to edit the template for an application

I did my first app on the platform provided Oracle test.

I chose the model without tab. Now, I know that I need the tabs. I don't find a way to change the template assigned to an application.

Is it really possible or not?

Kind regards
RAM...

Raghav,

If you just want to change the template to the page in question, go to edit page and in the display attributes, select the model you want, by default, the Application-level default. To change the default back to home request template > Application Builder > request # > shared components > themes > theme create/change and there you can change the default values.

Thank you
Manish

    What exactly you are trying to change in the template? The Table of contents can be edited like this: http://total-bi.com/2012/09/briefing-book-table-of-contents-page/

    Please check if useful/correct.

  • Double click to edit the template is double the width of the container div...

    Hi, has anyone seen this before - when I opened my master, the first time I click into it, everything gets selected. When I double click to edit the model, the width of the container div (that surrounds my page) double size. When I check the width properties page or on my CSS stylesheet, it displays the original width of 989 px, but when I scroll on the container in design mode, it displays 989px (1 985 px).

    I have not saved this to my Web page, but I can't edit the template. Anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you!

    Wendy

    The symptom of having to double-click to edit is almost a diagnosis for a container of an overflow: hidden style applied.  Is this the case?

    Yep - I can see that it is-

    #Container {
         font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
         font-size: 12px;
         color: #FFF;
         width: 989px;
         margin: 0 auto;
         overflow: hidden;
         background-color: #CFDEE2;
         height: auto;
    }

    The doubling of the width thing is only a function of the display - I think you may be getting used to and know that this happens only in the mode Design of DW.  I assume you are using the overflow so that the container contains properly its floats?  Have you tried floating the container in place?  A floating element always contains its floats, too.  If you float it instead, you will need to have an another wrapper around her who centers, as a floating element will not also focus.

    Thank you.

    not my area of expertise, but a quick glance in my .pro file provides:

  • Edit the template in Dreamweaver

    I always put < head > part of page in my template, that this part is the same on all pages using this template. But I said now the Meta keywords to match keywords on the individual pages, so how now do this part of the model is the model? Without having to start from scratch. Dreamweaver must be automaticlaly created an editable region between the <> tags for you.

    Should look like in your template file below main .dwt?

    You can insert tags in this region which obviously do anything as this is inserted between them editable on every page, made from the model.

    If you do not have an editable region of the 'head' in your .dwt file, then you can just create one by inserting tags above all in thePut them directly before the closing tag. When recording this will be reflected in all pages that have been made to the .dwt file.

    By the way the keyword meta tag is largely ignored by these days search engine spiders, so including that appears not tag so important meta although if you feel that you need, then there is no bad either.

  • Newbie question: how to display the logo of the company for all applications

    Hi all:

    I am new to APEX and in the thorough step 'Application two days Express Developer's Guide.

    I have Oracle XE with APEX 3.1.2 installed.

    I have a file called test.gif stored on my C:\logo\test.gif logo

    The question is what is the step to display this logo on all pages for each application (I could build applications in the same workspace, and I like the same logo to all pages for each display application).

    I have extensive air manual and this forum and cannot always understand.

    Here is what I tried:

    -Click on an app that I created in Application Builder
    -Click on "shared components".
    -Files-click == > Images and upload my C:\logo directory test.gif
    -Return to page 'Components of the part' == > Logo and select / access to the following values:
    > logo type: image
    > logo: /i/test.gif
    > logo attribute: width = "100" height = "20" alt = "Company Logo".

    Save the changes. When I run my application, the company logo displayed as 'x' icon.

    A I missed something?

    Thank you!

    Kevin

    Kevin,

    You wanted a step by step so that is.

    You must first download your logo to your workspace file. Then you can assign it as a logo, so this step appears on all pages.

    Before you start, I suggest that ensure you that your graphic file name does not include the spaces inside. Replace spaces by dashes, underscore or squish traits it.

    1. application Builder-> shared-> files components-> Images.

    2. click on the create button.

