ThinkServer TD340 usb 3.0

The ThinkServer TD340 will have an internal USB 3.0?

Erics8,

Thank you for your patience. I was able to collect the information that you are looking for, and it seems that my previous answer was incorrect. The system has six USB ports, which are all 2.0. The TD340 has a USB 3.0 ports, unfortunately.

  • ThinkServer TD340 - features LSI MegaRAID SAS 9240-8i

I have been looking to add a few records to our current 4 disk RAID10 configuration - managed by SAS9240-8i controller. However, I have been informed by Lenovo they dropped the disc that we currently have 4, which means that we cannot just buy 2 more and add them to the current RAID.

My question is - the SAS9240-8i is able to manage two separate RAIDs? If we were to buy two disks could put us up in a RAID1 while still managing the other 4 disks in the RAID10?

I tried to find this info of LSI/Avago, but since it is a Lenovo machine, they were not able to provide me with the information I requested. I get a little more hoping answers here.

    Thank you!

    Hi DForza,

To answer your question, yes the 9240-8i is capable of multiple RAID volumes. In my opinion, that it supports up to 64 RAID volumes.

  • ThinkServer EasyUpdate for TSx40 servers

Can someone explain why the download provided for these servers is 5 MB? http://support.Lenovo.com/ca/en/products/servers/ThinkServer-Tower-servers/ThinkServer-TS440/70AQ/00... I was trying to make a USB bootable out of it and it kept failing. So I started googling and found similar updaters version (they don't specify that they are for these servers) and they were 300 + MB. http://support.Lenovo.com/ca/en/downloads/ds040926 I guess the update specified in the list of downloads is pooched. Anyone know where I can get a good copy of the update? I was going to send Lenovo but I can't find an email address to send to.

Just for the sake of close the case, the file on the server, which has been altered in fact, was set to count from 24/07/2016. I was able to make an update of the firmware BIOS EasyUpdate.

  • ThinkServer RD630 black screen

    Hi all

I've been set a ThinkServer RD630 to present itself as a storage array. I was able to configure the RAID array, install Server R2 2012 and connect. However, I lived with DHCP issues. To try to solve this problem, I have checked the BIOS for all the 'hard' parameters and had not found any. After reboot, I was presented with a black screen with no other information. I tried to reset the BIOS, but to no avail (server never shows anything on the attached KVM). I also have basic troubleshooting and various other devices connected. It is clear that the USB ports are turned, but none of the devices are never activate which would indicate the server makes to the BIOS. Any thoughts?

FYI: Solved my problem. Resetting jumpers CMOS brought me back in place and running!

  • Hardware monitoring TD340

I have a TD340 server running Windows Server R2 2012. It's the first ThinkServer I put in place. I want to know what Lenovo is equivalent to manage Open from Dell or HP Management Homepage. I depend on application of Dell OpenManage so that I can monitor hardware health remotely. However, I can't find which utility will allow me to monitor all of the material in my thinserver. I have download the RAID utility so that I can at least see the health of disks. However, I have a yellow explamation lit on the front of my server and I can not even determine what it is because I don't have the applications or utilities to tell me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can monitor the hardware using the Management Module integrated Thinkserver.

  • Recovery BIOS ThinkServer RD630

    (3) copy amiboot.rom in the root of a USB key (it doesn't have to be bootable).

    (4) turn off the server (if not already).

    (5) turn the dip-switch number 1 BIOS recovery on IT (top) position. (location of the dip switch located on the lower part of the cover of the server).

    (6) USB key insert with amiboot.rom into a USB port on the server.

    (7) power on the server. The screen will be black for a minute, and you will hear 2 beeps.

    (8) when ThinkServer logo is displayed, press F1. Server continues to start the Setup program.

Here's where he goes wrong, all I get is a simple blinking cursor.

Funny it is starting the server perfectly. The only way I found out there was a problem is that I had to set the IP BMC etc.

This is the same problem that

ThinkServer RD530 BIOS Recovery as of 14/02/2014?

    never is the procedure below...

    (9) configuration screen appears and the BIOS flash should start automatically. Wait for flash finish.

    (10) when the flash is complete, the server will restart - turning the server off.

    (11) key USB remove server.

    (12) flip the Recouvrance BIOS switch dip 1 OFF position (down).

    (13) power on the server.

Solution to this is to update the firmware of the LSI, and then you can go back into the BIOS again.

  • USB disabled after the update of the Sierra (a short circuit and a work)

Hi, when I bought my mbp 13 inches mid2012 (used, not new) I noticed that a USB port did not work. In the Yosemite sometimes I noticed that a USB port consumed too much energy and have been disabled. (I think because the usb port has been short-circuited. Year when it was time to update the mbp to El Capitan I had a few panic the kernel and the newspaper was shown as the last driver loaded the USB driver, so I kept the mbp with Yosemite. A few days ago, I updated for Sierra but only usb which used to work stopped working. It has enabled and turned on but Finder and disk utility does not see the drive. In an Apple dealer they said that could be established relationships with some oxide and next week will take it and see what the problem is.

If there is someone with the same problems, please tell me what to do! I don't want to put in the trash my mac just for a flash drive... but I need!

    Hi Supermene,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. Based on what you said, it appears as a USB device is not recognized in one of the USB ports. There are a few things that can cause this. I recommend you read these articles, which may be able to help solve the problem.

  • New Audio USB Interface lose sound on El Capitan

    Hi all!

A few weeks ago that I upgraded my MacBook Pro retina 15 "end 2013 to El Capitan, after that my USB Audio Interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) and Safire 6 USB stopped working properly. Both work correctly when they are connected to an iMac 5K running the same operating system.

I can listen to Audio for some time (about 10-2 Minutes, it is always different), when the Audio starts to crush und get outs, after a certain time there is only silence "click on" come out of the speakers.

Heres an Audio file of the sound that results from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5nb96bmdh47kmi2/20160923%20141619.m4a?dl=0

I already tried to reinstall OS X (starting with CMD R and reinstall OS), reset PRAM and SMC. Nothing has changed the question. Any ideas where it comes from?

    Greetings

    Chris

It is most likely a software conflict. Note the time at which audio is running out. Open the Console and look for accidents or mistakes at this time.

The reason why it crashes on a mac, but not the others most likely is related to differences in software installed. Run Etrecheck on touch mac and post the report here.

  • Crash when disconnecting USB connected to the Steinberg UR-22

    Updated for Sierra recently.

When I unplug my Steinberg UR-22 by the USB port, the operating system crashes instantly and restarts.  EVERY TIME.

I plug/unplug often and have never had this problem until the Sierra.  I use my Air for labor and for the game, so he forces me to move to and from the Office to Home Office... or around the House.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

The Yamaha Steinberg USB driver only supports OS X 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11. You need to ask Steinberg support if or when they intend to support macOS Sierra 10.12.

  • USB charger - 29W C - compatibility with 12.9 "iPad Pro

I'm looking for an answer as to if the USB - C 29W charger is compatible with the iPad to 12.9 "Pro. I know this question has been asked and answered by the communities in the past, but when I went to the Apple Store to buy the charger today, the staff told me that the charger could damage my battery over time. I then started a support chat session to confirm the answer and the representative said (and I quote) "If 2 people advised me not to do something, I would not even waste my time." We could care less if you want to damage your unit. »

First of all, I never got a rude responses to Apple, so it was a surprise. Secondly, I really just trying to get an answer to the question. Can anyone (especially Apple) help out me? Thank you!

If it is not in the specs of the iPad, you're crazy to use it. The Chargers are cheap, the iPad is not.
