You can achieve this by creating a new responsibility and exclude these concurrent programs of the Group requested that is attached to this new responsibility. Then assign the new responsibility of the user.

  • The reports in the page lol should limit the selection based on edge guest?

    Hello world

    I have a requirement where I need to create reports based on the survey questions and there are 6 tables and this survey Questions are repeated in all the tables in this 6 and assume overall, I created 70 reports based on this survey questions. And must I have to integrate all this 70 reports into single dashboard page, and within the hour I have to create radio 6 buttons each button will be the name of each table, how can I achieve this?

    The next Question is when we choose a no option box. reports should limit on the page and must view reports related only to this table?

    Please someone help me on that and answer me with your valid solution.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Laeticia.

    It feels kind of weird that you had created 70 separate analyses rather than a smaller number with a little more intelligent filtering.

    Anyway, you can do this by putting conditions on the sections on the dashboard page. According to your selections in the guests, this can hide and show the equivalent parts.

    That said, the page will be a nightmare, and you'll need 70 conditions, so don't think it will happen well. Maybe take a step back and think about whether you really need 70 separate analyses. If you do... good luck with the creation of this page, it shuold be fun.

  • How to limit the rows returned from the user role-based interactive reports

    Hello

    I'm a new Apex-PL/SQL Developer, looking for some recommendations on how to implement an interactive report to display different lines in your current application ROLE service.

    For example let's say you have an application for orders and 2 different roles: superuser and sales-rep

    Now, if super user connects to the application, it should be able to see all the rows in the orders table, however, if the user 'john' connects with the commercial list, he should see those orders assigned to him.

    I don't think I can use "dynamic" sql and build my where clause on the fly if I choose an interactive report so I was looking around and came across the concept of a common function but it seems that some other people do this with collections of the APEX. Is there anyone with a recommendation for one to use? A few books I've read recommend putting most of the logic that you can on your database (easier to maintain in the long term) that's why I thought about pipep functions using, but I thought I would check with the experts first.

    Thank you!

    If you are allowed to use an Enterprise Edition database and to apply these restrictions, through the entire application, or across multiple applications, then use of private virtual database (DPV), with the security attributes of PL/SQL Code to the initialization/cleanup APEX application to set and reset the settings in your application.

    Should you not use EE, then you can roll your own VPD use parameterized views.

    If the restriction is only required for this unique IR, then, simply use a union of two mutually exclusive predicates opportunities:

    select ...
    from orders su
    where :app_role = 'super-user'
    union all
    select ...
    from orders rep
    where :app_role = 'sales-rep'
    and rep.salesman = :app_user

    All of these approaches should outperform functions in pipeline, collections, or a user-defined function (which, in a predicate that is executed for each line, mudra stopped the large datasets because of context switching).

  • View the columns in your report based on the command prompt

    Hello gurus,

    I have a report (pivot View) with the following dimensions and facts

    1 country (Dimension)
    2. the dealer group (Dimension)
    3. name (Dimension) of the region from the sale of parts
    4. parts name (Dimension) sales representative
    5 dealer account (Dimension)
    6 heart FY purchases (Fact)
    7. purchases of fiscal Prv (Fact)
    8% change (Fact)

    I have all the dimensions of filters (as guest)

    The requirement is now
    When I select the country from the prompt and click on go. the report is expected to show only dealer group and measures 3.
    When I choose the dealer group from the prompt and press go. the report should appears with the name of parts sales region and the corresponsing measures

    So I intend to use the command prompt to display the columns according to me

    from now my report shows the entire column irrespective of what I select in the command prompt. (such as the report displays all my dimensions and facts). I should be able to restrict the column in the reprot based on what the user, select the prompt for

    Is this possible?

    Appreciate your thoughts.

  • Report based on the result of the sorting function?

    Dear all,

    I will make this issue in general terms:

    We have a report based on a query that reads data from a single table (P). It will take to provide a field more (X) in the report which is obtained using more than two tables (E, 1 m approx).

    I wrote a function that produces this extra field based on a join of tables E and P1. Please note that this function depends on the report query variables. This output is correct and provides all the necessary information, but it is necessary to sort the report based on the result of this function, i.e. the value of field X.

    Is this possible?

    I appreciate your comments.

    Note: I've tried incorporating pictures E, P1 in the request report (I can then sort on the required field) but gets reduced the number of lines in the report. This is because the join between the tables, P, E and P1 reduces the number of lines (which is not the correct result).

    Yes, it is possible. If you have ended up above a formula column.

    Create the formula column. For example, CF_SALARY_TOTAL. Place a level to the top of the query and set your desired sort (Asc/Desc)

    Hope this helps

  • How to create a report based on the item selected from the list of selection?

    Hello

    I created a tables_LOV based on:

    Select table_name table_name user_tab_cols r, d

    where column_name like '% _type % '.

    Then I created a ListOfTables page element, display in a selection list and pointing to tables_LOV.

