This copy of Winows is not authentic
I bought my laptop with VISTA 2 years ago. Now I get a message "this copy of Winows isn't genuine. What should I do?
You will probably have to re-activate the account using your product key. Try to do it manually as follows:
To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter. Enter your country and press Next. You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below. Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being. Have your handy product code because it will be asked. Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC. They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.
If you have other issues with validation, go to the Forum of real advantage to http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads where the problems of Vista validation experts will be more than happy to help you with your problem.
This should solve the problem. If this isn't the case, please post back.
Good luck!

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.
We know that it is because the BIOS date:
20080130000000.000000 + 000
Windows 7 was released in 2009, the date of your BIOS says 2008, which means probably that your system is provided with Windows Vista or Windows XP.
In addition, he is a well known Windows 7 Ultimate license which has been used all over the web:
Windows product key: *-* - YG69F - 9M66D-PMJBM
Do a search on the web.
So authentic you recharge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista) or consider buying a Windows 7 or Windows 7 license.
In addition, your Microsoft Office is not genuine, that is a copy of volume license used by large companies who deploy Office in bulk.
You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.
There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

Build 7601 this copy of microsoft is not authentic? but it should be.
the basic facts are not very irritable im.
laptop has two internal hard drives
its an acer aspire 6930
laptop fell off the couch
Windows would not start saying hardware or software missing or damaged
made the diagnosis of memory ok.
discovered on the startup disk
in fact, reinstalled windows on another hard drive and booted up
has taken about 30 minutes to install updates
seen through my computer my main hard drive missing
disabled for laptop
unscrewed the Panel underneath and had to fix the main hard drive
now has the choice of 2 windows 7
back photos etc. and format of hdd secondary to try away with 2 x Window 7 on startup.but can always get the option.
now my original hard drive startup displays the message above about not genuine windows
a speech bubble guard appearing telling me also.
wallpaper disappears.
hope you can follow like its all a bit messy.
what I need to save all external and format the two hard drive
then reinstall?
Thanks again for the quick response.
do the last update for realtek high definition audio driver who will take an another 1 h 20mn by the look of it?
just looked under laptop
faded key cert Microsoft for vista.
also a couple of front stickers are missing
I bought this laptop 18 months to 2 years for little money from someone I used to know about a car forum, which has revolved around laptops with decent spec (to the extent of the concerned in any case im) at a quite reasonable price that I was on a budget as usual
This laptop can be a parts bin lol.
It has a screen revalued and the additional hddrive as far as I know.
I gave an authentic disc of windows 7 in a box with its own product key and said it was the operating system that is installed. It ran fine with no warning 'victim of possible fraud counterfeit' or something else. and he made the automatic updates, I think that all day, mainly for windows defender.
This disk is what I'd done the re-setup on the secondary drive.
maybe after activation on another drive it has marked as cloned? don't know how it works tbh.
Anyway, it serves me right for it hits on the couch and maybey its time to try to upgrade to windows eight after Christmas.
hope only until it is not get in any trouble.
The key used is of "recovery media" for Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell at least - from what I can find easily. If the product key that you have in the above output (* - WJ2H8 - R6B6D-7QJB7) does not match the key found, ' drive genuine windows 7 in box with its own product key "-enter the box and try to activate. If it does not-Yes, this is the product key that Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell (at least) used to install Windows 7 on all of its systems at the factory.

Windows 7 computer bought at Futureshop - this copy of windows is not genuine.
Hello
We bought a laptop HP from Futureshop in Sept 2011 and everything worked fine until 2 days ago. We are running Windows 7 Home Premium. When we bought the computer, technicians from Futureshop installed service pack 1 and all other updates. The operating system has been pre-installed and activated.
Two days ago suddenly while on Facebook, we got a pop up that says "this copy of windows is not authentic. Since that, we get the same message in the lower right desk top. We thought that this might be some malicious programs and therefore we have executed a number of analyses on the computer but have not found any viruses or malware. Y at - it a fix for this or do we need to reactivate our copy of windows?
If you have not yet done so, try to activate again. If activation fails, see the Microsoft Diagnostics real link below.
Activate Windows 7 on this computer:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/activate-Windows-7-on-this-computer
Case of failure of the online activation:
Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation
1. open Windows Activation - click on the Start button, right-click computer, click Properties, then click the option to activate Windows now or change your key.
2. click on show me other ways to activate.
3 type your Windows 7 product key (check the bottom of the laptop and the battery Bay) and then click Next.
4. click on use the automated phone system.
5. click on the location nearest you from the drop-down list, and then click Next.
6. dial one of the available phone numbers listed.
7. do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.
If you are still unable to activate:
(1) download and run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool:

