  I tried to reload the firmware and this time it worked well and is not only all my old stuff still on the Clip + but I was able to add a small file without problems and properly access all folders of files, so THANKS for the suggestion and the problem solved!  BTW, I had 318MB of space on the Clip +, not KB...