    3. application for leave "No Application associated with" value, provide the specification of file, then click on the download button. When it's done, copy the name of the file (for example MyFile.gif).

    4. go into the Application Builder-> shared-> Application-> definition components

    5 scroll down the page to the section Logo and set the Type of Logo Image.

    6 Logo, enter ' #WORKSPACE_IMAGES # ' follow-up of your files.

    for example #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #MyFile.gif

    7. Optionally, you can set the attributes of the Logo, for example, by specifying the height and width to display your image.

    8. click on apply changes.

    9. run app.

    If you have the right to file specification, you should see your logo in the upper left corner. If you want elsewhere, you have to change the page template, which is way beyond the scope of this forum and the tutorial. :-)

    Good luck

    Stew

  • How can I get the installer for my application check the operating system type and then install the correct driver type?

    I have a request that I wrote and have been use and distribute for awhile. The installer I created for this application is an additional installer to install a driver for the USB connection. The USB connection is actually a virtual COM Port. The problem is that the people who drafted modified driver setup the installation program itself. They used to have an installer that would check for 32-bit or 64-bit OS and then install the appropriate driver.

    Now, they have two distinct installation programs: one for the other for 32-bit and 64-bit. They let the user know their OS and install the appropriate driver. I'd rather not have to rely on my users to do. From what I've seen the creater Installer provides that an executable to be run after the application installs.

    Is it possible to have the installer of the application, check the type of OS and then run the correct executable file after installing my application? I think that I could write an Installer 'wrapper' that checks the type of operating system then executes the correct Installer. But I expect a better solution.

    Thank you
    Joe

    So, I make it work!

    The trick is to find a way to determine what type of OS you are using. The method I used was, indeed, read the environment variable. A buddy of mine sent me this link:

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/2401756/how-to-find-if-the-machine-is-32bit-or-64bit One of the phrases he bibliography the Processor_Architecture environment variable.

    It seemed like a reasonable idea. So I started to research how read LV it environment variables turns out, you do it by reading a registry key. There is an example of LV on how to read a registry key. But I did not know where they are in the registry. So, I searched the Processor_Architecture registry. I found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment.

    According to the article in the link, this value will already be x 86 for a 32 bit OS, or something with 64 inside. I just check the response for x 86 string. If it is, I just run the x 86 version of the driver Installer. Otherwise, I run the x 64 version.

    It turned out to be as simple as that.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • Set the size of the window for DOS applications running on the Windows XP Pro machine

    I have some old Basic (QBasic, Flodraw) DOS programs I still want to run occaisionally. 2002 was the last time I used them, so I don't know what OS was running then. When I run the application now that open windows are not ideally sized, the Flodraw is too big, I can't see it as much of the screen as I would, and QBasic is too small to get enough text to keep my train of thought.

    Anyone know how I can get control of the size of the window? I need create .pif or something like that?

    Thank you.

    Right click on the shortcut for the program icon, and then click Properties. You will see where you can set the size. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How to create the cover of the app for my application

    Dear,

    Please help me with step by step tutorial how to create an appcover for my application! I'm kinda noob on C++ and I read the paper, but could not apply! (didn't know where to put the code - C++ part) not Qml

    I want to put a picture of the asset as a cover of the app

    Your prompt response is much appreciated!

    You can do with QML also.

    Follow this Code:

    import bb.cascades 1.4
    Page {

        attachedObjects: [
            //Active Frame is called as Scene Cover
            SceneCover {
                id: activeFrame
                content: Container {
                    //To Do Fill Me with QML
                    //fill what you want. Image, Label, much more
                }

            }
        ]
        Label {
            text: "Hello World"

        }
    // After Application is minimised or Active Framed This Function shows
    onCreationCompleted: {
        Application.setCover(activeFrame)
    }

    }

    This is how you create with QML. C++ is used for highly recommended as animative and well known to the user.

    Good if you have nothing to say he has the OS under which your application should be called.

    Take a look at the second half of this document to get a better understanding of how to get your app on the menus of the invocation of other applications, including on the part of one.
