This computer does not have an installed and configured wireless network adapter

Hello. I'm having serious problems with my computer. It's a Dell 1545 Inspion. After having a problem with my HP printer, I contacted HP and was instructed on how to remove and uninstall the printer from my computer. After that I followed this process my computer has never been the same. For example, all of the icons in the start menu had little pictures of records instead of the icon associated with the program. Anyway, after a lot of problems, I decided that I should restore my computer to factory settings using the CD of the operating system supplied with my computer and the instruction booklet on how to do it. Now, the computer cannot connect to wireless internet. I have wireless so I can not on the internet. I get the error "this computer has no network cnfigured and installed wireless card." When before I restored it the computer with the CD of operaiting, there was no problem of wireless connection. Help, please.

Manjeet

The system detects the card wireless at all?

Hold down the Windows key and press 'R' at the same time. Type "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes). Check if you can at least see the wireless network card.

Or key Windows press "R", type "ncpa.cpl" (without the quotes) and see if you can see it there.

You can also try to go to the Dell website and lifting your system via the number of Service Tag (XXXXXXX) found either on the roof of your system, or by the series at the rear or bottom tag. Here you can try to download the drivers for WLAN card and install from there.

Just wondering if his work even at this point.

I just installed a new hard drive on my computer of dell inspiron 1525. I am not very computer but I managed to do it and it works. I had a disc from dell to reinstall windows vista edition Home premium 32-bit and had drivers and utilities dvd. However, I can't connect to the internet. He always tells me that I have not installed and configured wireless network card. When I go into computer management, there is no network adapter. There are "other devices" which device base system list three times with properties that say that the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28) but it won't let you not reinstall drivers and to be honest, I don't even know what the "other devices". There is also an ethernet controller that says the same thing. A network controller and the properties say he has not configured corr. (code 1) but won allow you to install because windows cannot find the driver for the device. He says that if you know the FAB of the device, you can visit the site Web-manufacturer of this device? As you can see, I'm not very computer. So, how can I connect to the internet. I have Verizon wireless at home. Thank you.

well, I think that I thought about it. I right click on each of them separately, and I think I can have it now.

  • This computer does not have an installed or configured wireless network adapter

I know that this has been answered because another user had the same problem, but my laptop has the switch wireless on but the light is orange instead of blue.
My nvidia driver also said that it is working properly. I have Windows Vista 32 bit.
This happened the day after and I really don't understand what is the problem and I'm tired to connect to the internet via the Ethernet cable. A little stupid to pay for internet and wireless router if I can't use it.
    Please help me.

    Hi keren_maro,

The other user having the same problem had a broken wireless switch.  The only solution for this is to contact the manufacturer of your laptop and the switch replaced.

Click Start, then type cmd and press ENTER.  Type ipconfig/all.  Under the heading of your wireless connection, it does not say "Media disconnected"?

The light remain the same color and turns off when you move the switch not?

If the answer to these questions is 'Yes', then you will need to get your laptop repaired.

If this is not the case, let us know.

  • This computer has no announcement of uninstalled of configured wireless network adapter.

I recently installed a new hard drive and had therefore to install a new version of windows vista. So I installed vista, but could not get on the internet. Just the computer will not read the wireless router. I have another computer and obviously it still works. I used it to download an updated driver for the NIC on the computer I just loaded vista on and that has not worked. What can I do?

    Hello

    Maybe this can help

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

    --------------------------------------------------

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.
some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon. Try using a wired connection or download
pilots on another machine and transfer on removable media.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

  • This computer does not have an adapter installed and configured wireless

After reading all the post with the same question, I am still unable to find an answer.

Turned my laptop (Toshiba, sorry don't know model) in the night, as usual, went to for use the next day and unable to connect to the internet. Unlike many others, my wireless switch light was orange as its meant to be, and it does not turn off when I flip, leaving no light on.

When trying to connect to the internet and try to find a network, the above message appears? !

    Help please! :(

    Hello Sharn_123

It seems that your network adapter drivers are not installed. You will need to install them. If you do not, you will need the factory visit and download them. I hope this helps.

I JUST downloaded tonight and my computer does not have this edit bar little to work with, so I can download the reader good Adobe and my internet was screwed up, since I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I want just the old version of this back because I can't download the Adobe stuff which is necessary to protect my computer against hackers apparently not. It is certainly. AMD demanded 4 .NET. x + for their installer drivers for several years already, but I think they have started including with their driver downloads recently.
