  Hi all
  
  1. I'm new to OWB and I was wondering is it possible to force the default time dimension (done using Wizard) to have some 'small' level then a day (say, 1 h)?
  If this is not the case, have you tried to manually update the dimension and mapping?
  Or it is better to leave default dimension and start with my own time dim?
  
  2. What is the difference between the dimension created as the dimension "time" and with a similar but defined content as typicall dim? (issues / analysis performance)?

  Hello

  OWB can create dimensions date to the level of the day.
  You can use this dimension as a source of a map of your own to create a time dimension to the level of the time (enclose it with values of 1-24).

  Have you considered using a date on the day level dimension and a second dimesion of time containing only 1-24 hours?

  With the help of the wizard makes living easier, but there is no advantage in terms of performance in relation to a normal size. Be sure to add all the clues you need.

  Reinstalling but this time download the file on your computer. When the download is complete, install it as an administrator by right clicking the configuration file and select "Run as Administrator".

• Xmarks is functional? It didn't work for a week and the installation wizard does not work.

  The last time worked Xmarks was on 25 October. I am connected correctly and it tries to synchronize, but never finished. Even the Xmarks Setup Wizard does not work. It is a very useful addon in the past one I hope he'll return to work.

  I had this problem too. I'm running Firefox 25.0 and used Xmarks 4.2.1. Sync would not end. I downloaded Xmarks 4.2.3 from Xmarks web site (not the site of Mozilla Add-ons that apparently has 4.2.1) and now everything looks OK.

  I need help to find my HP Photosmart e - all in a Wizard of the printer.  I want her to be as an icon on my desktop.  (Like Solution HP) used to do.

  I want to scan multiple images at once/harvest/and save each to a different file.

  Please keep with steps you have already done...

  First you must have installed full feature software.

  General instructions to install the printer software

  • Open drivers HP & downloads
  • Enter your printer model information
  • Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

  OR

  ·         Open e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 7525 drivers

  ·         Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down

  ·         Click NEXT and scroll down

  ·         Find the category driver - software product installation

  ·         Select the base driver, e-print, or a full features software

  ·         Save the *.exe installation package (s) on your computer

  The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

  Next:

  • If it is available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of the category-utilities

  TIP:

  Install the utilities / tools first. bit installation packages are smaller in size

  • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click" to install it, otherwise just right-click, select run as administrator and install.

  NOTES:

  ·          On the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer, you can find some helpful videos to help with the installation of the printer software.

  ·          Scroll down the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.

  • If you use a USB connection: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.

  Setup software printer should provide an icon Printer Wizard on your desktop that you can use to "scan a Photo Document or".

  Shortcut:

  If the printer icon Wizard is not placed on the desktop during installation, then you can search for the program Assistant printer on your computer.

  Assuming that the printing software full feature software properly installed, you just find the program you can make your own shortcut to the printer for your Office Assistant.

  • Open a Windows Explorer window
  • Go to C:\Program Files *
  • You might find a folder named for your printing software (photosmart 7525)
  • Navigate to the Bin subfolder
  • Search for a program called OR similar
  • NOTE: The program will NOT be appointed Assistant printer
  • Right click on this program > select send to desktop to make a shortcut

  There are two ways to end up with what you want, even if I have not found a way to get the 7520 (very similar to your model) to do what I think you are looking for.

  I agree that it is useful to have.   If we have zillions of old photos to scan, need to scan a photo at a time - or their cropping manually - can make your brain freeze.

  If the feature is available on your model, the magic is in the analysis in the Assistant printer model - and relaxation is perhaps not too much harder that separate the pictures far enough part to trigger the sensor reads what is on the glass.  It's been a while since I've done this - but I'm sure it was pretty straightforward (from the point of view of the user).

  I am writing here because a strange problem with my Deskjet 2050 just drives me crazy...

  Shortly, my hp printer assistant disappeared from my PC and there is nothing I can do to take back, it seems. I uninstalled, reinstalled the software and drivers of the printer, also restored my PC to months and months ago but nothing. Printer Wizard will appear not just and it is bad, because it has many valuable uses (such as ink level monitor) I just can't live without.

  Since the announcement, I had the opportunity to reinstall the OS this time, I took a few extra steps.

  3 find a tweak registry tiny but achievable by a man whose computer was scrambled by an automatic update to sp1 that went wrong. I manually update and always have, so auto update is irrelevant but also dangerous.

  4. I installed SP1 as the stand-alone, rather than the version "update."

  5. [Pardoxically] installed the same software Norton antimalware on trial basis. I always had a bad vibe on Norton/Symantec, but a cousin with Win7 and Norton on two laptops does very well.

  6. I use NOT of WMP 12. Virtually all of my a / v files are .flv and I use KMPlayer instead.

  7. during the initial phase of mega-list of the new facility, I never treated more than 20 updates at a time.

  The reference to the theTechCenter Forum has been a great call on your part I follow on references to .NET reinstall.

  A last thimg: it's the best Windows 7 has ever treated me. My "precautions" seem to have stopped some problems by eliminating the causes. [fingers crossed]

  I'll leave the box to answer checked for a few more days, but I think that the original message was answered by your response re reference .NET.

  This is the block of automatic update in "blocked.

  00000000 DWORD value allows the automatic download.

  Cut-and - paste If you try this tweak. I had to modify the registry manually in order to recreate the tweak. BE SURE to export the original version, just in case. I have an original file with .reg files, enabled and disabled access. The tweak stops of me shot normally manually updated or install programs. [fingers crossed].

