A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... and download Adobe Reader 11.0 installation base.

Then download each individual updates and run them sequentially.

I installed back to the last update of security which is version 08 and were able to register under normal operations.

You will need to disable the automatic updates to keep up with the 08 version, until Adobe fixes this problem in a future release.

  • My Windows Vista will be able to do a permanent upgrade to Windows 7 If this isn't an activated version?

My Windows Vista allow not even put it in my contract. I raised this issue with Microsoft here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_update/windows-authorization-failed/1eb76641-c316-4cee-b9f2-07822b2ca07d?page=1&tm=1331999060993#footer but have not yet followed the suggestions of the last answer. My windows is unauthorized. But with many errors that occur on the computer, some hardware (RAM) and other software, I thought that it would be better to simply upgrade to Windows 7. But before I'm ready to do a permanent upgrade, I need to know if a version of Windows Vista will be able to upgrade to Windows 7. A licensed version of Windows Vista was purchased by us, and a licensed version of Windows 7 will be bought when you're ready to upgrade. Is this possible? Or Windows Vista must first be authenticated?

EDIT: upgrade is also done if all goes well to avoid having to go through the whole process to fix my problem with windows authentication as described in the last post on the link above.

  • I had a computer with a dead HDD p6510f so I thought the upgrade also.

HP pavilion p6510f, Win 7, 4 GB of ram with a dead hard drive. I thought to upgrade the Athlon II X 4 630 to a Phenom II X 6 1045T at the same time to get more power calculation, but for the money I am better doing a map of graffiti instead? I'm not a gamer but do a lot with the video and it's a little slow. I also plan to go with a 32 or 64 GB of SSD to put the operating system and a 500G to 1 t hard drive to store data. How can I get the xtra power for additional components connectors?

    se77,

A simple reading of the plug on the upgrade of processor p6510f reflects no Pheom II X 6 support: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02153181

But you could add more RAM motherboard.

As Danjen said, the addition of a new graphics card will require a new higher power PSU.

  • Hi, I'm trying to enable my ipod touch to access the internet via an adhoc network on my computer microsoft vista but only get local only = for example no internet. Any suggestions?

The ad hoc network is set up and seems to work with reception on the computer and the ipod. I tried it with ICS enabled on the side ad-hoc wireless and lan internet side with no luck. The TCP/IP protocol seem fine. The onlything that appears bad is that in the network and sharing window, network adhoc Committee has 'local only' in the access panel.

Also all the sharing and discovery options are turned on as well.

Any suggestions why internet is not going through?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting an unmountable_boot_volume during the upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows Vista.  It occurs after Windows 7 software loads and restarts.  If I restart the computer, I have the option to start the upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows Vista.  If I select Windows Vista, the computer restarts without problem.  If I choose Windows 7 Upgrade, I get the blue screen of death with the unmountable_boot_volume error.  Of course, nothing wrong with the boot volume because Windows Vista starts without error.  The boot drive is 1.5 TB.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish the upgrade to Windows 7?

  • The upgrade in Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate

    Hello

I HAV downloaded the ISO file following from the MSDN (en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460.iso) site for the upgrade from Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

How should I now improve my OS from Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.  Double-click the ISO file says that Windows cannot open the file.  How can I open the file?  Should it be converted into a .exe file.  If so, how?

    Thank you.

A .iso file is an image of a dvd.  It is not a program or data file.  You need to burn this image on a dvd with your burning program.  Copy disc, burn to disc.  We'll then work the disc in your optical drive.
