  Stay away from the MX100. Many problems reported here for reasons that nobody has been able to understand. The Samsung 850 is the best SSD on the market but the OCZ is also good.

  Disks SATA III should be used in SATA III computers. Try one of the Corsair 64 GB SATA II drives. Other brands also works, but I prefer Corsair (Corsair Memory also have).

  Which SATA (I, II or III) is compatible with the dv7-6178us? Specification the SATA is backward compatible. This means that disks SSD SATA type will work in your notebook. The SSD will be made only to the level of specification SATA your SATA controller is capable of. If the controiller is SATA150 so your SSD SATA600 installed work bandwidth SATA150.

My own brand preferences are Intel, OCZ Technology, Samsung and SSD Crucial.  Purchase of the SSD in upgrade kit is the simplest solution. Upgrade kits come with a SATA to USB cable and cloning software making it a fairly simple process to upgrade the laptop. See the post-it that I wrote at the top of the section of portable equipment for some details on this.

  I'd like to buy one of these 3000mah battery for my atrix more 2, but where I live I can only find this battery for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.

  The Atrix 4 G battery is not the same as the Atrix 2.

  Atrix 2 is HW4X

  Atrix 2 extended is BW8X

  The only other phone I can find with the same battery is the Droid Bionic, but the battery door does not have the Atrix 2 of course.

  Displays HD and FHD indicate a different cable. Theoretically, you can replace the control panel and cable, but this requires more disassembly. Start on page 32 of the manual. The motherboard is configured to accept a type of cable, so upgrading is possible just to questionable economic sense if you pay for the work.

  Cost of parts can be 120 to $150.

  Is there a point of reference for the SSD that would or may not work with the current hardware in my notebook, keeping in mind that no material has been replaced since the original components?

  The best consumer SSD out there for me is the Samsung 850 Evo. And your price is a little late. A 250 gig is now about $85 and a 120 is about $64 so get the 250:

  You can get other model 250 s for a little less. I saw them in the $ 70 range. I have not seen the 120s for less of maybe $50.

  You can't go wrong with any SSD on the market with the exception of the MX Crucual series. Many problems reported with those and HP laptops.

  It's all backward compatible so no need to try to get older hardware to mesh with the cell phone age. Just install and go. Don't worry about benchmarks. It will be fast enough.
