Title, line breaks has problems "space after"...

I have a paragraph style that is designed to sit directly under the previous topic: it is easy to achieve by specifying 0 "Space-Before". The title is "Space Below' also set to 0. Both models line up on the starting grid.

It works fine EXCEPT: the title does not fit on a single line, but pauses for a second line. In this case, the following paragraph is NOT carefully under the second line of the topic (desired behavior) but "missing a line" of the grid.

How can I fix?

The only way a multiline heading and the body of the text can align to the network without spacing problem is if the main topic is a multiple of the line spacing for body copy.

  • Create a space after a paragraph Style

    Good, all this may seem odd. All I want to do in CS4 is have a pt 4 extra space after a particular paragraph style. Specifically, my paragraph style, body text, has already "space after" specified in 3 pt. fine. But, for example, when I have three paragraphs of just this style, I want the three paragraphs separated by a pt 4 additional space. (There no consistency in documents when this happens.)

    At first, I thought that it might be possible to do this via a nested character style. Nope. Return to FrameMaker, I used to do this operation manually, whenever I wanted extra space. My coaches adds paragraph tags (ugh).

    Still a newbie...

    Thank you!

    Maybe I'm really missing your meaning here. When I replace a style setting to get more space below, I add the space below the * paragraph *. I don't set anything on the last line. It is no different in Framemaker. In Framemaker, you can add space above or below a paragraph, either as part of a style (FM called a 'format'), or as a replacement style. You "adjust the last line of a paragraph" in each program.

    There is a significant difference between the FrameMaker paragraph

  • V9 Acrobat JavaScript Alert Box - possible to add space or line break after each element of the array?

    I have a Document level Javascript used to identify empty mandatory fields and fires on shares of paper, print and save. The script identifies the required fields empty, counties and outputs of an alert box indicating the number of required fields empty and lists the name of the ToolTip fields. The script identifies the required fields with an asterisk at the end of each balloon.

    Is my question possible to add a space or a line break after the decimal point for each item?

    Here is a picture of the exit where the items listed are all grouped together.

    Alert box array items need space or line break.jpg

    Here is the code:

    function validateFields()

    {

    a counter for the number of empty fields

    var = 0 flg

    count all the fields of the form

    var n = this.numFields

    create a table to contain the names of the required fields

    If they are determined to be empty

    fArr var = new Array();

    Browse all fields and look for ones that are required

    all fields that have a ' *' in their ToolTip are required

    for (var i = 0; i < n; i ++) {}

    var fn = this.getNthFieldName (i);

    var f = this.getField (fn);

    ToolTip is the property of 'userName' of the fields\;

    TT = f.userName var

    test the ' *';

    If (TT. IndexOf('*')

    ! =-1 & & f.value == f.defaultValue) {}

    increment the counter of empty fields;

    FLG ++;

    Add the fields username (ToolTip) to the list of the names of fields empty.

    fArr [fArr.length] = tt;

    }

    }

    now display a message if there are blank fields

    if(FLG>0) {}

    App.Alert ("there are '+ flg + areas that require a value\n\n' + fArr, 3")

    }

    else {}

    This.Print ();

    }

    }

    The required property is very easy to use. It's just a Boolean (true/false) value, then you can use it like this in your code. Instead of this line:

    If (tt.indexOf('*')! =-1 & f.value == f.defaultValue) {}

    Use this:

    If (f.required == true & f.value == f.defaultValue) {}

    Hi all

    I am facing a weird problem in the SQL query. Taken, I wrote the request with the spaces, tabs and line breaks after execution it slows down the database and finally, I have to restart the database again. But after removing the spaces the application went very well. I don't know what the problem causing this slow run, but after the removal of whitespace to query everything works fine. I've also confirmed plans to explain the two after the removal of whitespace and previously had the same results.

    I found the problem.

    The new version of FileZilla (v 3.14.0) is also not consistent.

    In their update, Fetch mentioned that the problem is not with all servers.

    If you run Yosemite and ftp of Dreamweaver is ruin your line breaks, then use Fetch until Adobe can fix their problem.

  • Space after paragraph: how picas equal to an empty line in Garamond 7.5 regular?

