TIFF files do not showing in Windows Exployer - Windows 7

Just shoot me!  Have you been to this point.  I have tiff files and downloaded tiff files that are not displayed in the windows exployer.  If I try to save the tiff file again, save it as a... shows the files are there, but they are not in the window of exployer.  T

If I try to save the file again

So, how can you open the file that you saved again is it does not appear in the first place?
Is it possible that you're displaying the wrong file, for example 'Photos' when the file is actually in ' download?
As the file you open is in "Downloads", but the location for your default save TIFF Editor is the folder "pictures".

BTW the link you provided has expired or requires a registered account and I could not access your TIFF file, so perhaps you could write detailed reproduction steps, starting with the browser you are using, exactly how do you download the file the first time, how do you open and save the second time, what is the name of the file.

You can also try to search all the .tif or .tiff files present on your computer, to see if that invisible is there somewhere:

  • Go to start | All programs | Accessories | Command prompt
  • Type "cd-" (without the quotes) to get to the root of your hard drive
  • Type "dir/b/s *.» TIF"to the list that all TIFF files present on your drive, there should be at least a WelcomeFax.tif file
  • If your TIFF file is hidden or marked as a system file, try typing "dir/ahs/b/s *.» TIF.
If you know the name of the downloaded file, TIFF, replace "*." TIF"with"name . ' * ' or full name
  • If the file appears in the results, then look at this file in Windows Explorer

I guarantee you that it must be just a simple thing, there is no reason that I can see that this file type would be invisible.
Also, try to create a doodle in paint and by manually saving to TIFF, then go into Windows Explorer to see if you can find it.

How can you do recent items don't forget these past .avi and .wmv files

    Hello

You can change some values in the registry. To do this, copy / paste the following text in Notepad, save it as a MP3WAVRecent.reg file and double-click this file to add it to the registry database:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.MP3]
    "EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.WAV]
    "EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00

Note that plus save recently used for the Jumplist instead of frequently used must be checked in the Options of WMP - player, as well as the music at the bottom of life private tab.
Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Error message - browseui.dll file is not a valid Windows image in the Windows XP computer.

Original title: how to fix browseui.dll without original windows disc?

    Hello

    Well, kids, here's the deal.

I myself locked out of my computer and installed PC login now erase my passwords. It has worked flawlessly, and I now have my computer back after months and months.

There was only a single small strangeness: whenever I connected my computer, he asked me to check my drive. Looking forward to get my computer and running and customized how I like it, I bypassed it the first few times. Then, when I had a few minutes, I thought I had better let the disk check, so I left it.

NOW, when I turn on my computer, I get an error message that my browseui.dll file is not a valid windows image and my windows Explorer does not work. So I've been doing on the web looking for a solution via the Task Manager, which is a pain. Someone suggested to use the scannow in the command prompt command line, so I tried, but it requires my disk of windows XP which I think can be in a different State with my mother.  So I simply bypassed it whenever he had the drive and VOILA! all peachy.

Until, that is, I turn on my computer again. We're back in the same place.  Well, this analysis running and without going through the disc each time took me about an hour, and I can't do that whenever I need to use my computer.

I tried the system restore, no change. I tried from the command prompt and choose a date AND choose "last good configuration" in the menu f12 or f8.  Without peanut.

    We are this:

    1. is there a way to correct this file without the disc?

    2. can I get another copy of the disk without having to buy it?

    3. Although I'm not PARTICULALRY, would be the Windows 7 upgrade solves the problem? (But I really like my XP...)

If the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file is damaged or missing, Explorer.exe does not start and you may see a message like this:

If the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file is corrupted, Explorer.exe does not start and you will see a message like this:

    Explorer.exe - bad Image
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\BROWSEUI.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.

You can click OK and get to an empty office with only your display background image but still be able to maneuver with the Task Manager.

If missing the c:\windows\system32\browseui.dll file, Explorer.exe does not start and you will see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because BROWSEUI.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

You can click OK and get to an empty office with only your display background image but still be able to maneuver with the Task Manager.