  I have a requirement where I need to calculate the value of average purchase order based on the month. The problem I have here is that the custom time Dimension table that I have in my RPD has dates only until 2011 and not beyond. I downloaded this table via BI tutorials oracle schema EXAMPLE.

  I've looked everywhere on the internet for a time dimension table, but I'm unable to find it. Can someone please help me find a way to insert the time dimension table?

  You can change the SQL code to insert new rows into your table.

  Example:

  INSERT INTO your_table (your_field)

  SELECT TO_DATE('31/12/2010','DD/MM/YYYY') + NUMTODSINTERVAL (n, 'day') AS Full_Date

  FROM (SELECT level n FROM dual connect by level)<>

  The foregoing will insert lines starting at 01/01/2011 and until the 01/01/2011 + 4000 days (over 10 years).

  Of course, you must extend the code to calculate all the fields in your time dimension.

  I have the CSV file as a data source. I've created tables to CSV files and then them modeled in SPR and then created time on that dimension. But the time dimension does not work. Is it because the data source is a CSV file?

  This one is from SampleApp, as you can see there is a "time Total" and it is reported as "grand total" (a box set).

  So maybe just remove your and build it yet keeping the grand total and rename the level of detail of the "year".

  Add your unique column it and set it as the key level (and also key chronological).

  If you want the calculation for the period of days, then I think you need to spend TIME on the DATE dimension level. You can leave some MINUTES in the second dimension, which can be a dimension of standard user. You must then two levels of the DAY (with different members) in the date dimension - each with a different set of the child. You can assign the TIME_SPAN to the TIME level 1.

  Long story short, out of the box you can re-use existing columns in data bases or other fields perhaps; However, if you have already looked there and nothing works, how you want, your options will require customization...

  This would be pretty simple, even though you might minor wrath of Oracle support depending on how you implement it. Basically, you will need to do a few things that come to mind...

  #1-create a data storage area
  #2-recognize the import data
  #3-store the data in the storage area
  #4-faire a mechanism of recovery for this info (why you stock it if you cannot view never he?)

  # 1 assuming you can't do one or other of the existing database columns (I think you could...) I would just add another table in the FDM database that will contain the desired information. Considering that we don't mean data loading, you probably wish to add a foreign key and creating a relationship with the relevant existing tables/columns such as tDataSegxx (columns DataKey or PartitionKey/CatKey/PeriodKey). I would also do what I enable referential integrity and have the actions be delete/update data so that you don't orphans given in this table again at a later date.

  # 2 update your format import to have another column that will be your text and then I guess you have some choices. For the column, you can ask it run a script and just do the work to put the data in a database column; However... I would probably handle this in the AftValidate at that time here, you should have all the info you need to get the data of relationship you would like. Bottom line, is that there are options for this.

  # similar to point 3 #2, there are many options for how to keep it. Assuming that you're storing in a separate table and not to retarget an existing database column in FDM, I would just use ADO via script to do the changes/insertions/deletions.

  # 4 do not know what you want to do with this information, but you should be able to access with a FDM report, or you might get it on the stage of export via the script, etc. etc.

  In the project current works unlike the day regular 00:00 to 24:00 that the day of the transaction is divided into two shifts; Maj r: 06:00 to 21:00 SHIFT B: 21:00-06:00 the next morning.
  
  The customer wants to run reports on transactions happening in one day that spread over two shifts and would then like to generate MIN, MAX, AVG time. My time dimension currently has the following columns:
  
  Timestamp
  Year
  Month
  Week
  Day
  
  
  You don't know how to accommodate the transaction date that is a "single day" that falls within "two days".

  Hi B,

  I hope that you do not use W_DAY_D / W_MCAL_DAY_D the granularity that is Date and time. You said that you have Timestamp in your time Dimension, so I'll give you the solution accordingly.

  Add two columns in your time Dimension. A Transaction shift and others for the day of the Transaction. Your ETL must fill these columns, accordingly as you mentioned logic. If you have a similar logic for Transaction week / month / year, you add the columns accordingly.

  Now, once you expose these columns in the presentation layer and the users query your metrics made against trading day, you will get your desired results. Please note that your should be attached to the dimension of time at the level of the timestamp and not date.

  I think I have a simple requirement but I don't how it works:
  
  I have some dimensions and a fact table. In my table of facts, I have 2 foreign key on my dimension of time.
  When I import my tables and check the consistency, I get errors: "in double foreign key. Delete"(don't remember complete sentence)
  This is the first point that I do not understand. Why can I have not more than 1 foreign key?
  
  The second point is to know how to have 2 time dimensions. In the MDB, I duplicate my time dimension. But which to choose? I tested with a foreign key and complex join (and foreign keys 2 or 1 in Physics) and I still have the same result (bad).
  
  So can someone explain to me how configure both physical than MDB joins use a dimension greater than 1 hour (without creating a new physical dimension of course)

  Create table aliases (as they play different roles) for the dimension of time in the physical layer and combining your done using physical joints.

  After importing to the physical layer, if duplicate keys exist, delete the duplicate keys.

  In this scenario, two keys will be exist on the fact for the time dimension, remove those and create the joins between aliases.

  We have created a time dimension using the owb wizzard, but did not include the quarter level. Is it possible to add it to the dimension later without deleting a re-creation of the entire dimension?
  A new time dimension would probably be corrupt all the cubes (data and metadata), so I would avoid that.

  Hi Knut

  Yep, should be possible.

  Change the dimension and select the quarter level in the levels Panel, and then click quarter in hierarchies pane to add it to the hierarchy. You can then delete the link and autobind on details for the physical links to the underlying table. On the hierarchies pane, there is a button "Create map" that will regenerate the mapping to load the time dimension.
