Tier, node, server instance

Regarding the image below, can someone explain the difference between the node level and instance.

From what I understand so far a node is a group of services on a physical computer. The Group services and the machine may be called an instance/server. Layer is a layer of separation.

According to the request document instance is the Group of Application services on a virtual machine(first node). It is the same for the database.

good for me, it's possible,

"1. production environment .

The production environment is constructed using two nodes allocated, where the instance of the Application is hosted on the first node and the instance of the database on the second node, respectively. These nodes are configured on virtualized environments Windows hyper V.

The application tier of the VMS server and the virtual machines of DB level are configured to use the physical space of the SAN storage. "This will give you the best performance of DB and level Apps such as they find locked independently on their own VMS with dedicated memory and other resources in order to avoid encroachment on each-other resources."

Thank you.

A node is not necessarily a physical machine. It may be a virtual machine as explained in the document that you are talking about.

A component can be spread over several nodes hosting various types of application services.

An instance is similar to an environment of installation for each type of service.

You say 'Instance of Production', which includes an application layer and a layer of database. Each of these levels is hosted on one or more nodes.

Kind regards

Bashar

I assume that you missed this step:

1. after changing properties of connection CRMI - save

Now comes the key:

2. Select the bean Select viz ADFConnections - operations - parent. Here, select Invoke.

The action is logged and persistent changes to the MDS repository on successfully executing step 2, otherwise the changes will not be saved and will be reset to restart the server after original values.

Now restart the servers of the ADF managed, test and report the results.

• This error: failed to start the Server Instance because the integrated Weblogic domain has not been built successfully.

Hi Experts,

JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 version, Windows 7.

I installed jdeveloper 11g Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.4.0.

«I'm trying to start the integrated by weblogic server: start run instancei Server weblogic the next ERREURLa get, Server Instance may not start because the integrated Weblogic domain was built not log successfully.the as a result of info"D:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\common\bin\wlst.cmd ' C:\Users\aroy\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.4.0\o.j2ee.adrs\CreateDefaultDomain.py «»

I tried searching but could not solve this problem.

Reinstalled Jdeveloper, formatted my system did not work. Different version of JDeveloper also gives the same error in my system.

One thing when I go to the folder structure, I can see the default domain contains only the config folder. The rest are missing.

Also, I have all the rights of administrator on all folders/subfolders. I can create a separate domain and run the weblogic. But I can't start the new instance of JDeveloper. I get the same error.

Are you sure you properly patch?

You try to apply a patch WebCenter MLR oracle_common home:

Oracle home: \Oracle_CS\Middleware\oracle_common

I don't have the RLM 5 or 6 readily available readme, but I MLR4: it says:

2 pre-installation instructions

-------------------------------

a. set the ORACLE_HOME to ECM home environment variable.

The default location is: "[MW_HOME] / Oracle_ECM1".

You must read and follow the patch readme to make sure you are running the patch correctly and in the right place. Also, some patches have specific pre and/or post installation steps. You cannot go rogue on a patch process.

I hope this helps you

• Using a stand-alone WebLogic Server instance - ADF Insider issue

Hello

I just watched the [use a stand-alone WebLogic Server instance - ADF Insider | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGSR6dwd3nw] video and I gave a try installing the WLS in my dev machine.

Unfortunately I can't see how to do a run/debug jspx page right click in the WLS newly installed and configured.

Note that the wizard will create a server connection Application under the radio button in the built-in Server displays "a built-in server can be started and stopped by JDeveloper. That applications can be deployed automatically to the server with the command run or Debug ... "but running a jspx always begin it pre-configured"IntegretedWebLogicServer"and there is no option to choose where to run from nor I see any configuration in the project properties.

Could you please give me the missing indication?

Yiannis

Hello.

First of all, thanks for watching the video. To specify the server of an application will run on, simply open the application properties and go the the Run category. Then select the appropriate drop down list WLS forum link to the built-in application server .

Please someone help me.

Hello

Welcome to OTN.

