  to make it quite clear, Lightroom can't sync between two desktop computers. It can synchronize between only one computer and one or more mobile devices. Synchronization between computers has been a very requested feature, but Adobe has not given us yet. You will need to designate one of your computers as your main machine mounting and synchronization here. There are tricks to get all changes from one computer to another in phase, but these are not negligible and may corrupt catalog if you're not careful.

  Try to hold the alt/option key while you restart Lightroom. Make sure that the right catalog file is selected and click on the "integrity test" box to see if there is a problem with the catalog file that might be repaired.

• Vista does not complete upgrade on shut down

  I have Vista SP2 and keep the same problem: when I stopped by selecting the option install updates/Shut Down, the screen becomes blue and says "Installing updates 1 to 5."  If please do not unplug or power off the computer. "It stays on the screen for a while and then after about 1 minute passes to 'Shutting Down' and turns off.  What now happened several times in a row.  I can still operate the computer but would like to get these updates.  Any ideas?

• Mac can not find network Officejet 6500

  I have a Macbook Pro with Mac OS X 10.7.2

  Until some time ago, our HP Officejet 6500 has printing and scanning wireless without problem. Then when I went to print something the other day, the printer was no longer seen by the Mac.

  I wiped the network settings on the printer and re plugged on my network. The print Network Setup page indicates that the printer is connected to the wireless network. The mac is still the printer much. Open a browser and try to connect to the printer using its IP address do not work either - the browser connects.

  Does anyone have an idea as to what's going wrong? I downloaded the latest drivers from HP. The printer still works when it is connected with a USB cable, it's just apparently not visible on the network.

  OK, BT Homehubs are known to have problems with HP printers.  You can search these forums and find many cases.

  Try restarting the Homehub by pulling its plug momentarily.  What is fix?

  You might consider another router or an extra router.

  You are probably trying to install update and not full installer. 10.0.1 update can be installed only if drive X is in your system. Here you have Reader 9.4. You can update this Reader 9.4.2 and not 10.0.1

  If you want to install Reader X on Mac, go to http://get.adobe.com/reader

  This will download Reader X (10.0.1 full installer that includes the update) package on your system. Run the package to install the Player 10.0.1 on your system

• old mac can not find the new mac for migration

  I'm trying to set up my iMac brand new El Capitan and any transfer of my old iMac OS x 10.6.8. The new Mac is former easily, by using Migration Research Assistant on two computers, but the old guard. Then another told me that the former, whom he knows, the name is not available.   Every image has its .jpg extension? I think that Windows likes to see the extension, Mac don't care.

  You have to press on and hold the button for 5 seconds and make a stop 'tough '. Then restart.

  Download the 'offline' Setup here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and run it to update.

  Or if your tab bar is so full that there is no empty space, you can:

  • Click the "+" button on the tab bar
  • Press the Alt key to display the classic menu bar: View menu > toolbars

  Found the solution (my found friend):

  -created a bootable with Lili software Ubuntu

  -initialized and chosed try Ubuntu.

  -in the Terminal, I opened gpart (a partition Manager) and formatting drive HARD whole, created 2 partitions NTFS

  -with Novicorp WintoFlash, I created a bootable USB and Windows 7 installation was flawless.

  You can use a scheduled task to run the shutdown.exe command.  Discover the Scheduler of tasks and shutdown.exeand see if it looks like it fits your needs.  You can tell shutdown.exe to shut down the computer in a specified number of minutes, then maybe you don't even have a task scheduled to tell the system to stop at some point - rather, just run the shutdown command when you start working on the computer at night.
