This process will modernize my A1to 4.0

I found this on a blog site, the file download and procedure. I wonder if it actually works. I don't want to try it and my A1 brick.

http://techno-Pro.blogspot.ca/2012/06/tutorial-install-Android-ice-cream.html

It's a bad idea to try it if you don't know * exactly * what you're doing. You can certainly get your A1 in a State that won't start, which will require considerable effort to correct.

After our previous discussions, I would say that it would be better for you not to follow this procedure.

In XP, you can cleanup and optimize it in some way, by using the following tips:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.

4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

I have Windows XP Professional running on a desktop older.  I cleaned the disk and I would use it only as a 'internet '.  It works well and response times are pretty fast, but when I connect I get a box that says "Please wait while Windows configures FAX"... this process stops and I get another message that says "the component you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or another removable disk that is not available", "put the 'FAX' disk and click OK. , "" Use Source: '1' "»

The first question is I do not use a fax application and never did, I have tried every disk I can think of to complete the process, but I get the same message with each one 'the path '1' is not found. Before you buy Windows 7 it will modernize my Windows XP?

First, see if your computer meets the Windows 7 system requirements:

    o 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64) processor
    o 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

You can try a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Now that you are on the factory settings, I advise Dell DataSafe Local Backup uninstall and upgrade to the latest version of Dell backup and restoration which has many bugs/improvements, including the ability to restore to another hard drive which is useful in case the hard disk fails in the future or you decide to upgrade later to an SSD. The XPS 8300 running perfectly with a SSD, I have mine put in place with one. Then you can create a Rescue Disk (external hard drive Bootable) or Backup factory (Bootable USB Flash Drive) that will be promoted the recovery compared to the facts media with Dell DataSafe Local Backup. I use a site that now has the following statement:

In addition, we will also stop the support for the Security Protocol Internet TLS 1.1 on 1 September. This means you must update your browser to use this site. So I got a Mac on OS X El Capitan and I can't use sudo from the admin; Yes the main admin, I repeat, ADMIN account. Whenever I use a sudo command, the error message appears.

«(Name of the Admin) is not in the sudoers file.»  This incident will be reported. »

How can I fix? This is not ordinary.

First of all, it is not a "main ADMIN' - it is not Windows. Any user can be configured to administer the Mac. Nothing is special about one.

As for the sudoers file, if you do not have an account that can access (including your admin, again, the ADMIN can not), you cannot change it.

There are several ways to create a new admin account. And here's one: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/164331/i-don ' t-have-administrator-account t-on-my-mac

If Yes, then you should just start Internet recovery, wipe the drive completely and reinstall OS X. That will fix the problem for you and all the others left by the previous owner.
