Time server

Hello

We have a Windows SBS 2011 and several computers on the domain.  We have also several IP cameras which I would like to synchronize the time with our server.  Anyone know what time NTP sever would use our server?  Or is it possible I can get it directly from the server?

Much thanks

Paul

  • Question of time server Internet

Is it possible to change the time server for the clock in time.nist.gov XP (does not work) to nist.time.gov (does not work)?

Tried, he doesn't like it (no data? something like that on the third order), so I googled w32tm and further investigation on nist.time.com, I'd get it all first.

Time.nist.gov, which never works for me, exists; It is just terribly busy. This is consistent with the nist.time.gov which * links * to the sites, you can use for synchronization, but is not itself a sync site. Oops. (East time.nist.gov incorporated in XP? (Because if it is rarely accessible that looks like something that might be updated suite.)

First of all, being reminded the possibility one of the google links, I changed the address by doing a find in regedit. It worked, but as I said above, this isn't a useful address.

Once I found out it was the wrong address and found a good one, I discovered by chance I could change the address by selecting the text in the drop-down list that you get when you double click on the clock and select the time tab Internet. I thought it wouldn't work, but it did.

Anyway, thanks a lot for pointing me in a useful direction. I'm guessing that because the address that I gave is not supposed to have given there is no data. But I learned a lot about the departure function that I didn't. Enjoy it!

  • Windows Vista will not synchronize with internet time server

I am running Windows Vista Business SP2 and Norton Internet Security on a Lenovo T61.  All updates for Windows, Norton and Lenovo have been applied.  When I try to synchronize with a time server Internet, I get the error message ' year error occurred while synchronizing with time.windows.com "I tried each of the other servers listed time and still get the same error message.  I spent reviewing the configuration of the firewall in time of Norton Internet Security and S32 and port 123 are enabled.  I tried to synchronize with the two Norton Internet Security Firewall on and outside, with the same results. I have internet google and looked for a solution of Microsoft.  After reading all the posts relating, I tried the following:

    running administrative invite

    net stop w32time

    w32tm /unregister

    w32rm /register

    net start w32time

    Each performed positively.

This has not solved the problem.  I then ran:

    w32tm/config /update

This is performed in a positive way.

This has not solved the problem. I then ran:

    w32tm/Resync /rediscover

He responded with "the computer did not resync because no time data was available"

    I then ran:

    w32tm/query/status

He responded with "last successful synchronization time: not specified.

The local Group Policy Editor reads for providers of Service/Computer Configuration/Windows Administrative Templates/time/system time

Configure Windows NTP Client not configured

Enable Windows NTP Client not configured

Enable Windows NTP server not configured

In summary, it seems that my computer has never synchronized with an Internet server time.

If you need additional information, please provide specific instructions on how to get it and I will provide.

From time to time, I checked to see if I resync of internet time.

Out of the Blues started windows resynchronize.

The only change I can think is that AT & T reset head of communications AT & T defaults shortly before he started work.  This tends to confirm my opinion that it was a problem of communication.

    Hello

You are connected to the field?

Note: If your computer is on a domain, you cannot synchronize your clock with a time server Internet.

I suggest you to perform an in place upgrade of the operating system using the disk of the Windows 7 operating system.

You can read the following article.

How to perform an upgrade on the spot on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 & Windows Server 2008 R2

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2255099

Note: make sure that you back up all your data before you begin the installation. Check out the link.

If this does not help, I suggest you contact your computer manufacturer for assistance.

  • Microsoft Windows 7 is not syncronozing with the time server, what can I do about it?

Windows does not synchronize with the time server. For me, it says that there is no previous time being synchronized on the record, but I don't see why it should not be synchronized at all!

Have you tried one of the alternative servers?

  • How to use a time server to build a clock in flash?

    Hello.

I see a lot of cool clocks done in flash, but they charge the time based on the date and time of your machine. I want to build a clock that takes the time to an official time server so that it will always be up-to-date.

The problem is I don't know how to do this and I can't find anything about it.

    Someone at - it indexes?

    Thank you very much.

you will need to find an official clock that has an RSS feed, create a script server to load this power and send to your swf file after your swf calls the script.  You can then analyze the flow in your swf file and use it to display the clock that you created.

  • Automatically synchronize with a time server Internet

    I have Windows XP, SP3.

2 x - click on the time display I get the Date and time properties dialog box.

On the time tab Internet, when I click 'Update Now' I keep getting...

"Year error occurred getting the status of the last synchronization." The RPC server is unavailable. »

(And my computer IS connected to the Internet).

I tried for a while to find out how to debug without success.

    Things like...

    MicrosoftFixit50394.msi and

    nistime - 32-bit .exe

.. .that look like they say, they will work, do not.

    No idea how to debug?

How far is the time when you try to synchronize?

After 1 hour crashed.how of database we can recover the database.

Here the server has n 05:00 06:00 twice

    Kind regards

As to this subject? You calculate the RCS based on any time you want. If you change the time, you must be unambiguous. See http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0:P11_QUESTION_ID:3297071155886

You can use scn_to_timestamp and it is converse to switch back, at least the previous 5 days (in current versions). Granularity of SNA varies according to the version of 5 minutes and 3 seconds.

  • Measurement on the side time server? Best practices for the turn-based game

    Hello

What would be the best practice for measuring time in a turn based game?

I was looking at the timeout of the room, but to use that it would mean that, for each round, I put users in a new room?

Is there a way where I can measure time serverside and keep users in the same room?

If so, I could use php, otherwise, we would need java that allows to measure a time race.

    See you soon,.

    G

    Hello

You can definitely use PHP or Java - we provide integration of server

libraries for either. I don't know exactly what is the use case, so I can't

comment on what makes the most sense, but if it is not information which must be

totally secure, grading on the client can be a viable approach also.
