This device cannot start. (Code 10). Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device not found.

The operating system does not detect the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device on my Toshiba Satellite. I tried Microsoft Auto difficulty and it didn't fix it. The CD player worked last week when I installed ITunes software. Now, the driver cannot be detected. Known corrections or suggestions?

You must uninstall, then reboot and let the program installation is the device when it restarts. If the correct drivers are found, it will install. In case of failure, it's probably because Search Setup default is files of the user and not the C:\windows\inf or directories c:\windows\system32\drivers\, which you can specify by choosing to install from a list or specific location, and then by typing or by going to the it. If this fails, check the bios settings.  But most likely your original driver was silently replaced, by a program system file or a third-party application. If need be, you can try a system restore to return the parameters of your system to a point in time where everything worked. I would try one more point to restore and not a newer version, preferably a restore point launched machine, not one caused by installing or removing a program or a driver. Updates in security plague devices on my Toshiba Satellite? Matshita dvd - ram uj-850 s can notrecognize the media .  I tried to run Mats_run.dvd.exe and it cancels the installation of PowerShell and said run again later.  I checked the registry for PowerShell and he's not here.

Updates are downloaded automatically but are installed manually. Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 is installed.  There are 2 hard drives usb, e and h. The internal hard drive is c and the dvd drive is d.

    Hey, Arch.

    Hello

First of all I must say that there is no such thing as the P160 Satellite
Then perhaps you could post a right cell phone model.

    Secondly I recommend to follow this short statement to solve this;
-go to Device Manager and remove the ODD (optical disc) of the list of devices
-Then go to the registry and remove the
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-then restart the device and check how it works

    Good luck

    2. click on Start.
    3. type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

    5. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then uncheck Load Startup items .
    6. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click disable all.

When you start, you still have the problem?  If this did not fix your problem, follow these steps to turn back on all startup programs. If this fixed the problem, you must determine which element specifically, caused the conflict.

    1. click on start
    2. type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.

    Hello

I have a touch ideapad P400. I have Windows 8 and a drive Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8C2. The drive is not showing in my computer and do not read any disc I put in. Hello

The CD/DVD drive needs no special drivers!
Vista includes a Microsoft driver that works with all CURIOUS s (CD/DVD drives)

Simply said, the Vista should recognize the drive without any problems.

A few questions; did you get any error messages? What is the status of Device Manager? Do you see yellow exclamation points?

There is an old way to correct a similar drive problem. It worked on XP then try it on Vista OS.
It of necessary to update the registry entry

    2. If it is a Vista machine in the search box type regedit without quotes.
    3. look for the registry key mentioned above.
    4. in the right panel you'll see something along the lines of UpperFilter and UpperFilter you want to click on each key filter and tap on delete. Click Yes when asked to confirm if you want to delete the key.
    5. restart Windows.

  • CD/dvd-rom device cannot start code 10

I am unable to read the cd or dvd.  I can't copy or the other. Device Manager indicates this device cannot start code 10. Please help me find a solution.  Thank you.

You can have a couple of damaged registry keys must be deleted.  We provide steps to remove the key using the registry editor, but you must be careful when editing the registry.  Please follow the steps in the link below for the backup of your registry before you open the registry editor.

    Backup of your Windows registry

Note: Before using this method, uninstall all CD or DVD writing or recording of programs. Delete the corrupted registry entries could cause problems with another CD or DVD writing or recording of programs that are installed on your computer. Uninstall these programs before you start you will help avoid any problems that may remove registry entries. You can reinstall these programs once the problem is resolved.

This method provides detailed instructions about how to use the registry editor to delete the following corrupt registry entries:

    • UpperFilters
    • LowerFilters

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Step 1: Open the registry editor

    • Click the Start orb, type regedit in the Search box and press enter if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

Step 2: Delete the UpperFilters registry entry

    1. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
    2. Expand SYSTEM, and then expand CurrentControlSet.
    3. Expand the controland class.
    4. Under category, click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
    5. In the details pane of the registry editor, on the right, click UpperFilters.

Note You can also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters.

      • If you see the UpperFilters registry entry in the details pane of the registry editor, go to step 6.
      • If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to delete the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to "step 3: delete the LowerFilters registry entry.»
    6. On the Edit menu, click on delete.
    7. Click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:
Are you sure you want to delete this value?

The UpperFilters registry entry is removed. Step 3: Delete the LowerFilters registry entry

    1. In the details pane of the registry editor, on the right, click LowerFilters.

Note that you can see a LowerFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click LowerFilters.

    2. On the Edit menu, click delete.
    3. Click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:
Are you sure you want to delete this value?

The LowerFilters registry entry is removed.

    4. Exit Registry Editor.

Step 4: Restart your computer, restart your computer. After doing this, try to access the CD or DVD drive. If you can access the CD or DVD drive, and if you do not receive an error message, the problem is resolved. You can reinstall your CD or DVD writing or recording software.  Please let us know if this does not solve your problem, or if you have any other questions.  Thank you.
