Thunderbird, constantly asking for passwords by e-mail

Thunderbird has worked for years OK but recently decided to ask for passwords of e-mail, and then ask again, several times, even though I told it to remember using pw Manager. When pw is given, he just keeps asking until I have abandon. Receives emails from Gmail, but I can't send Tbird. No problem with gmail itself as I can connect directly and send and receive mail, but then I get a message from gmail on Tbird telling me that I just connected via my browser. All very disappointing.

most common cause defective or reach products anti antivirus.

Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.

I get a constant pop up asking me a network password

    Janice Hello,

Usually if you get a popup window requesting a password it is because the application details are incorrect or out of date.

You can stop this by ensuring that the details in the application are correct and then asking him to remember the password, if the password is correct, that he will not ask for a password.

Network connections, IMAP/POP3 in Outlook etc. accounts are examples of things than that.

  • Slick graphic email asking for passwords

I know that windows live team does not ask for passwords, but I received an email so smooth, that everyone would be fooled by the latter. It's Msn-Live-Hotmail Curtomer CareTMR advertising new ways to connect.  "Windows live Essentials never ceases to evolve with two fun new features, great for the holidays"

It is signed Steve Craddock with hot graphics and advertisements.  very official looking.  It is (give it it far e-mail return address) * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    Hi RichardSharkey,

You have antivirus software installed on your computer?

It seems that the email sent to you likely spam in itself. I would recommend you not to reveal personal information if you receive such an email in the future.

You can report abuse or Spam in Windows Live Hotmail in this link.

    (a) I would also recommend to run a virus scan online from the link given below and check if the problem persists.

    Microsoft safety scanner

If you already have an antivirus installed on your computer software, it is very important to maintain regularly updated with the latest updates (usually called definition files) that help the tool identify and remove the latest threats.

    (b) you can also download & run Microsoft Security Essentials on your computer.

  • iPhone keeps asking for password hotmail (iOS 10)

    Hello

I had this problem since upgrading to iOS iOS 10 9. I have 3 accounts hotmail on the iphone, once I get the password it will work properly for a period of time (usually one day) and then ask for passwords with a message indicating an error has occurred and iOS needs approval from hotmail again.

I noticed that this often happens when I wake up in the morning and I haven't used the iPhone for a few hours. This problem never arose on iOS 9. I've recently updated the iPhone 6 7 and the problem persists.

Is this a bug of iOS 10? I also tried to delete all my accounts and adding them again without success. My accounts do not use a two-step verification.

I am currently using iOS on iPhone 10.0.2 7

Hotmail is notoriously buggy.  For years.  Have you tried their forum for iOS 10 compatibility issues?  There may be suggestions from there.

Your email provider may reject your password for several reasons, including:

    • You do not use your current e-mail password. If you updated the password on another device, make sure you use the same password on this device.
    • Your email provider needs you to update or reset your password for security reasons. For example, if you have turned on googles two step of checking your Gmail account in Mail now requires the appropriate password app.

I have Windows 7 and LiveMail 2011.   My email was working fine this morning and now all of a sudden it kept asking for my password. I contacted Verizon. I changed the password and it works very well on Verizon webmail, but I can not yet send email from LiveMail.

  • Firefox keeps asking for password when I send emails

Firefox version 35.0. When I open Firefox and do pass on messages, no problem. When I write an e-mail and send it, Firefox asks me password. I am able to send and receive e-mail while open. If I close Firefox and open, it ask password when I send. Months ago, I changed my password to connect to Netzero.com (which made more secure). Since then, I had this annoying password request. How to satisfy the password login server for receive/send emails?

Is it asking for the password, or the web site of Firefox? The only time that
FF you will be asked a password is if you have the active master password
    in the Password Manager.

Open the Password Manager. There is a search bar on top of the
page. Enter the name of the site. Press the button view passwords.
What's the correct information? Note: maybe more then one entry there.

Left on the icon in the address bar. A display of site information window should appear. Select more information. At the top of the window, select Security. Now select passwords saved view.

What do you mean by "the page e-mail always open automatically?  If you mean that the WLM program opens, it is a normal behavior. You will ask for a password when you click send/receive.

Do you mean a password you want before WLM opens at all?  If so, it is not feasible.  I know not all programs Email works this way.

    Hi Suzanne

If you use the following settings:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > detection of wrist - on.

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: Watch My > password > enabled.

-Also on screen settings of password - unlock with iPhone turned on.

Then, after putting on your wrist, your watch will unlock after whatever you do first: unlock your watch manually (by entering the access code) or unlock your iPhone.

Then, it will remain unlocked (including when the screen is idle) until you remove it from your wrist. When you remove your watch, it locks automatically.
