Thumbnails rotating

I use the URL action to generate stamps for large files to image and for some reason any that he is turning images, which I've never seen happen elsewhere.

Here is the natural image file: http://seasonsdowneastdesigns.businesscatalyst.com/_photos/galleries/wedding-reception/IMG _0166.JPG

And here the image of the generated Action: http://seasonsdowneastdesigns.businesscatalyst.com/_photos/galleries/wedding-reception/IMG _0166.JPG? Action = thumbnail & width = 970 & height = 693 & algorithm = proportional

No idea why it would turn like that? And is it possible to prevent that from happening?

Thank you! Larry

It is a massive image directly off a camera and not optimized for the web.

I guess that there are data of camera in there, causing the algorithm to make it funny. Open your computer save it optimized for the web, remove and reload and just give it a go.

Some Images open in a new window or tab are backwards or rotates 90 degrees, but they appear in the correct position when you use Internet EXPLORER.

I don't even know if it's a browser or a browser-server interaction problem. The problem manifests a certain user forums where members post jpg images that appear as thumbnails. "I can right-click and select"Open in new window"or open in a new tab. Either way some images open OK, some open pivot 90 degrees out of position sometimes upside down. If I use Internet EXPLORE the same images will open on the right side.

Not in bold. Looks like this:
    Layout.CSS.image - orientation.enabled; true
    Status: default

Laughing out loud! But if I double-click on it replaces:
    Layout.CSS.image - orientation.enabled; false
    Set of users of status
    Boolean type

Now when I right-click the image and select either "open in new tab" or "open in new window" the image is right-side up!

  • Photos has some black and some thumbnails "whites."

I was a good boy. Centuries ago, I migrated form iPhoto for pictures. I let my mac do everything for me. Go me!

Looking back on my photos, a few vignettes are glorious color. Some are black, some are white broken. Open the thumbnail, and there's a real picture. So please, what is happening, and how I knit it back together?

"Select one of the ' bad ' thumbnails and make rotate 90 degrees and rotate back - that fixed it? If not you can select a back rotation them then turn to a large group of pictures (up to 1000)

  • Thumbnail images in Photos Apple have square rose in 'Years' & 'Collections '.

A few photos Apple thumbnails are appearing with odd squares, pink when I display Photos Apple mode in 'Years' & 'Collections'. When I change the display mode of "Collections" the strange visual artifacts disappear. I have a brand new (end of 2015) 4.0 GHZ i7 iMac with monitor 27 inches 5 k and has the same behavior miniature bizzare unheard of before. Weird that it's pink artifacts appear in only a few thumbnails of 2012 and 2013 but no other years of my photos that go from 2001 to 2016. I've upgraded to OSX 10.11.6 a week ago and I scrambed the order of all of my albums. I wonder if this could be related to the upgrade. Very puzzled.

your question is a bit confusing because there is no "years and collections" - view in the Photos you can see years or moments or a single photo collections

If you select one of these "miniature bad" and do rotate 90 degrees then back fotate it solve the problem?

  • not identical to the photo thumbnail

I use Photos 1.5 running OS 10.11.4 on a Macbook Pro.

My photo library is 170 GB. Things seem to work. BUT...

Sometimes (often) when I double click on a photo to see the image thumbnail for this photo in the thumbnail column on the left shows a completely different picture.

I rebuilt my photo library several times, but the problem remains.

Try to rebuild the thumbnails by rotating back.  This will create new thumbnails.

You can select several thumbnails at once, enter ⌘R, and then ⌥⌘R key combination to turn their back.

Rotation is lossless editing and can be done in Thumbnails view.  But not to select all thumbnails at once, try it in smaller batches.

See this tip: How to rebuild the thumbnails in a photo library

    Ideas please?

The solution is to turn and then turn back like you did and oadf of course to always have a good backup for when things go b

  • How to regenerate the thumbnails of the Photos after the restoration of hard drive?

    Hello!

A few weeks ago, our drive hard iMac failed and was repaired under the hard drive replacement program. I have restored our our last backup system, but all of our photo in photo thumbnails are black or white with no details. When we open a photo, that is, but the thumbnails are not visible, making navigation impossible.

I tried to repair the library. Who did nothing.

I tried to turn the photos. Turning the last import (300 photos) two-way regenerated the thumbnails OK, but it took 6.5 minutes. I 80 000 pictures. According to my estimate, that makes a little more than 12 days (assuming a linear extrapolation, in any case), during which my CPU will be under a lot of stress.

I also noticed that the rotation thing has no effect for videos.

