Throw the notification of dynamic action.

So I have this code simple PL/SQL that checks to see if a record exists in the database.  If it isn't, then it adds the new record to a collection to be used later.  If so, I would like to throw a notification so that the user knows that there is.  However, I have tried a multitude of thins and cannot operate.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm under APEX 4.2.4.00.08.

Here's the code that runs when data was put in the P1003_SLIDE_NUMBER field and pressing the Enter key.  The code in bold is where I am wrong.  I just want to take a message to let them know that the entry already exists.

DECLARE

NUMBER of existing;

BEGIN

Select count (*)

in existing

of ps_slides

where slide_number =: P1003_SLIDE_NUMBER;

IF existing = 0 and: P1003_SLIDE_NUMBER is not null THEN

() apex_collection.add_member

p_collection_name = > "SLIPS."

p_c001 = >: P1003_SLIDE_NUMBER);

: P1003_SLIDE_COUNT: =: P1003_SLIDE_COUNT + 1;

ON THE OTHER

apex_application.g_notification: = 'this slide exists already.';

END IF;

END;

Hello

You should be able to define the message via

apex_application.g_print_success_message := 'ANY MESSAGE YOU LIKE';

But it shows that if you create a branch to the page itself or any other page (depending on where you want to go) and 'understand the message of success of process' true to this branch.

If above still does not work:

Is you click on the button send the page, or it only executes PL/SQL a DA?

If you do not submit the page that would be an option and the Branch then return to this page again?

Can you set up an example on apex.oracle.com?

    Hi everyone, I posted this question in the past and made huge strides with the help of Denes Kubicek: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=31517:294:115851992029365: based on my previous question posted: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2537494

    I'm fighting with a single element in my tabular presentation.  There is a radio button.  The choices all seem correctly, but the value is not saved in the collection (and therefore not recorded in the table).  All the other elements in the form of tables to record properly.

    Here's what I have for the query.   This is element c024 (which maps to;) ("F03'), which is defined as a radio based on an existing LOV LOV.

    I noticed the following:

    When I change the column C011 (price) the following values are defined in dynamic action:

    P110_ID = f11_1

    P110_VALUE is everything that I change the price.

    When I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are defined:

    P110_ID = f03_0001

    P110_VALUE = change everything what I hms_flag to.

    the region is updated in my dynamic action, and change of hms_flag does not take.  I tested the SQL query that generates the value of v_SEQ in the dynamic action.   Both a change of price and HMS_FLAG, it seems valid

    Select ltrim (substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0 ') in the double v_seq;

    If f11_1, v_seq: = 1

    If f03_0001, v_seq: = 1

    Thank you!

    solved.  sort of.

    domain c024 references f03.

    dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculated v_member as a substring of P110_ID... and in all other areas, the column and the field (fxx) displayed the same value... otherwise c024.

    I'm not exactly sure how solve it, but see the problem.

  • refresh the report with dynamic action title

    Hi all

    I have a report that is updated with dynamic action. When the update is done, first the value of two hidden variables are defined (P2_ID and P2_NAME) and are subject (using a dynamic action type "pl/sql", with the code "null"; and items to submit page: P2_ID, P2_NAME).

    In the report query, I use: P2_ID in the where clause. Everything works like a charm! The only thing that doen't work, is the title of the region: which is defined as "properties of & P2_NAME.", but the title is not updated when the report is refreshed.

    Is there a solution for this? I hope I am clear enough.

    See Re: dynamic action - update

    If you are right; the native just Refresh action updates the content of the report, it does not perform & POINT. substitutions throughout the region.

    What you could do is use a RANGE named as the title as

    &P2_NAME.

    and add a REAL action to your dynamic Action to set the title using Javascript to run code

    $s('my_title',$v('P2_NAME'));

    I hope this helps.

  • Back to zero/recalculate value if the element with dynamic action

    Hi all

    What I have is a part of "total amount". When the other elements on the form are filled, these values are subtracted from the total. My problem is that when a few points to say a filled out, but then set to zero, the figure in the total does not reset. If no new figure added, are more excluded.

    For example:
    total = 10
    Value of 1 changed to 5. Total = 5.
    Value of item 2 changed to 1. Total = 4.
    Value of 1 changed to 2. Total = 2.

    I find it tricky is because the total is derived from an action of current setpoint led other points. Finally, I would like to reset or re - run the calculation for the total, without duplicating the original action of the set value. I tried to use a dynamic action "Refresh" but I don't think that work in this way. Is there another way?

    Why not save the original value to an item hidden page (or even in a global variable set before you run the JS calculation for the first time in javascript).
    During the reset, set the value of the element with the value of the hidden (or variable).

  • Refresh the zone using dynamic action

    Hello

    I have a page in my application with two different regions. First region has a selection list and second region has a report and the report query uses the value of the selection as a variable binding list.

    I created a dynamic action to refresh the report region when the value of the selection list is changed.

    It works very well and the report is updated after changing the value, but once the updated report of State lines are different.