You can try the following.
1. close JDev.
2 remove the DefaultDomain file under your [url http://tompeez.wordpress.com/tag/system-folder/] file system.
3. launch JDev
4. run your jspx page.

• Can deploy B2B & B2C in a Server Instance.

Hello

We must prepare the proposal of b2b & b2b both. If we can deploy B2B & B2C stores in a server instance. If possible, what are the challenges we can get. If not possible, why not possible?

Thanks in advance

~ Raji

You can not run both in the same instance.
It is not possible.

There will be only one path of config instance. If you load the module B2B it overrides B2C configs.
So, be it B2B or B2C.

• Multiple server Instances VI

Hi all, I have to create multiple instances of a VI using VI server method. I put the 'incoming' of the VI client properties. If I call the VI client under the name sub - VI I can create N instances without any problem. But if I use the VI server method when it executes the method 'run', it gives me the following error:

1000 error node invoke in Server.vi
Possible reasons:
LabVIEW: The VI isn't in a State compatible with this operation.
Name of the method: Run VI

I know that I can't open multiple instance of the front panel of this way, but I should be able to run it. Look at the example attached.

Thank you...

You must pass the '8' for your open VI reference option. It called the VI reentrantly, so that the error will not occur.

However, how to call this way screw stops execution of the subVIs if the server ends. If you have to keep the 'alive' server or you must use VI models (* .lives) instead of screws

Another note: If you have the Subvi the value modal dialog box, you will lock the other windows of your application LV is accessible!

hope this helps,

• scan_listener running on the node without instance active

I have a 5 cluster nodes, we are runinng case ONLY nodes on 1,2,3 other INSTANCES (4 node and node 5) 2 are shutdown. (For the future, use the APPROPRIATE CASE). My scan_listeners are as follows:
LISTENER_SCAN1 listener to SCAN is enabled
SCAN of the earpiece that listener_scan1 is running on the node btpu15
LISTENER_SCAN2 listener to SCAN is enabled
SCAN of the earpiece that listener_scan2 is running on the node btpu13
LISTENER_SCAN3 listener to SCAN is enabled
SCAN of the earpiece that listener_scan3 is running on the node btpu12

However, the instances work only on btpu11, btpu12 and btpu13.

Also, when connecting to the database using SCAN, I do NOT connect to instance 1 which is located in btpu11. Connection, disconnection, reconnection, etc will bounce me instance 2 and 3, but never get to instantiate 1.

Any help?

Hello
first of all it doesn't matter, where Auditors SCAN run in a CCR environment.
They only send connections for local listeners, where database instances are running. It is permitted to have a listener to SCAN on a host without a database.
Read this white paper for a clarification of the SCAN:
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/clustering/overview/scan-129069.PDF

Now that your first instance does not get connections, could have several questions:
(a.) the database on node 1 is not reachable.
=> Please check with SCAN listeners, that the service registered for the database really also points to node 1 (service of lsnrctl LISTENER_SCAN1 on the SCAN respecitive listener node runs).
=> Please check with the local listening on node 1, that the listener is rising and services service (the GI Home lsnrctl service)
(b) try to connect to the service directly on the local node (using the VIP (not SCAN)): sqlplus user/pwd @: 1521.
-Online so you can connect and that you are on the instance on node 1, then maybe loadbalancing a kicking, and the cluster think there are too many sessions/load on server 1 to lead more connections to it.
Try temporarily stopping the service on the node 2 and 3 and see if you get now a connections to server 1.
If it works, then you can be sure loadbalancing took the decision to not connect to node 1...
=> If you are unable to connect, you have a configuration problem.

On one of my groups I also had to make 20 to connect for a connection to a specific node, so do not count on it...

• Doubt on single server multiple vs single-server instances several databases

Hello

Here is my banner for oracle:

PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

AMT for 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

When you use the dbca command, it creates a new database. So is it possible to have multiple databases at the same time running on the same server?

I tried this option where I had created 2 databases A and B both running.