    I use Indesign CC and want to add a blank line after each paragraph in my document. I discovered how to do this, but the only unit I am offered is picas. I could probably go to inches, but who does not really help me. My main text is written in font Garamond regular 7.5 size and I would like to have the empty space after each paragraph that is equal to an empty line written in this font with this size. How to do if find a blank line with the font settings much is? I guessed and it seems to be equal to 0p 7, but it would be great if I could make without guessing blindly. I'm happy for any help.

    By default, InDesign assigns leading at 120% of the font size. If you have not changed which, you'll notice in the control bar that your policy is 7.5 and spacing is (9). (When shown in parenthesis it denotes that a default value is used.) You could have a paragraph style that make 7.5, 10.5 lead and it would display the 10.5 without parentheses).

    For the space after you want, in the paragraph Style game your space according to 9pt.

  • Footer running of the title of chapter with line break

    I currently have a footer running based on a text variable that is based on a paragraph style. But the position itself is quite large-fonted and will have line breaks. Thus, only the first word ends in the running footer.

    Is there a way around this? I thought I had a block of text for this variable on a hidden layer. But maybe there's an easier way?

    No matter if the text that is pulled by breaks of variable in all lines, as long as there is no real case sensitive characters included. In other words, your title may be 60 pt text box which is only two inches wide, so four or five words would go to several lines, but if the variable is formatted for text 9 pt, those words would fit easily in a width of 2 inches.

    That said, I know that you used breaks forced in some of the topics in your book that you want to include in your footer, to repeat the text in a nonprinting framework without breaks may turn out to be the only solution viable choice. I use this method from time to time, and when I do I have the really obvious non-printable text, so I do not forget that it is there. I do usually red.

  • Problem with XML and different line break styles

    I'm working on a project that is being developed by some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running in Windows and some developers Flash Builder 4.6 running under OSX. We have difficulties due to the difference of newlines between the two environments. In an .as file with line breaks in style UNIX is similar to the following code:

    var XML = < document >

    < item >

    < / item >

    < / document >;

    xml.appendChild (SomeClass.getXML ());

    SomeClass.getXML () is located in a file .as using type line breaks Windows and is similar to the following:

    public function getXML (): XML

    {

    var moreXML:XML = < anotherElement >

    < childElement >

    < / childElement >

    < / anotherElement >;

    Return moreXML;

    }

    When the XML object is serialized and written to a file on a Windows computer, it looks like this:

    < document >

    < item >

    < / item >

    < anotherElement >

    < childElement >

    < / childElement >

    < / anotherElement > < / document >

    Line for all outside anotherElement breaks are of the form \r\n. Line breaks it contains are of the form \r\r\n, causing thus the empty lines. I'm guessing that the odd line breaks are the cause of the strange setting indented, as well. None of these problems occur when XML is added to the xml file .as that employees style UNIX line breaks.

    Is it possible to force the Flash Builder to use UNIX on Windows style line breaks? Otherwise, there are relatively specific to this problem solutions? Thank you!

    Section clarified

    I found a setting to force a certain style of line breaks: window-> Preferences-> General-> Workspace (delimiter line of file new text). The XML serializes as planned today.

  • Help with string.split() for line breaks and spaces

    What I'm trying to do is to take a series of numbers and convert it to a table, while cutting the numbers, aren't. Here's the format:

    1.0000000E + 000 + 000 1.3668423e

    1.0000000E + 000 + 000 1.3668423e

    1.0000000E + 000 + 000 1.3668423e

    ...

    So it is basically: space, space, digits, space, space, numbers, line break

    Right now I am using the following code (myString is a string, and dataSet1 is an array):

    var reg: RegExp = new RegExp ("\n");

    myString = textLoader.data;
    myString.split (reg) = dataSet1;

    I tried ("\n\s") and ("(\n)(\s*)") and many other combinations, but I can't seem to figure out how to make multiple conditions in a regular expression. All I need to do is to remove all the spaces and line breaks and I should be good.

    I appreciate any help, thanks.