    When I move the mouse over the lines, the background color changes and when I move the mouse from the line, it does not scale to the original color.

    Is this a bug?

    Thank you
    Machaan

    Hi Machaan,

    good news, the problem reproduced no more on APEX 4.0.2 which will be our next group of hotfixes.

  • using s condition for the execution of a java script with dynamic action

    I use the universal theme of apex 5 I have a form and I needed his label to be changed dynamically

    I used the following code to change the name of the field.

    $('label[for="P458_COMPANY"]').html('INSTITUTE/SCHOOL/COLLEGE');

    I used the loading of the page as dynamic action.

    the two mvisible and mid are oracle functions. .mvisible returns a Boolean result.

    And I need JavaScript to be triggered when the following function returns true...

    If mvisible (mid ()) = true then

    $('label[for="P458_COMPANY"]').html('INSTITUTE/SCHOOL/COLLEGE');

    end if;

    How can I get this done... In page load status?

    Or should I change the java script code.

    All information must be assessed

    Tell you that mvisible (mid ()) is a javasript function?

    Where it is then please try this:

    The status of PL/SQL can be deleted.

    The event is not what is important in this regard.

  • With the help of JavaScript condition in the dynamic action of JQuery selector

    Hi guys,.

    I have a Setup master detail on a page.

    The detail section, I have a tabular presentation.  One of the fields is a selection list.  The first record in the select contains the value * not * that has a value of primary key for the 1.  I have a distinct region with a simple text field where the user can insert a value into the table if the value does not exist.

    I want than the region of text element to only appear if the value * not listed * is selected.

    I managed to make it work when the value is selected with the help of dynamic action with a bit of JQuery and JavaScript by setting the ID on the selection list to 'create' and have the following in JavaScript $(this.triggeringElement) .val ()! = 1 in the JavaScript for dynamic action condition shows it or hides the region of 'create' and that works well.

    However, if the secondary table is empty before the detail records were created (nothing selected in triggering jQuery Selector) the region of create is displayed when I don't want it.

    I guess I need some sort of NVL in JavaScript condition?

    I use APEX v4.2.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Simple solution is to hide the region containing the element of text by default, using the style = "" view: no ' in the property of the attributes of the area in the region. " It will be always hidden when the page initially, but its visibility will be controlled by the DA subsequently.

  • How the dynamic Action to update several items based on a JavaScript Expression producing a table?

    Using APEX 4.2.

    I have the list of selection using a LOV which returns a display value and a value separated by a comma e.g. return 'reserved to items' and "66,88" or "Available items" and "90,23".

    I want that return values for example "66,88" to be assigned to two my form fields.

    I have a dynamic action that fires when the field with the changes of the list/select-LOV. I am using an action of 'Set value' and set 'Expression JavaScript' with the expression itself type value ' $v("P1_MY_SELECT_LIST").split(",") and using Type "Article (s)' selection and listing the two points that I want to set as the items in question (from the description of the JavaScript expression field it appears that a table of the results would be assigned to the changed items , in the order.

    However, the original value of the LOV return value is passed to the first of the elements concerned (complete with the comma if the original return value was of the form '10')

    If I add more REAL action of the JavaScript "alert (" HELLO "+ $v ("P1_MY_SELECT_LIST") .split (", ") [0] +" WORLD "+ $v("P1_MY_SELECT_LIST").split (", ") [1]" ") I * see two expected values.»

    Any ideas what I could do wrong?

    The action 'Set value' affects the value specified to all affected elements: a value to one or more items. To set a different value at different points, you need several actions "Set value", or simply use javascript to do it in one.

    Even if you use a javascript expression that corresponds to a table, the table is just being converted to a string again. It creates a mapping of some sort. That is why for example with '10', she also translated as such. Actually you set this value to these two elements: ' 10, ".split(",").toString () (implicit in the chain of course).

    The code makes it very obvious that it doesn't handle values, as described in the help of the element. Aid is not correct or is the implementation simply not here yet?

    Just look at the javascript for dynamic actions, images/libraries/apex/dynamic_actions.js, service da.setValue directory file:

        function _setValue( pValue ) {
            lAffectedElements$.each( function( i ) {
                // Set all affected elements to the value passed
                $s( this, pValue, null, lSuppressChangeEvent );
            });
            /* Resume execution of actions here and pass false to the callback, to indicate no
            error has occurred. */
            da.resume( lResumeCallback, false );
        }

    And when you use a javascript expression:

        } else if ( lSetType === "JAVASCRIPT_EXPRESSION" ) {
            _setValue( lJavaScriptExpression.call( this ));

    It's pretty simple. (and this is checked on apex 5. It's the same on 4.2)

    Select the column name as the name of column d, r

    Boxes are just another way to make a LOV. For a dynamic set of checkboxes, the standard pair of value/label LOV SQL projection is required in the definition:

    select initcap(dname) l, to_char(deptno, 'tm9') v from dept
    order by v asc

    If additional values are required, they can be included in the query using unions:

    select initcap(dname) l, to_char(deptno, 'tm9') v from dept
    union all
    select 'Other', 'OTHER' from dual
    order by 2 asc

    Checkbox events can be handled by dynamic actions as indicated on page 586 of your test App. Note that I prefer to enable and disable the controls on form rather than hiding and showing them that there is less confusion for the user. It is simple to change the disable/Enable dynamic actions to hide and show if necessary.