He kept to launch ' ORA-12520: TNS:listener could not find a Manager is available for the type of requested server "intermittently. I have not found any useful document to solve this because of which I ended up recreate all objects in database B to the database A. Data Base A therefore has its own schemas and schemas from database B.

Below are examples of files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora, sqlnet.ora trying this option:

sample tnsnames.ora file.

A =.

(DESCRIPTION =

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

(CONNECT_DATA =

(SERVER = DEDICATED)

(SERVICE_NAME = A)

)

)

B =

(DESCRIPTION =

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

(CONNECT_DATA =

(SERVER = DEDICATED)

(SERVICE_NAME = B)

)

)

Listener.ora, example:

LISTENER =

(DESCRIPTION_LIST =

(DESCRIPTION =

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))

)

)

ADR_BASE_LISTENER = C:\OracleDatabase

SQL Net.ora:

NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)

ADR_BASE = C:\OracleDatabase

Lsnrctl status showed services for each database.

All the world is facing this problem? Can we have multiple databases on a server with a listener running on the same computer? So my Tnsnames.ora file would have 2 strings of connections and file listener with an entry of the listener.

Can you please share your tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files?

Also, how to create a single database with multiple instances on the same server? Please tell me about the document that contains an example of this.

Yes, you can have several databases (running different ORACLE_SIDs) the ORACLE_HOME even on a single server.

I suspect that the ORA-12520 error was the result of certain constraints of resources (cpu, memory or i/o) resulting in the inability to create a new database session.

• If VMware a procedure that how to reinstall vSAN node server?

Hi all

When I test my vSAN and the view, I think a question that if a node appear to a problem or accident, if I could directly re - install on this server or need for a procedure to clear existing folder or setting before re - install ESXi again?

Thank you!!

I try live re - install ESXi that replace OS disk, and it seems he still find the old VSAN parameter and try installation during the initial priming (at this time, I still not put in this server's IP)

wyldkao

There is no need to delete existing records. If for any reason, the host is dead beyond answer I recommend that you run the installer, as if it were an upgrade process. When you then add the host in your cluster to vCenter again it comes back with the same identity and VSAN should re-sync.

If you prefer to do things differently, then you can always start your host with something like "gparted" first and just wipe all disks.

• VM Server 2 as an archiving solution (single Server Instances, long-term use 10 years and more)

Hello, I have a lot of customers who are located in the health sector, they have very dated material but we must keep the system state server and existing programs up to 20 years.

I've virtualized successfully some of their servers using the converter and operate them on VM Server 2.0; things are impeccable and they know even higher performance and then on their old material.

My question is this; VMWare Server is a sound archiving for instances of single server solution if a customer has only 1 server that must be kept for years, is interesting to use ESXi or ESX server purchase? Do you think that any restrictions on the use of VMServer to host this virtual machine (for the next few years) so the client will use to read only purposes? Is there another product VMware which will allow for read-only access on a network (Vm Player?)

What are others in the health sector to help clinics with a single server?

Thank you for all your comments on this, I'm using ESX server but with time in these situations, there is no way these customers will be hardware and software investments for 1 VM.

Thank you

Haymaker

Hello

For archiving purposes, VMware Server is a perfectly good option. Reader could also be used if you want to... You and the 'hosting' on which you store all this. It must be able to run the required number of virtual machines simultaneously.

• CFIDE pointing to an incorrect server instance

I use the CF 9 Enterprise and have multiple instances (instance and server in CF 9 is sometimes used here - I find the server term to be ambiguous in this case) on the same machine. They share a directory (mounted as a virtual directory under the Web site) common CFIDE and CFIDE directories under \cfusion.ear\cfusion.war c:\jrun4\servers\ < servername > have been renamed.

Problem is the CFIDE two instances (the last two that were created) are pointing to the same instance (one last created). I've looked everywhere for a config that controls this but couldn't find anything.