"Build 6002: this copy of Windows is not genuine".
Hello world...
I've had my TOSHIBA Satellite L40-139 for more than a year. She was purchased by PC World and came with a preinstalled version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. I don't have the disc that came with the laptop, but the Windows installed is genuine.
I went to install Vista Service Pack 2 after you download. I restarted my laptop only to find my desktop wallpaper disappeared and was replaced with a black background and the following text in the lower right of the desktop:
Windows Vista (TM)
Build 6002
This copy of Windows is not genuineShe was followed by a pop-up with two options, 'Activate now' or 'Activate later', followed by a pop up an error that says Windows must be reinstalled as a "unauthorized modification were made...". Please insert the CD or DVD. If I press 'Activate now' he's just another pop up that says I can contact TOSHIBA. If I click on the link it will just a standard screen for "help!"
I don't know what to do... I have the sticker intact COA product key and tried to enter, but she returned with various errors. It's like as soon as I installed service pack 2 I had problems. Yet once again, I don't have Vista or a toshiba recovery disk (I don't even know if it came with one). I tried to restore Windows, but it returns with the same screens!
Help!
PS. is the Toshiba support line a toll-free number? Does anyone know a number that is free to call mobile phones? (I don't have a landline).
Your model of laptop is not delivered with the recovery disk, but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. In s manuals document clearly describes that you must fund recovery DVD only tool preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.
Version of the OS pre-installed (Toshiba recovery image factory settings) is definitely authentic and I really don t understand how it can happen. I mean thousands of people do the same update, and there is no other claim on similar problems.
Anyway, if you didn t create recovery disk you can try now is to reinstall the OS using the HDD recovery procedure. How to do this you can read in document http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm Toshiba FAQ
This will remove all HARD drive, extract second partition so if you have some important data backup. If it will not let me know.

Hello
That your laptop has a certificate of authenticity of Windows on the bottom of the laptop?
If it, write it down and then right click on the error message and choose activate. Activate by phone, that's what you use. It takes a little of your time to navigate the menu, but it is worth.

Vista Home Premium x 64 lie "this copy of Windows is not genuine". Solution?
Why my Windows Vista Home Edition Premium x 64 (active with the serial number on the side of the case more than 3 years ago) suddenly puts an overlay at the bottom right of my desk saying: -.
"Windows Vista (TM)".
Build 6002
This copy of Windows is not genuine ".I have not done something 'new' with him, did not have any material (Chipset, processor and MAC address are the same, not BIOS updated firmware etc.) or installed a major service pack (just the regular updates for the Defender) and all of a sudden it tells me I'm a thief of cheating When I KNOW for a fact that I am not.
I have never shared my license key with anyone. (at least not consciously) I've never disabled Windows. I didn't join a new area or changed my working group. I've not yet been messing around in my system registry these last time.
This message is very disturbing, I realized that the 'Premium' features, which I do not use a fair bit, stop working shortly after this message.
What should I do to reassure Windows that's really authentic?
Oh, wait... I remember something that I do... I've been running thorough Defrags recently. Resized the Swap Partition (Yes, I keep a partition for the pagefile 'fixed size' and hide only) and changed the BCD to 'show' the Test of memory Vista boot option.
One of these would cause?
I do not see why and don't know what to do to fix.
Actually... the problem is not that the defragment utility.
If I jump the boot time defragmentation (or he analyzes that no hard drive need to be defragmented) no office message.
If a drive is defragmented during startup, Windows isn't genuine this session.
For all MSVPs, who may be interested to hear this strange story and understand why... the software in question is UltraDefrag.

Why do I get "this copy of Windows is not genuine. Build 7601, Windows 7 "? Windows was preinstalled on my computer when I bought 7 years ago. This message just started yesterday.
The label on the bottom of my laptop is worn and unreadable. I prepare some restore disks when I bought it all first.
Also, is it safe to use with this message? I am more sensitive to the virus and malware?
When I ran the MGADia.exe, I received the following:
