ThinkPad tablet 10 maximum external monitor resolution

Hello

The max resolution that I receive on the external monitor or by using the docking station or micro HDMI port is 1920 x 1080. The touch screen's native resolution is 1920 X 1200.

1. is it possible to get alo less 1920 X 1200 on the external monitor?

2. in the case, which could be the technical reason if the video card compatible with still more than 1920 X 1200 theoretically.

Thank you.

The answer certainly lies with Intel, not Lenovo. It's an Intel chipset and GPU, and pilots come from Intel...

  • Portege R500 - maximum external screen resolution is only 1280 x 1024

    Hi all

I just ordered R500 (WinVista), and a 20 "external monitor (connected via a VGA cable) BENQ G2020HDA (1600 x 900 native). However, the maximum resolution for external panels (installed correct driver) alloved by Vista (parameters > monitor) is 1280 X 1024 :-(((.))

Do anyone have some tips, how to increase the resolution of the external monitor with this ntb Portege R500 (BIOS 1.6)?

    Thx for your help!

Have you tried to update the display driver? You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Remove the old display driver in Add/Remove programs and then restart the computer and install the new driver to display on the Toshiba site.

If it doesn't work you should try to update the BIOS. You can also find it on the Toshiba site.

    Good luck!

  • The external monitor resolution not supported on Satellite Pro U400

I want to connect an external monitor running at 1440 x 900, but the built-in driver does not offer this resolution and the display is very blurry.
I think that the Intel driver this will lead, but the computer complains that it is not verified for use and will not be installed.

Anyone had any joy getting this working?
    Charles

Unfortunately, this is because of the limitation of the driver.
What should do? What you can do is to install a non-Toshiba graphics card driver but also, this isn't the best idea.

Third party graphic driver can have a negative influence on the features of the graphics card and allow him to work without limitation. It may end with overheating or material damage.
So think twice before doing this.

  • Satellite A100: Can't choose my preferred on external monitor resolution

    Hello

When I connect to my external monitor (Bravia) so I'm not able to select alle-screen resolutions this monitor supports (1378 x 1024 or something like that). How can I solve this (laptop Satellite A100 with Vista). And if it is a driver problem... where can I get the right drivers?

    Leon

It certainly has to do with the graphics driver.
The graphics driver does not include the resolution you want to choose and so you cannot select it!

Ask you a good pilot? You already use the correct driver. No one can do so that this other driver would include your favorite resolution.

I read that many new generation external monitors are supplied with the software (driver) CD. You may need to install the software that came with your monitor.

However, depending on your graphics card! You can try to install the drivers of the 3rd site part

  • Need to reset the external monitor resolution in Windows Vista

Stupidly, I changed the resolution of my new external monitor on my laptop to a not available (single mode external monitor) and received a message on the screen: "out of range" + white screen. No matter how hard I tried, I can't use one external monitor mode and must live with double display (which is a waste of energy on my tiny laptop screen). Could someone tell me please how to reset the resolution setting in Vista for the external monitor?

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

You can try the steps below and check if the problem is resolved.

You can go to the control panel of the screen and reset it to factory settings.

And if you face the same problems, then, you must contact your system provider who will be in a better position to help you reset the external screen to its default state.

As a workaround, so check you have function keys on your portable computer, which can go from a monitor to your laptop and external monitor.

If Yes, then try to return to the screen of the laptop and turn off the external monitor.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • The VAIO VGNSR599GKB external monitor resolution

    Hello

Just do a full recovery of the system (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) on a Vaio VGNSR599GKB (intel GM45 chipset) and use it with an external monitor (1600 x 900), the internal display is out.  I am limited to a max of 1360 x 768 resolution.  I have the external screen defined as primary, but it makes no difference in resolution options.  The video driver installed with the recovery of the system are the same version as those available online.  The specifications of my model state that it can produce 2048 x 1536, via the vga port.  It would be nice to have the native res for my monitor as well as 1920 x 1080, if I decide to connect it to my TV.   Any ideas?

    Thank you!

I ended up uninstalling the original video driver and install the latest Intel driver manually.   The new driver does not yet show 1600 x 900 as a choice, but she had the ability to make custom resolutions, I was able to go this route to get the 1600 x 900 native.  And it actually now shows the 1600 x 900 custom that the resolution "recommended" from the choice of the resolution.  So everything is good now and I hope that it might help someone else.  Thanks for the help.