So I thought, as a last resort before putting my Mac in two weeks of enforced non-toucher, I would like to ask if anyone had other ideas.

Also, does anyone know how to regenerate the photos to the videos?

    Thanks in advance!

    -Mike

Try first to turn a lot of direction tiles 90 ° and 90 ° backward.  See if that will restore them.  If it works then make lots at once, not the entire library.

If it does not try to repair the library according to the instructions in this document to Apple: Repair Your Library.

Warning: If you use iCloud photo library with Photos, this operation will lead to Photos to upload all your pictures again (of difficulty missing or incorrect thumbnails in photo - Apple Support).

  • by clicking on the thumbnail opens a different photo

When I click on a totally different photo thumbnail is displayed in the main window.

Try this quick test: select a thumbnail and make couple rotate one direction and back rotation.  Make the thumbnail show the correct image?

If this does not fix the library according to the instructions in this document from Apple: fix your library.

Note: If you use iCloud photo library with Photos, this operation will lead to Photos to upload all your pictures again (of difficulty missing or incorrect thumbnails in photo - Apple Support).

  • Loading an image in QImage sometimes has the wrong rotation

I am loading an Image into QImage - to say - the camera - but sometimes the Rotation is not correct.

Any way to solve this problem?

Yes, but it is nowhere near as easy as it should be.

Basically, you need to use libexif to read the properties of rotating the image, then use the QTransform to spin to the correct orientation.

This patch usually appears when I did the search for examples on how to do and seems to pretty much cover the process:

    0001-fetch-orientation-using-libexif-rotate-thumbnails.patch of the nemo-qml-plugins package

  • How to turn off Windows 8 photo auto rotation

Is there a way to disable the function of automatic rotation for photo thumbnails in the Windows 8 desktop? I would like to be able to adjust them manually. Thanks in advance.

This isn't really a feature, but file Explorer finally respecting the tag rotation on JPEG files. You must correct the rotation yourself using an application such as Photo Gallery, which comes with Windows Essentials.

  • Rotate a single track?

    Hello:

I've created a brush which is supposed to mimic the seam and I wish I could turn a 'point' or stroke at a time...                              (I have rasterized form)

I used the Ctrl + click on the thumbnail of forms to make a selection and then selection > modify > contract

and then I went to the palette drawn, and in the drop down / fly on the menu I chose to create a track work and then...

I right click on the thumbnail of paths of work and chose: trace the path > brush (chose my custom brush)

I manipulated the path as much as possible create curves to the need but...

I still need to change stitches...

If I remember correctly, I think I read somewhere that I can use a Marquee Selection tool individual brushes (which are part of the same path) to rotate or move/move in general

However, I can't seem to make it work for me... so, I think I forgot a step or I'm totally wrong.

I can turn a single track? is there a way to "separate" as in Illustrator or another kind of creature Ps who will help me to do what I want to do? I'm always looking for the manual, but I'm probably asking the wrong questions.

    Bcase-forum.png

above is an example of what I'm trying to explain... all dashes are on a path, but I would like to be able to turn one at the time (as in the red circle)

is this possible? I tried to paint 'em everything manually, but it is not eventually look nice at all.

your time and efforts and alternative ideas are greatly appreciated.

hope your good and having a good day/evening

You're confusing workflow to AI and PS. Select and transform would only work in artificial intelligence, and even then only after expansion the appearance to convert the race to fill objects. PS I had simply used the layer style dotted on a duplicate of the layer outline and resize it accordingly...

  • Photo auto rotation to importation into LR3?

    Hello!

When you import directly from a card in LR3, vertical pictures are displayed correctly in the library, but JPEG files are not turned in the file system.

This isn't a problem if you change with CS5, or export the photos. In these cases they are handled appropriately.

However if you change by something else (in the filters of my Topaz case via Topaz Fusion Express), the pictures are not properly turned.

    Context: W7x64, LR3, cameras (EOS5D, G10) set for auto-rotation 'on '.

Any idea on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much!

  • Intro to simple photo without thumbnails?

Hi, I think that this may be so simple that people aren't tutorials on it, but Ive been looking forever. How to make a simple flash without thumbnails slideshow intro? I just want 5 or so photos to do a quick fade fade in, on a loop, contained in a table inside my home page of my site. All the tutorials I've found are for a gallery and thumbnails. I want something like this: www.halebob.com. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You can create a slide show basis without code to import the images in the library, converting them to symbols and then add them to the timeline sequencially.  Here is a link to a tutorial...
