• need help with the CVI real-time

  I'm new to CVI real-time and need help related to this. I'll explain my scenario:

  1. I have a few configuration files (INI). Need to validate the files (the range... check etc.) when the application is started.

  2. when the user clicks on 'START' in the user interface on the host machine, I need to generate outputs (analog/discrete...) according to the settings in the config file and read a few entries of other instruments. (I/O such tasks that generate outputs/inputs, I intend to perform beside reading RT)

  3. from the user interface, user can also change the configuration files. If the user modifies the files, file validation must again be made. After editing files, if the user clicks on START, the need to take the new entry to perfom tasks I/O configuration files.

  4. I am NOT using reflective memory for my application.

  I am confused in the following area:

  1 file validation during startup, I have to perform on host and on the side of RT?

  2. If the configuration files are changed in the host side user, how I send the names of files to RT? I think that I should not send the file names, I need to read from the file and its contents, I need to move on to Rt.... Pls correct me, I'm not sure about this...

  3. If I send the contents of the file to the RT, how do I do... I have to use structures, means... ???

  Please guide me. Any help would be much appreciated.

  It depends on the full range of responsibilities for INI files. If they are necessary simply to change what the I/O are for, then you would be technically just validate the content of the file INI on the side of the RT. However, you could post on both sides if you wanted to. However, I would probably set up as I have send a validation to the target control, have the target run a component of the code that validates the INI content based on how I loaded it and then returns a message that says if it meets the requirements I specified. However, if you are concerned with unloading of this process on the user's desktop (to the contrary increase the performance of the RT controller), you may FTP the file to the rheostat and perform the process of validation of the side host.

  You can send them to the target by FTP. This can be done programmatically, by MAX, command or a Web browser window.

  It is basically addressed in answer to question two. You would not need another structure in your code of RT to manage the FTP receive component as this is handled by the FTP Client/server communication. However, in case you successfully FTP a file to the target, you should probably send a message between the host and the target so that the target can react accordingly and reload the file I/O values, run an inactive procedure, or do what you want.

  I think you should set a stop condition on your loop.  After getting your last sample, you can call DAQmx Read again and you should get error-200278.  That actually makes sense.  You can index in your waveform and "Get the components of waveform" allows to get the table to, and then use an array size VI to account for the number of samples # you acquired (see photo).  When you reach the number you wait, stop your loop.  You can also solve this problem by reading the 10 instead of-1 and count (i + 1) * 10 = acquired samples.

  Well Yes. It uses two FIFO read nodes. The first one reads the elements 0 and the output for the remaining element is wired to the number of items in the second node entry. Voila, check you what is in the FIFO and pull everything out of it.

• NOR-DAQmx compatibility with the system in real time

  I try to use a time system 11 with LabVIEW Real-time. When I try to connect with the driver OR DAQmx, an error saying that the version of the NOR-DAQmx drivers are bundles with the one on the real time. I tried to use different versions of the NOR-DAQmx drivers that are available in the table of compatibility, but not those who worked. I have an old computer working with the same real-time system that uses LabVIEW 9 and has the driver NOR-DAQmx 9.3.5 f0 driver installed on it but I can't find the drivers on the web. What should I do?

  Looks like you can just have a lag in the versions of software installed on your host computer and the target.  In order to deploy the code from your host to your target, the two must have corresponding to libraries of functions.  See this link for instructions on updated versions of the software on your target match those installed on your host computer, the wizard of the LabVIEW RT software.  If you have already done this, and it did not help, please provide a screenshot or error code of the message that is to appear.

• Using FTPClient on a real time with system Exec.vi

  How can I tell FTPClient.exe address target when I start this executable with system Exec.vi in Labview?  I don't want to reinvent the file FTP utility used by MAX with targets in real time. I want to run this executable to a labview support utility without using MAX to do.

  Thanks for the info.  Your "bad mood" response "suggests" a response to my question.  However, the full answer to my original question is that it is not possible to use FTPClient.exe outside MAX.  It is therefore not possible to spend in the address target at run time if the FTPClient.exe runs external to MAX.  FileZilla is a good choice - there are also other FTP clients out there, but you pointed out a solid choice.  Thank you.

  Do not know if it exists, but I have a client who active data that he wants to represent with a graphic barcode equivalent evolving: as numbers of real-time data he wanted the chart bar to change as a result, nobody knows if theres a way to muse or with a widget to offer something like this as a representation of numbers in real-time?   I have the following problem when it comes to check if the required fields have been filled.

  I created a real-time validation that checks if a field is empty or not. It works pretty well for nodes that are already being implemented.

  But when I want to create a new node DRM gives me an error until I can create the node: "Please fill property X".

  Is it possible (except batch validation) to solve this problem?

  This is the common problem with validations in real time on the required fields, like the GET validation as and when the node is created,

  Try to evaluate the node creation date, if is that a new deal validation allows to fill the properties in the other case, look for the values of fields are mandatory.

• Is it possible to record an animation in real-time in Flash?

  My first simple project with animation (via Flash if possible) will be animated in writing.

  The Situation

  I have a text on a background image. I want scribble on one of the words with a digital pen and write another word beside her, exactly as you would when you come across a suspect word what evidence of reading. You will draw the digital pen on a Cintiq 22HD. This is my first use of Flash, so I don't want to spend hours learning how to animate the writing. Just a simple "Record" at this stage.

  In Flash, can I import an image as background, prepare my pen and somehow save my movements of stylus in real time? IE is there a button Save somewhere in Flash? I don't want to save background as well, just the writing part. When I'm done writing I press Stop.

  I hope you end up with is a real-time animation of exactly what I have done with the pen. I can then take the animation and the place elsewhere if necessary.

  If Flash is unable to record, what other software could have this capability?