  • Equium A110-252: the display on the external monitor resolution

When I connect my LCD TV screen to my new satellite A110-252 using the external monitor port does not fit the image of the (too big) TV screen.

I've tried everything on orders for establishment of TV screen but no joy. Surely, there must be an option to fit to the screen on satellite? Can anyone help?

    Thank you Perry.

Hi there, you are using the external monitor port or the S-Video? Unfortunately, if you use the S-video port you can hold all of Office on television because it is technically impossible (without deleting the lines).

TV less than number of rows than a computer monitor: PAL = 576 visible lines, NTSC = 480 visible lines except if you can pass in 640 x 480 mode 800 x 600 is the best that you can use to display an image on the TV.

  • Re: Satellite A100-283 - 16:9 display on external monitor resolution

    Hello

I just got an old Toshiba Satellite A100-283 and tried to connect it to a TFT 22 ". Somehow, it seems that this laptop graphics card does not support the external screen such as 1920 x 1080 resolutions. I find 16:9 1920 x 1440 resolutions and such but not at all.
Is - anyone here know if there is a way to get this notebook running on an external display in 16:9?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Heike

    Hey Buddy,

You can change the screen resolution to the 16:9 format when you remove the brand to hide modes that this monitor cannot display as [THIS | http://blog.wildvista.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Lightroom_hide_modes-340x400.png] photo?

Check it then [screen resolutions | http://blog.wildvista.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Lightroom_vertical_res-355x400.png] again if you select another resolution of the screen

  • Tecra A7 with port replicator - the bad external monitor resolution

    Hello

I have a Tecra A7 (Mod.No. PTA71E) that I use with often an III advanced port replicator and an external 19 "monitor (1280 x 1024).

Now Ichanged the monitor with a new LCD display 22 '' Samsung 223BW with a resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Attached to the VGA, I have a lot of flicker problems drinking the reolution is OK.
Attached to the DVI I have not flickering but the monitor get a resolution of 1280 x 1024 with a desktop computer to 1680 x 1050, that appear depending on the position of the mouse.

How can I use the DVI and get good resolution (as in VGA mode) but without twinkle?

    Thank you
    Davide Rubbiani

    Hello

I guess that the Toshiba ATI driver does not support the resolution of 1680 x 1050.
The only way to get the 1680 x 1050 resolution is to install another driver.

Maybe here you will find a working one.

  • Tecra A3: cannot use the 1920 x 1200 on external monitor resolution

    Hello

I have use for a Toshiba Tecra A3 Notebook with build in Intel GMA900 video card. Connected to the Dell 2407WFP (with the current drivers installed video card and monitor) I could only choose 1600 * 1200 settings. The screen on the screen with the right max resolution of 1920 * 1200 - intel but I could only choose 4:3 rations in display properties.

The laptop should be able to run the resolution of 1920 * 1200 with no problems, but I can't choose this settings.

An idea or a tool that could help me...

    Thank you

P.S.: with the same connection Tecra A7 works very well @1920 * 1200

I don t know why, but some drivers graphics don t allow to use all the screen resolutions.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have much to do. If the resolution 1900 x 1200 is not in the list of available resolutions, so you will not be able to use it.

Maybe another graphic driver would allow you to use this special resolution but I m not 100% sure about this.
In addition, you should always use drivers Toshiba graphics and if you want to install other graphics drivers IE. Omega drivers so you can do so at you own risk!

  • T520 problems with external monitor resolution

    Hello

I'm standing right now waiting on hold for a Lenovo tech support rep, so I thought I'd just post my problem here. I just bought a Dell ultrasharp monitor U2713HM and am trying to connect it to my Lenovo T520. We sometimes see the monitor and sometimes it isn't, but this isn't my main problem. The monitor is supposed to be 2560 x 1440, but all the resolution settings are grayed out. I know that the Lenovo can support it because my last screen is a Samsung SyncMaster supporting 2560 x 1440, and it was beautiful (beautiful until the monitor exploded).

