This pretty good computer for my editing needs?

I will get a new computer for video editing.

I make recordings of gameplay for various games on the PS4.

My other computer is suitable for audio production, mixing and mastering.

This one will be for recording (using the software and device of capture of game) and editing the videos.

I do not use many effects, mainly color corrections and some time remapping using Twixtor or inventory features.

I use Premiere Pro CS6

I record using the Elgato game Capture HD60 (H.264 encoding)

This unit connects to the PS4 for passthrough your computer, which includes software that control the device is installed on the computer and saves the gameplay.

I would also get 4 years protection plan.

  • 3.6 GHz Intel Core i7-4790 Haswell CPU
  • 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
  • 7200 RPM 2 TB hard drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 4GB GeForce GTX 745 (OEM) | Features | GeForce
  • Bluetooth 4.0 + 802.11b/g/n Wi - Fi
  • DVD SuperMulti burner
  • 6 x USB 3.0 / 4 x USB 2.0 Ports
  • Audio integrated 7.1
  • Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

More plug computer in depth:

Also, these slots plug / available do not allow for the addition of a Solid State Drive? Can't find any information on places available...

Here's the deal: the GTX 745 will be the factor limiting in this PC, assuming that you add an SSD. However, without knowing the case where the PC is assembled in, some OEM cases have only one internal drive Bay which limits the whole system to just one OS disc and no disc storage internal. That severely limits scalability.

And the GTX 745 is much slower than the GTX 750 for two reasons:

(1) it is an OEM only version paralyzed from the GTX 750 with only 384 CUDA cores (against 512 CUDA cores in the GTX 750);

(2) it only uses DDR3 memory instead of the 750 GTX GDDR5 memory, and so the flow of memory is a crummy 28.8 GB/sec instead of 80 GB/sec of the 750 GTX. And I recently tested a GT 730 with GDDR5 memory to give you an idea of ugly about how the GTX 745 will occur.

    Debbi, welcome to the forum.

Yes, this is a Touchsmart , which should be good for the type of games you mentioned.  If you want to play more complicated games, it maybe not so good, however.

Hi, I m trying to get a computer for a community radio station that will use auditioning CS6.  We have a bit of a budget, but not a massive one.  Thought get a 3 GHz i3 or higher (budget about £110).  We have an audio interface USB Tascam 4 x 4 that we'll run on it.  You want to be able to send the output to listen (on another computer).  We will save you 4 tracks and put a limiter on Volume of speech and, possibly, an EQ on 2 of the tracks and let the other 2 unfiltered.

The machine works well.  He'll give us a lot of leeway.  How well a PC it will be hearing CS6?

Curious to know if it's actually a little more dotted, if we spend less that we can also use it on a monitor?

    Ben

Instead of a lot of processor speed, you need a lot of memory and a second fast hard drive large enough for your audio files... Hearing works best when there are separate hard disks for operating system and storage.  What operating system do you intend to run on it?

You use a license key in Volme - and this key usage has been limited to one region, probably because the owner of the key or MS has noticed that the key was abused, but the owner has too many devices in this area to be able to easily change the key or the operating system on all, so they opted for the more expensive option.

If you are a member of this organization, contact your system administrator - if not, then your installation is a counterfeit.

It seems that your machine came with a version of Windows installed - for which version and edition of Windows is allowed, according to the COA sticker on the case?

  • Reasons for introducing functions of data base for Discoverer Reporting needs

    Hi all

I would like to know what other organizations have used in creating functions of custom database specifically for Discoverer statement needs criteria. It seems good and appropriate identify these reasons so they have a pretty good reason (for example by presenting it to a change management board).

    Here is a quick slide:

    -query explain plan improvements
-remove the complexity of having the end user to cope with complex calculations
-uniformity of a value (for example a calculation complex depreciation)
-an attribute is used in a table of load with a minimum cardinality of zero

Any who can list other good reasons in terms of reports of discoverer?

    Thank you

    Patrick

Published by: Patrick Bacon on July 15, 2009 10:30

    Hi Patrick
In addition to the reasons you gave reasons to have functions anyway apply just as Discoverer as they do in other applications.

In General, the main reasons why I would use a function are:

    (a) the complexity of the code, or
    (b) what an end user could not do or doesn't have access to evaluate.

For example if a user must have the aggregations of several tables side by side in a report, usually tables that don't have any join between them, I write functions to fetch the individual results.

One specific function that I use a lot is one that calculates the number of days between any given two days. Some of my clients HR use this function to calculate the number of days of illness of an employee when obviously only working days should count. It would be very difficult to do this in a calculation of normal discoverer. Retail customers could use to calculate the number of days it took to the ship and to.

There are other reasons for which I use the functions, but these are the most typical.

    Best wishes

I need to reinstall my CS6 on my PC.  I installed it on this computer for 2 years now, but anyway half of subsequently moved to one of my hard drives and the other half is on the other.  I'm sure to remove both drives and reinstall on the larger hard drive?  I am a student and single MOM, and I can't afford the monthly subscription for the CC7.  If it does not somehow, I'll miss my classes.

If the largest is the primary drive then it is safer than any other installation option, but all uninstall/reinstall can present problems.  If the software currently works very well, I would say that leave well enough alone if your future depends on software work.  Before you delete anything, remember to disable by opening an application and by choosing Help-> Deactivate.

