To disable unnecessary services?

I made some optimizations to my system, and I'm at the point where all I have to do is to disable some unnecessary services. I mainly use my PC for games and surf the internet. I have a decent system, I'm just trying to squeeze as much out of it as I can without turning off the important things. (e.g. Services such as Superfetch). I understand that some services need to be set to manual to avoid problems and always get a saving of resources. My question is: what are some or all of the services that are sure to value manual or disable? Please specify whether to disable it or the manual value.

Additional info:

Type of computer = Desktop

OS = Windows 7 Home premium

Already changed services =.

configure windows search service for people with disabilities.
Print Spooler service manual value.
value remote registry service is disabled.
configure windows service error report of the manual to the people with reduced mobility.
Tablet PC entry services the value of disabled manual.
Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service set to auto to the people with reduced mobility.
set parental control from manual to disabled.

the Bluetooth service disabled value.

  • Disable features/services online in Acrobat Reader ms?

With the new update, being released from Reader Acrobat Reader DC, I have problems with the use of the cloud storage and store sensitive data.

I looked around and the only information I've found how to turn off these new features are in reference to groups that use the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC, which means that they would execute this version business.

I installed and tested the new Acrobat Reader DC under Windows and OS X, there is no obvious option to disable the services that I'm talking about.

    Services that I am referencing:

    • Adobe cloud storage service
    • Sending and tracking documents
    • Synchronization with several devices (for the use of the cloud storage)

Is it possible to disable the use of these services on an installation of an individual (not business) to Acrobat Reader DC?

    Thanks in advance!

You can use the DC Adobe Customization Wizard on both versions of CD (classic or perpetual).

You can also use the Windows registry to disable these services.

  • Vista does not start after I disabled the service DCOMLauncher

Hi all.   I really hope that someone can help me with this, because I can't use my computer at all, and I have to use a notebook different to write this post.

The problem: Windows Vista does not start with the normal settings or Mode without failure.   To be more precise, after Vista starts, he has only a black screen and a limited mouse functionality.

The background & problem: I use Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2.   I have disabled the DCOMLauncher Service using the program Autoruns from Sysinternal.

What I tried: I tried to start Vista in Mode safe with no result.

Thanks to all those who are trying to help me.

When you choose Safe Mode choose last known good startup.

As long as your subsequent boots are deemed unsuccessful, which is perhaps not the case, this will start the configuration before using Autoruns.

    Safe Mode command prompt works?

  • What happens when you disable the service "Windows Error Reporting Service" in order to avoid an annoying and misleading popup error message?

I kept getting annoying "authentication failure.  Please check your user name and password of the account '... xyz. "" error every 30 seconds. "

I tried to restore my system and antivirus running - even to reinstall my anti-virus.  I deleted the accounts in question and kept still getting the error message.  Note, receive emails has never been a problem.

I finally disabled the element of the system of "Windows Error Reporting Service" MS configuration and now the error pop ups have disappeared.  Is it correct to keep this function disabled?

    Thank you.

To check the event logs, go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event handler.

To achieve the reliability and performance monitor, go to start / search and type in reliability, and then double-click the program icon that appears.

I hope this helps.  You can always check these sites periodically and do not need WER to warn you of a problem (even if it is perhaps faster) - you can check manually.  WER serves a purpose and he gives notification of a problem (which is good), but not in the circumstances that you knew.  This is a "nice to have" feature - not absolutely necessary.  We can try testing again to see if we can find the problem with WER if you're at it - or you can simply leave it off and make periodic checks of manual (decision is yours).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Unnecessary services in Windows 7

As the title suggests, the Windows 7 Services safely disable? Some examples of those I currently already disabled are:

    Windows Search

    Remote Access Auto Connection Manager

    Remote Access Connection Manager

    Configuration of remote desktop

    Remote Desktop services

However, there are a few other similar to those that are turned on & I don't know if they should be. I never have nothing remotely or use Bluetooth, either. What I have already disabled via MSconfig, my reasons for this are to optimize performance as much as I can. I already watched a few videos on the aesthetic to disable settings & have done this. I understand that part of the answer I am looking for cannot be answered by me because of my personal use. So unless all I need is linked to a detailed explanation, whose services are what.

See if they are defined as the login items.

«System preferences > users & groups, Login Items tab '.» Delete them if they are listed.

Some Applications do not recreate this connection point when you run them, check their preferences to see if it can be disabled there too if they do return.

  • Start Ups Services & disabling certain processes

Original title: STARTUPS & REIMBURSEMENT SERVICES

I used this laptop for three years to about 200-300 hours.  There are 15 items under Startup and about 130 in respect of Services.  Disable unnecessary startup items is supposed to contribute to the performance and speed of your laptop, especially one that is slower than expected.  However, what about the 130 Services, about half are 'ongoing'?  It would improve the speed and performance when they surf the Net... If I DISABLE unnecessary Services positions, too?  The laptop in question is a Windows VISTA with 47.3 GB FREE out of 69.7 GB (= 60% free).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Why the fast user switching and the new Windows Search use the Terminal Services?

Recently, I was struck by a piece of really bad, malicious malware that totally trashed my operating system.  Therefore, as I rebuild my system, I am applying the appropriate safety precautions.  Among the recommendations of Microsoft is to reduce your footprint of security by disabling unnecessary services.  One of these services that I thought I didn't need was Terminal Server services, since it is a way for a person to get to my machine remotely.

It turns out that, however, other services that I want to use, such as Fast user Switching and window new search utility, depend on the Terminal Server Services.  It makes no sense to me from a safety point of view.  This seems to be a bad design decision, because security trumps utility.

If Microsoft is listening, I would like to know why you made this decision and you have changed in Windows 7?

Second, is there a way to always have the Terminal services Server running and at the same time cut access remotely through this service?

I don't know about the 'new' Windows Search, but what about the fast user switching you ask to run several sessions of Windows when you switch between users (a session for each user connected) and the only way that Windows can do is to act as a quasi Terminal Server, it needs Terminal Server services to run multiple sessions.

  • Satellite X 200 - is t7500 to y7900 upgrade possible?

    Hi all

    Can I have my CPU of T7500 upgrade x 7900? I have a portable Satellite X 200 x 21. 965 pm chipset.
What do I need to upgrade?

    Thank you

I think that a better way is for you to update your RAM and make Windows faster.

The laptop supports support up to 4 GB of RAM DDR2 at 667 MHz. At present, the price of memory are very cheap so it s a good time to update.

In addition if make you Windows faster this improves performance also. For example, to delete all programs in the folder startup and msconfig that you need, disable unnecessary services, defragment your HARD drive at any time and to this day.
A bit of research with Google, and then you will find more things.