I was on the phone with Dell and Lenovo, and so far nobody has been able to solve the problem. I've updated the graphics driver NVIDIA (NVS4200M) to the latest version (310.90) as suggested by Dell, and I changed the cable VGA to DVI - D cable (connected to the Dual Link adapter), as suggested by Lenovo. He stlil does not work.

I could use some suggestions. I'm not grumpy at all, so it's quite frustrating. Thank you!!

  • Portege R200: Can I get resolution of 1920 x 1080 on external monitor?

    Hello!

I had some problems with my new Samsung TFT external. I hope that someone had an idea.

Is it possible to get a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 with the R200?

Its data sheet his writing something on an external resolution 2.048 x 1.536...

But when I connect the tft, press fn + f5 to switch on external tft im just able to 1280 x 1024.

I installed the driver of Samsung SyncMaster and the problem is already there. No higher resolution then 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz for my

TFT new even if I try to expansion of the Office on the other screen. ??

    Hello

Eventually, you will not be able to use your preferred on external monitor resolution.
    There are two reasons why such a resolution is not available;

    (1) the chip graphic card does not support external resolution
    (2) the graphics card driver could not support this resolution.

If the chip of the graphics card does not support external resolution then a driver update will not help you

But if the graphics card would support such a resolution, but resolution is not yet available, so the graphics card driver should be updated.

In any case, first check if the graphics card that support. For this you need to check the user manual, I think at the end of the user manual, you can find all available resolutions.

  • Dynadock and Satellite Pro U400-135 - external monitor question

    Hello.
We have a serious problem on the 26 dynadock vga e Satellite Pro U400-135 unit

    The problem is:
If set to host as a single external monitor during startup frequent windows loses resolution external monitor.

Example of resolution monitor post seting like 1280 x 1024, start with connected dyndaock, frequent resolution 1280 x 800 not correct and external monitor image not correct.

Operating system is Vista 32 bit, driver dynadock is 2.3 update and dynadock displaylink displaylink site 4.6.16208 site.
Same problem with Windows Xp 32 bit.

How can I solve the problem?

    Hello

If I understand the first message, external monitor resolution automatically goes to 1280 x 800 even if you set it to 1280 x 1024.
I guess that your external monitor is connected to the dynadock.
    Is this good?

AFAIK, you can customize the video settings of the dynodock.
It provides a video output in two modes: Mode and extended Mode of mirror.

Mirror mode creates an identical display of your computer to the external monitor screen. In mirror Mode, the dynadock automatically selects the settings (screen resolution, color quality and discount rates) for the external monitor that will allow the best resolution based on your computer's settings.

Maybe you use the mirror mode and therefore the dynadock the resolution automatically because it of the best for the external monitor.

I recommend checking the Dynadock manual for more details.
There are two modes are described there.

    Welcome them

  • Performance of poor graphics on VMWare Fusion when using an external monitor

    Hello

When you use an external monitor (connected to VGA via adapter Thunderbolt), I noticed severe lag while doing operations with open windows (for example, drag, maximize, minimize). In general, it is safe to say that all operations that appeal to no effect whatsoever (for example open a start menu), are significantly lag. When running in a one-stop single mode or unplug the external monitor, none of these discrepancies. So I strongly guess that arises the question of having a connected external monitor.

-Would be my Macbook is not powerful enough to run 4 screens simultaneously (two for Mac OS in native mode as well as more virtual both inside Windows)? Are there settings I can try and change that could affect this underperformance? Or is it a problem with VMWare? Please note that the CPU is not even by far the most when running the virtual machine and 'stress test' moving around the windows.

My settings for the virtual machine are attached to this post.

I use a Macbook to mid-2014 Pro retina 13 "with 16 GB of RAM and a processor Intel i7 @ 3 GHz, as well as the latest Version of VMWare Fusion (7.1.0). The OS I am running using VMWare is a Windows 8.1. (implemented from scratch on this machine) with all updates installed (as well as VMWare tools). I am running Windows in a resolution of 2560 x 1600 with icons on the scale, but I tried to run VMWare low with 1440 x 900 resolution, which made no difference.

    Hi ltzi1,

Are there when you select "Unit" only for "Scaled high resolution" in the display settings?

Please can you give us the external monitor resolution setting and attached support beam (it can be collected by 'Help-> support Collect information') which could help understand the problem?

Or a registration form would be useful. : D

    Thank you.