I just got an error message at startup, which reads: execution of data path: to protect your computer, Windows has closed this program: name: request for logon Userinit, Publisher: Microsoft.  My pc is under Windows XP SP2. I think that different multiple verisons of software "virus protection" began to appear in the Explorer. I know that they do not belong on my computer. I tried to close them, but they just kept moving forward. I'm trying to find some help to solve the problem. Moreover, when I close the window of Data Execution Prevention error message, I have my bottom, no other other icons for one of my programs are on the screen. Help... This can be corrected?

    Thanks in advance.

    Carter2009,
If you started having 'Magical' Antivirus programs to appear on your system that you do not install, then you are infected.  Some people may be painful to remove, to others not so much.  I recommend http://www.malwarebytes.org/ for malware protection and http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ for antivirus.

But now you're in a bit of a place.  I download Malware Bytes and put it on a USB key.  Then see if you can boot in safe mode and run MalwareBytes.  If you're not in safe mode, take a look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318027

  • How's this for a specification of PC for video editing at home?

OK - we decided to get the new PC now, focused around the decent performance for editing video at home when we do.   Any comments on the bottom would be greatly appreciated.  I tried to put in my 'principles', but as you note, I've highlighted a few issues around these.

    Principles

    * Computer decent for video editing - so when we do he want it to be reasonable from a performance point of view (don't no annoying).  Also want insurance for the video data that a single HARD drive crash does not mean data loss.

    * Hard Drive Configuration - take RAID 1 for data
    • C: 500 GB - OS (1 x 500 GB)
    • D: 500 GB - Swap area for o/s (1 x 500 GB)
    • E: RAID 1 redundancy for data (2 x 1 TB)
    * 64 - bit Windows 7 Pro

    * Questions about the principles
    1. Is it really useful to have a separate drive (drive D :) for Swap?
    2. Y at - it no real need to have a drive F: (another) for exports?  It's non-real time so it shouldn't be a question need?
    3. No improvement major re tell the SSD C:? (or not worth the sum of $)
    4. SATA II and SATA III readers? (I assumed that both are ok when picking)

    The Spec

    • CPU - Intel Core i7 960 processor 3.2 GHz, 8 MB Cache CPU LGA1366
    • Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R X 58 + ICH10R QPI 6.4 Gbit / s DDR3 2000 PCI - Ex16 SATAII SATA3 USB3.0 RAID GLAN ATX
    • RAM - Kingston 12GB 1333 MHz(PC3-10600) KIT (3X4G)
    • Video card - NVIDIA GTX560 - OC of Gigabyte GTX560 1 G GDDR5 PCIE DualLink DVI [? corresponds to the motherboard / is - this an exaggeration?]
    • RAID card - Adaptec AAR1220SA-SGL SATAII RAID0 1 JBOD/2 PORT/low profile/PCIEx1/OEM/No cables [? is this ok - looks cheap?]
    • Drive (no RAID) - 2 x 500 G Western Digital RE4 SATAII 7200 RPM disk HARD Enterprise 64 MB [? only SATAII is ok not?]
    • Case - CoolerMaster RC-942-KKN1 HAF X 942 black No. PSU [? this is an exaggeration - someone just took recommendation here?]
    • Power supply - Corsair HX-850 ATX Power Supply w 140mm modular cables [? power ok?]  Yet once just took a recommendation?]
    • O/s - 64 bit - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OEM (Microsoft OEM terms & conditions apply)

Note - I'm looking at the local site following re where the source if this helps: http://www.umart.com.au

    Jeff,

    Thanks for that!

    Greg,

Continues on and still pretty clueless on the elements...

-video card - I don't think that the elements has the Mercury Playback Engine (MPE) available (someone please confirm here), so a way less compatible video card may suffice; I didn't suggest that

-J' forgot to mention before, cooler provided Intel dump and go with at least a Cooler Master 212 model; It is best to keep your CPU cool, and if ever you want to dabble in Overclocking of your i7-950 (harm has a very good guide for beginners of Overclocking on this forum) a 3rd party cooler will be essential

-2 WD 2 to 64 MB black should be good for a RAID1 data reader

    Or...

First Pro CS5 update, go with the MSI GTX 460 Hawk (overclock to 850 MHz) and the massive profits of EMT! Maybe someone here can comment that used before elements with needs similar workflow that he might stand to gain?

  • is a registry cleaner program a good investment for a slow computer?

    Hello.

My computer is slow and late, most of the time when I go on facebook the freez the computer for 10-15 seconds, then the page comes on. The more problems I have on facebook is when I go to the games (the game will load completely and before it begins, it closes and recharge again.) Sometimes it's just the game freez and I click on "Home" to leave the game and I have to return the game to continue playing). Now, the problem is not only on Facebook, I use it as an example. I searched on google and I want to know if a registry cleaner might help. Some websites you says it's good, some sites say it's a scam most registers are useless. I'm running on Windows Vista business and I have Kaspersky Lab Internet Security 2013, and I have my computer, run a defrag every week. If I need a registry, I saw a couple of sites for this and the other says it's best 'RegClean Pro' and another said 'RegZooka.  Also is there a Web site that is 'kosher' and reliable software. There are SO many scams.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Yves.

    Absolutely not. Most are scams.

In any case, those who are not is dangerous. There is no central reference to the registry. Each program or driver, including Windows, it uses as it sees fit. Recommended by microsoft parts are specified by a particular product with no coordination team. Noone has knowledge of a deep understanding of the tens of thousands of programs.

The unused parts of the registry do not affect the registry.