So, when I go to:

https://cfadmin1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm and https://cfadmin2/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm both sites have server: cfserver1

I need to know how to change the console cfadmin2 to point to the server: cfserver2

There are a few possible causes:

When the last instance has been added, the c:\jrun4\servers\cfserver2\cfusion.ear\cfusion.wa\CFIDE not renamed directory.

This seems to have caused cfserver2 to use the CFIDE directory instead of the commune. Rename the directory corrects this problem.

I noticed a few problems with the wsconfig.properties file, where cfadmin2 has been registered successfully, but i:

(1) removed from the instance of cfserver2

(2) the CF and IIS services are started and

(3) the cfadmin2 readded

to resolve this problem.

Also looked at the neo - security.xml and neo - runtime.xml from both forums files and have not found anything out of the ordinary

Now, I'm ideas...

The answer now (from another source)-the IIS Handler Mapping cfadmin2 site for JWildCardHandler pointing to the wrong dll.

Cfadmin2 is an IIS #8 site

In C:\JRun4\lib\wsconfig\wsconfig.properties, site 8 has an id of 6 CF.

"" IIS = 6, 8, false,

6.SRV = localhost, "cfserver2."

6.CFMX = true,

However, the news of JWildCardHandler has been pointing to the wsconfig for CF 9 id directory - which is a site in the cfserver1 instance.

(Internet Information services manager, click site, group by area, under IIS-> mappings, JWildCardHandler Edit)

C:\JRun4\lib\wsconfig\9\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll

Change this to corespond with the problem solved wsconfig.properties info.

C:\JRun4\lib\wsconfig\6\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll

All works now.

• How to get the name of the server instance

Hi all!!

First of all, sorry if this is not the place to leave this question, but I didn't know where to post.

I have a weblogic 9.2 MP3 installed in a x 64 Redhat Linux. It is clustered in 2 cases.
An application is deployed in both cases, each request between two instances of balancing.

Of course, a request is responsed by only one instance, and I would like to know how to get the name of the instance that processes a request of some.

I read that I can send using recorded weblogic mbeans in this way:
InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
MBeanServer mbean = (MBeanServer)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jmx/runtime");
Then
ObjectName rs = new ObjectName("com.bea:Name=RuntimeService,Type=weblogic.management.mbeanservers.runtime.RuntimeServiceMBean");
Set beans = mbean.queryNames(rs, null);
And finally I iterate over the beans, but I'm not able to retrieve the name of the instance. I suppose that the object name is not appropriate.

However, I am able to get the name of the server and the two names of instances per a JMX connection to service:jmx:t3://localhost:7001/jndi/weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime, but this isn't what I want because I need to know what is the instance that is a certain demand.

Anyone know how I can do?

Thank you very much and sorry for the English xD

That should do it...

MBeanServer mbeanServer = (MBeanServer)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jmx/runtime");

Create ObjectName for the runtime
RuntimeService ObjectName = new ObjectName (runtimeServiceName);

Get the object for the ObjectName ServerRuntimeMBean name
ObjectName serverRuntime = mbeanServer.getAttribute (runtimeService, "ServerRuntime") (ObjectName);

Get the name of the server
String serverName = (String) mbeanServer.getAttribute (serverRuntime, "Name");
If (serverName == null) return "";
otherwise return serverName;

I was hoping someone can help me diagnose my problem and may recommend how to solve. Thanks for any answer!

Need us more information to be able to reply to all.

(1) what is the OS WS 8 is installed on the - what (seems likely in your case) Windows or Linux.

(2) physical NIC yo card use to connect to the Internet on the hostt machine.

(3) how you created the window 2008 Server. Easy install Cutom install, install the BONE later and which is default NAT or bridged network. Maybe the rest of the sheet creation of virtual machine. Default networking is NAT - migh want to change this to open and see if you're lucky - it would work by itself. If this is not the case, the details of phases 1 and 2. Ulplaod the vmware.log can. Other people wil lhave more suggerstions the more information you provide. Suffice it to say that something does not work is not enough.