Since we know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the dllcache folder, you can use the Task Manager to replace the file missing or distressed.

From the Task Manager, click file, new task (run...) and then click Browse and navigate to the c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder.  Make sure the "Files of type" box is set to show all files (or you will not see any), and then click OK to display all files.

Locate the copy of the browseui.dll file backup in the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache, made right click and copy and go back up a folder c:\windows\system32, right-click in an empty area and paste the file there.  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

You can then start the Explorer in Task Manager by clicking file, new task (run...) and in the "Open:", enter:

    Explorer.exe

Click OK to launch the Explorer and your office must return.

Or after replacing the file missing or suspicious, just restart the system task manager by clicking on stop and choosing restart and then Explorer will start to him only when the system is restarted.

If your computer to check your drive at every reboot, which means the "dirty bit" on the volume was probably settled and the only way to clear the dirty bit must run a chkdsk/r (which XP trying to do).   The dirty bit can be defined on a volume if there is a power interruption e.g. (plug pulling, using the power button / stop, etc.).

Sometimes, XP can't erase the bit of impurity in this way and it is preferable to run chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console so you can actually see what he does and run it again if necessary.

If you do not have any bootable media XP start in the XP Recovery Console, you can create a bootable XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console CD and do all your work from there.

You can even replace the file browseui.dll from SP Recovery Console if it is your desire.

Need instructions to create a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console?  No Microsoft Support Engineer seems to know how to do this, but I do and will instruct you in the next reply.

Anyone know why I can't see and use?

It is not difficult to make the xml files.

Just use this template below and substitute the names DekeLogos and Deke Logos with the name of the asl file

    http://ns.Adobe.com/PSEContent/2.0/">

    1. open Wordpad and paste it above.

    2. replace the DekeLogos and the Logos of Deke , the .asl file named

3 save the file under the name of the asl.metadata.xml

For example, the Deke Logos would be registered as Deke Logos.metadata.xml

    4. Once your done with that for each .asl file, put both the FSA and the xml files in

I upgraded from Windows 8 Community Preview of Windows 8 Pro, according to the guidelines.

Now I have compatibility problems with some of my video editing applications.

In addition I just downloaded two new products, including CyberLink_PowerDirector11_Ultra, which is supposed to be 100% Windows compatible 8. The downloaded .exe installation file does not run. Neither the downloaded .exe installed file for VideoPad.

    Can anyone help please?

I suggest do you a refresh, then reinstall your applications, because it's one of the side effects of the upgrade of the preview of the final version.

However you do it, its not supported.

I'm trying to run an old program, manage his money, on Vista Home Premium 64 - bit. It ran OK on Win XP. When I try to run the setup.exe, I get error - "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows hou are running." I tried to use the program compatibility Wizard. No help. Same mistake. Anything else I can try?

If you get this error and the Compatibility Mode doesn't help, then the program simply is not compatible with this version of Vista, and if you want the program, you will need to check with the manufacturer to see if they make a full install version which is compatible with Vista and buy the program more recent.  If they do not have such a version, then I'm afraid you're just out of luck with this program.  The only other option MIGHT be Virtual PC, but even that is not a guarantee and is a little extreme just to get an old program running.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.

  • EA4500 Windows 7 can not index the files so not seen by Windows Media Player

I install a drive on the USB port of the EA4500 and 4 files.  A music course.  I want to access this folder through my laptop wireless with Windows Media Player, but I don't get a handle on disk + 3000 songs.  A PC cable can access files, but not a wireless laptop.  I don't know where is the problem.  If I use the reader via //host/Music the star ratings are not available, but I get all the music, if I map a drive can I get star rating but only a handful of songs.  I tried to change the permission, but I can't change the permissions of the file on the Linksys.

You should be able to change the permissions on the page of the router. Using the classic Firmware or the Linksys Smart Wifi? If you use the firmware Linksys Wifi Smart, it is under the USB storage device > access to records. If you use the classic Firmware, it's under storage > Administration. The laptop should be able to see all the files just like the office.
