TM14 - no subtitles of mkv in media player

Hello!

I can not access the substitles contained in mkv (pronounced to DLNA) files.
I have an old box of configuration of toshiba on which substitles works perfectly, I am surprised that this feature is not available in a TV of 2014!

Certainly I forgot something? The button "subtitle" on the remote do nothing when I press it while the video is playing...

For more information, I have a series of m74.

As far as I know, the subtitles are not supported by any format and there is a difference playing video files using the USB interface or network.

Different users have reported that the SRT subtitles are working properly in MKV or AVI file and using the USB interface so I guess that the subtitles are not compatible with DLNA

  • Toshiba 50L7335DF: problems to play 1080 p mkv files using media player

    Hello

    _The facts_
I have problems to read files mkv (H264, AC3 5.1) 1080 p via the media player on a USB drive (USB is formatted NTFS)

The video begins and is OK for a few seconds/minutes, and then it becomes jerky.
    (the subtitles were on)

I also found that the menus are generally very slow on this TV...

I also had some problems with subtitles:
-they were not displayed on a single video (tested OK with VLC on my laptop ubuntu)
    - and on the other, they showed too fast, I want to say it have been synchronized, but they disappeared fast after displayed.
-one this second video, I got a few square character displayed at the beginning of some lines (maybe an encoding problem, I'll try to understand by myself)
    - And finally, the submarines are truncated at the beginning and at the end of some very long sentences on a single line.

    _So questions: _
-Is powerful enough to manage movies mkv 1080 p TV?
N ' matter what official NTFS support soon? (and don't tell me to FAT32... I know that the limitation of 4 GB, which is sad on 1080 p HD mkv...)

Try to make the subtitles is UTF-8.
You can use the editor like notepad ++ to choose the option to convert it to UTF-8 format.

  • Sumvisin Cyclone MKV Media Player network connection problem

Hi I recently bought this Sumvision Cyclone MKV HDMI Network Media Player V2, everything was perfect at the start, he was playing files via USB and then I connected to a wired LAN, everything was great, I have Windows 7 ultimate and thought, maybe that's a problem. I didn't have a standing thread throughout the living room, so I bought the upgrade from USB WI - FI £14.99, once again, everything was good, connected and it worked perfectly. But now my problem is that when I go in the NETWORK portion of the menu connection, I find my network, put in my username and password and all I get is "LOGON Failed", I have tried changig my username and password several times now, and everything else I can think of. The box is always connected to the internet which is evident by the internet service still doesn't work. I've updated the firmware with the "Youtube activation", the "Fix Windows 7" and "disabled by default subtitles", but none of these things helped, I just additional options in the menu. I tried so many things now that I'm losing my grip and thinking, that I post here to see if anyone has had similar problems and solved the problem. I'm not too hot on networking and maybe there's a protocol step by step I'm missing.

Just an additional info, I use a siemens gigaset 4 ports + wireless router I have 3 PC connected via an ethernet cable and I have1 spare ethernet cable for when I do the repairs. My officejet 4670 wireless printer is working fine on my network and can be used by the other PCs at home. I also have nintendo Wii I have ith wireless network connection. As I said, the media player can connect to my router, but it can not connect to my pc through the router, it says my network, but when the username and password is set, it just says: connection failed. I'm at my wits end with this and I have idea o what I am doing wrong, please help!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi RealGoneKid,

It can be a problem with the USB adapter that is used when you connect the media player on the network.

First of all, I would say that you check if it works when you connect the player via a USB cable and check if it works.

If this does not work when connected via the USB cable there is a possibility that the wireless USB adapter may cause the problem.

I suggest that you contact the device manufacturer for more support on the issue.

    I hope this helps!

  • 32L4363DG 32 "- subtitles are not visible in media player

    Hi all

I just bought this 32 "led TV 32L4363DG... .in using media player I can't do to display subtitles.
I try to watch a mp4 file (i.e. yifi torrent) usb, but no subs don't make their appearance...
I did it properly... the srt bears the same name as the video file...
If use to do this and watch mp4 on my external media player without any problem...
But on this TV, no matter what I press the remote control... the submarines will not load :(

    Any help?

    Thank you

Subtitles should be stored in the srt file (srt is perhaps the most fundamental of all formats of subtitles) and this file must be placed in the same directory (folder) as the movie file.
The srt file also supports the UTF-8 format.

But be careful: it s not enough to select UTF - 8 in the editor like notepad ++
You must choose the deep option convert to UTF-8 format_

  • reading files in Media Player MKV

When you try to play MKV and mp4 files, video driver stops and affects my 25 screen colors, iI having to restart the system to fix it. Please tell me what I can do about it.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

Try installing VLC player, free and easy to use. He'll play about 99% of mkv files.

Windows Media Player will read MKV files perfectly if you have the right codecs and filters installed. A great help here is the Matroska Pack. This pack is ideal for new users as it installs pretty near everything, you will need to play MKV files apart from one or two, the principal being the files real player encoded.  For these install real player.

MKV is a container similar to avi, so you really need to know what codec was used for each file to be certain what works and what won't each player and to play the file, you need the right codec every time.

  • How to activate and play subtitles in Windows Media Player 12 and Media Center?

Normally, I download any movie .avi or .mp4 and the respective .srt subtitle file, place them in the same folder, make sure that they have exactly the same name (with the exception of the exxtension, of course) and then have no problems to play the movie with subtitles in other media players. But in WMP 12 (after following the exact same steps) do not play subtitles. I tried the basic checks such as "Enable subtitles/captions when available" and it doesn´t work.

You have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • Windows Media Player 12 does not have subtitles subtitles

The situation is this: in my laptop I have Windows Vista and WMP 11. Normally, I download any movie .avi and the respective .srt subtitle file, place them in the same folder, make sure that they have exactly the same name (with the exception of the exxtension, of course) and then have no problems to play the movie with subtitles. But, in my netbook, I have Win 7, WMP 12 and after following the exact same steps subtitles don't have fun. I tried the basic checks such as "Enable subtitles/captions when available" and it doesn´t work.

You have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    Pablo

    Hello

To enable the functionality of subtitles in media player, we need to rename a system called mfpmp.exe file. Follow these simple steps and you will get the subtitles in your Media Player.

    Method 1:

    a. Click Start.

    (b) in the search bar, type cmd.

    c. click right on it when it is listed and run as administrator.

    d. in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

    takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\mfpmp.exe

    ICACLS C:\Windows\System32\mfpmp.exe/Grant (username): F

For example, icacls C:\Windows\System32\mfpmp.exe/Grant Pablo: F

    e. you should be able to delete or modify the file now. If you still can not, you may have to restart, and then try again. Try to rename the file to mfpmp.old.