  • dynamic action sets the value of the element, but not save to DB on submit

    I'm working on a page where the value of several to show only the page elements are defined using a dynamic Action.  They are set when the user selects a value in a list of selection (and is based on the value of the selection list).  Dynamic action is triggered on a list selection change event and then runs the real action "set the value.  The selection list displays the names of sales representative.  The three fields dynamically filled are the org structure (that is, their chain management).

    For the action to set the value, I use a defined Type of SQL statement:

    Select VP, DIR, MGR

    of SALES_ORG where SSR =: P20_SSR

    In the affected elements, I have fixed Type of selection to the 'item (s)"and the value of the Item (s) for 'P20_GVP, P20_DIR, P20_MGR.

    Dynamic action works fine for the display of the page (that is, when I select a sales representative in the selection list dynamic action properly updated only display value fields three).  This page is a form in which the user submits information relating to the rep.  When the page is sent, all fields are filled in a new record of DB with the exception of three that were populated dynamically above.  These fields get the values NULL.

    When the dynamic action updates the values in the three fields is - it does not set the value of session?  Why these fields don't are not taken into account in the submit other ideas > process Page?

    I use 5 APEX with Chrome on Mac (Yosemite).

    Thanks for the note.  I didn't only display the items could not be used in this way.  I think I'll take a different approach with the design; given that the org structure is in another table that I can simply refer to that by rep when necessary rather than saving the information uploaded to the page of the form.  The reason why I have not fill the screen only the points of loading the page is because I don't know what the values should be until the user selects a sales representative in the selection list.

    I'll change the design to one of the following:

    1) change the display only items of standard text field.  NOTE: if I make the text read-only field that causes other problems when loading (I get the message "violation of protection Session state").

    OR

    2) do not include org structure in the download folder and just refer to table org Rep when necessary.

    Thank you!

  • How do dynamic actions using work to set the value in all browsers?

    I'm having a problem of incompatibility between browsers with dynamic actions to help to set the value.  Dynamic action works like a charm on Chrome but has no effect on IE or Firefox.  The code in oracle.apex.com and here are the credentials:

    Workspace: DDBA

    Username: [email protected]

    Password: redtruck12

    These codes is on page 3 and here are the details:

    There are two lists of report (Standard and special) and some reports require additional information provided in the lists of selection or text boxes.

    If the user selects a report select Standard requiring a list/text box, then the dynamic action sets the value of the special reports to NULL (and vice versa).

    Dynamic action is to prevent a simultaneous Standard reports and special selection.  To see how it works on Chrome, follow these steps:

    1. Run the Page 3
    2. Select the "Search report" option in the list Report Standard .  A text 'Search criteria' box
    3. Select the option 'Release report' in the list of special reports .  A selection list appears and disappears from the text box 'search criteria '.

    If you do the same on IE or Firefox, the text box does not disappear.

    Hi Edward,.

    Please check page 4 of your app, I made a copy of your page and made a few changes:

    I have set up an example of dynamic action 1 this hanles the report and special report selection list.

    Dynamic action games, select the value of the selection list and he accompanies in detail the report lists to null and then submits the page.

    For this I have deleted the page submit events to the time the report and special report select lists. Instead I handed them a HTML class. The dynamic action is triggered by a change of this category of html.

    When the trigger is the report selection list, select special report is set to null. Also underlying selection sub lists are set to null.

    When the trigger is the special report selection list, the selection of the report is set to null. Also underlying selection sub lists are set to null.

    The two end of the action with a "Send" page to manage the show and hide appropriate items. Note that there is a lag in time due to the submission of the page. As I have suggested, it would be treated better by a refresh of the region. On the other hand you depend on now submit for the continuation of the treatment of your page. With the help of an update of the region would require a work more javascript and cost more redisgn of your page. If you need IE8 support, additional javsascript likely to cause other unexpected behaviors. In other words, a page is maybe in your case probably better then an update of the region after all.

    I checked this page 4, Chrome, Firefox and IE (latest version) and I get the same behavior in all browsers.

    Kind regards

  • Dynamic action based on the value in a table

    Greetings,

    I would like to use a dynamic action to disable a button depending on the value selected/entry in a field in tabular form. Thus, for example, if someone enters the value "LKSG", then a button is disabled (in this case, the 'Add Row' button).

    How I would do this using the tools of dynamic measurements? When I create a dynamic action, I see that my choice of Type 'selection' for dynamic action of shooting is point, area, button, object DOM, jQuery Selector. I don't know how to use a field in a presentation of tabular to firing. Or if it is possible.

    I use APEX version 4.1.1.00.23
