PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & SUBSYS_184B103C & REV_01
UNKNOWN DEVICE: ACPI\HPQ004
I can't find these anywhere, PLEASE help.
When you request support, please provide the HP model name and/or product the full number of the computer in question.
Assuming that you have a HP Pavilion laptop g7-2233 cl, specifications, other than the CPU, the RAM and the size of the screen, seem to be the same as my sister-brother g6-2210us laptop HP Pavilion computer. Drivers 64-bit of Windows 8 listed for two computers are the same. I installed Windows 7 64 bit on his computer about a month ago and used the following drivers of multiple origins;

Pavilion dv6645us after you have installed Windows 7 ultimate x 64 no drivers for base system device
After you have installed windows 7 ultimate on my pavilion dv6645us laptop, I can't find drivers for base system device, location: 2 PCI Bus, device 5, function 2. Also for another device of the Base system, location: 2 PCI Bus, device 5, function 3, I can't find the drivers. And I have a unknown device, location: on the system as 'good' to ACPI Microsoft. (I don't know the English translation).
The only thing that does not work on my laptop, I noticed is that I can't write data to my external hard drive (WD essential 1 TB NTFS), I can access the drive and get the data off of it, but when I try to put my computer on the outside driving my laptop goes down (it reacts with difficulty (, all usb devices are disconnected and I have to manually restart the computer by holding down the button for 5 seconds).
Is this a known problem and the most important is there a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

WiFi connection be lost automatically. You have to restart several times. Yet once the problem repeats. I tried rollbacking and update the drivers. The driver is not installed in the last attempt as well. Still problem persists.
It shows 'peripheral PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_08B3 & SUBSYS_00708086 & REV_83\34E6ADFFFF52349C00 requires an additional installation' under ' Intel Dual Band Wireless - AC 3160 "Information."
I traveled all the previous posts and forums, tried the BIOS update as well. Nothing has worked.
Please help me solve the problem.
Hello:
Have you tried the latest driver W10 directly from Intel?
Otherwise, it's one you need... 2nd one down on the left for 64 bit.
If you still have the problem after installing the driver, the only other suggestion I can offer would be to uninstall the Intel 3160 in Device Manager, click the driver uninstall, restart the PC and reinstall the driver above.