    You can use the Array.map method to convert your strings. Something like this:

    function str2Num(element:*,_index:int,_arr:Array):Number
    {
    Return Number (item);
    }

    var arr:Array;

    ARR = myString.replace(/^\s+/,"").replace(/\s+$/,"").split(/\s + /);

    ARR = map (str2Num, null);

    or combine them all in a single statement

    ARR = myString.replace(/^\s+/,"").replace(/\s+$/,"").split(/\s + /) .map (str2Num, null);

  • Result of the method of the component string has line break

    I really have a strange problem when she returns a string as a result of the method of one component and trying to release this. I always get an extra line break. Stripping does not help. Here are the minimum code to reproduce this behavior:

    -Component Definintion:
    < cfproperty name = "strtest" >
    < name cffunction = 'test' returntype = "String" >
    < cfreturn 'being' >
    < / cffunction >
    < / cfproperty >

    -CFM
    < cfset com = CreateObject ("component", "strtest") >
    < cfoutput >
    This should #com.test () # only one line
    < / cfoutput >

    When I execute the script via my browser (IE or FF), and I look at the source code so there is still a line break should not.

    This only happens when you call a method of a component... call for a simple function or even temporarily store the result in a variable does not bring to this behavior.

    I recommend you read through the other posts on these forums before posting
    your own questions, in the case where your problem is land.

    I answered someone other that having exactly the same question yesterday: you
    Add output = "false" in your statement of .

  • UTL_SMTP line wraps in csv. files after 990 characters.

    Appreciate your help.

    Hello

    The problem here is the way the linesize treats smtp server and not the utl_smtp package.

    According to RFC 822, the maximum total length of a line of text including the is 1000 characters.

    Some mail servers have their own limitation on the size of the line and insert a space or '!' as a newline after the maximum line length has been reached.

    The solution for this is to handle this by inserting the UTL_TCP newline character sequence. CRLF programmatically before reaching the length of the line max (authorized by the mail server).

    Note:

    It would normally be concatenate Chr (10) / as a newline separator in chains of plsql, but for new lines in smtp based email if some implementations may choose to use any line break to designate a new line, most of them need to have/ CHR (13) | Chr (10) and not only , it is advisable to use UTL_TCP. CRLF as a sequence of line break characters.

    Reference:

    Extra spaces and punctuation marks in the e-mail message when you send mail with utl_smtp (Doc ID 461659.1)

  • First group title below displays under the column headers using the model 23 classic report with the help of repeat titles on break

    Hello

    I am migrating an application from 3 APEX APEX 4.2 on a thing I noticed with the classic reports when I put them in the model 23, it's that the first section break has break notch under the headings of columns for this section of line while the remaining lines properly have it display above the headers on the subsequent sections of group.

    When I look at firebug code I saw that all the tables but the first, the break line is included in the last line of the previous table, so I can see how it did not work for the holidays since.

    I have tow questions.

    1. is it really intentional because it seems not terribly elegant and my users to zero immediately above as a perceived bug.

    2. is there a reasonable job around always use headers repeat on break? I have multiple reports on the same page in places so switch to interactive reports is not a quick fix for me in this case.

    Example of a question can be seen at apex.oracle.com at home

    Thank you

    The Standard report template definition in issue 23 contains thead and tbody elements:

    Before the column header

    Column title template

    #COLUMN_HEADER#

    After the title column

    After the lines

    #PAGINATION#

    This is intentional, the best practice for marking up HTML tables. What is not expected is the problem that arises when this model is used with the break of repeat titles on break formatting option. The repeated headings result table consisting of soup of tags containing several poorly constructed tbody and thead, which is not valid elements.

    2. is there a reasonable job around always use headers repeat on break? I have multiple reports on the same page in places so switch to interactive reports is not a quick fix for me in this case.

    Create a copy of the report model Standard in Standard (break formatting) for use with reports of the break, remove the thead and tbody definitions of template tags and the breakdown of the reports to use the new model of change. (Or, if you use mainly break reports using the Standard template, keep the tags in the copy and remove them from the original in order to minimize the number of reports, you need to change.)

    Personally, I would create a report model of line custom to break complex reports in order to be able to have complete control over the structure and presentation.