    I run the page, and I can choose the table I want in the drop-down list.

    How to create a report based on the selected element? (ex: select * from selected_table)

    Thanks in advance

    Salah

    Hi Salah,

    Allright, take a look at this page: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=vincentdeelen:collection_report

    I think that simulates what you are trying to accomplish. I've implemented the simplest method I could think of.

    The report is based on a collection of apex. If you are not familiar with this, you should study the documentation: APEX_COLLECTION

    To recreate my example, you should:

    (1) create a report (interactive) on your collection

    SELECT *
       FROM APEX_collections
     WHERE collection_name = 'MY_COLLECTION'

    (2) create a selection list page_item for the tables that you want to display (in my case, this is called "P38_TABLES")

    (3) create a dynamic action that triggers on the evolution of your selection list page_item. Dynamic action must be a parade of PL/SQL procedure the following code:

    declare
      l_query varchar2(4000);
    begin
      l_query := 'select * from '||:P38_TABLES;
      if apex_collection.collection_exists
            ( p_collection_name => 'MY_COLLECTION' )
      then
        apex_collection.delete_collection
          ( p_collection_name => 'MY_COLLECTION' );
      end if;

      apex_collection.create_collection_from_query
        ( p_collection_name => 'MY_COLLECTION'
        , p_query           => l_query
        );
    end;

    Make sure that you add your page_item 'Page to send items' section.

    (4) add a real extra action that makes an update of the report area.

    Here are two photos describing the da:

  • Limit the number of characters in a text based on the first digit field

    Hello and thank you in advance for your help!

    I want to limit the amount of characters in the text field based on the first digit of the number (the text field is limited to a number format... no decimals, no comma).

    For example, if the number starts with a 3, I would limit the text field to allow only ten characters. I have three scenarios but if I could start with code and what is the best place to add (key combination or validation?) I can take it from there. Thanks again for your help!

    I wrote this code for you that does this. Use it as a typo of the custom field code:

    // Validate that only digits are entered
    if (event.change) {
        event.rc = /^\d+$/.test(event.change);
    }

    // Validate string length if it starts with 3
    if (/^3/.test(AFMergeChange(event))) {
        event.rc = AFMergeChange(event).length <= 10;
        if (!event.rc) app.alert("If the number starts with \"3\" it may not be longer than 10 digits.",1); // optional error message
    }

    You can duplicate the second part of it for additional terms, but keep in mind that this code won't let you even remove the first character in the field if the result is not valid.

    For example, if you enter "234567890123456" then you can't remove the "2" at the beginning because that would result in a number not valid. You can delete all the other numbers, even if and when it is 10 digits or less, then you can remove the departure "2" as well.

  • Title of the OBIEE report based on several guests

    Hi gurus,

    We have a requirement of obiee where we give the title based on the Prompt values selected several guests

    We have guests for the region, subregion, Country, market

    If the user just selects the Europe area and click on apply, then title should have values of the region as a "reseller for Europe."
    If the user selects the region and subregion Europe and Central, then title should be "dealer for Central.
    If the service selects the region, subregion and country as Central Europe and America "title should have 'Reseller for America'...

    Like this
    Is it possible to achieve this in OBIEE

    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Lakshmi.

    Hey Lakshmi,

    By title, if you mean the title of your report you can use the approach below:

    -use a narrative mode to hold the title of the report.
    -Add another report column and add a statement box that would hold the prompt value that has been selected. To do this, first create variables of presentation for all columns in the command prompt. For example assume for the region, the SugRegion, the country and the market you create 4 variable presentation, namely - varRegion, varSubRegion, varCountry and varMarket.
    -Now, the case statement in the fx column would be

    case
    "When ' @{varMarket} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varMarket}"
    "When ' @{varCountry} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varCountry}"
    "When ' @{varSubRegion} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varSubRegion}"
    "When ' @{varRegion} {defaultValue}' <>'defaultValue' then ' @{varRegion}"
    else 'No value Selected' end

    -Then, hide this column and reference in the narrative view and make lines to display as 1. Assuming that this column is in first position, in narrative mode, you can mention it as:

    Dealer for the @1

    I would like to know if that's what you're looking for.

    Thank you

  • Classic report limit the number of rows displayed

    Hi all

    In my application, I have a classic report that displays data from a simple query. For layout reasons, I want to limit the number of display 5 instead of the default value 15. I looked in several forums and they told me that I have to set the number of lines in the report attributes.

    But it doesn't have what I want. I'm using APEX 4.1.0 on Oracle 11 G database

    My question is: How can I limit the maximum number of lines in a classic SQL report.

    Hamertje16 wrote:
    I tried already to 5 the number of lines and number of lines (point).

    Do not set anything in number of lines (point). This is used to identify an element of the page containing the number of lines to allow users to control it. Remove * 5 * from here.

    Write directly in the SQL report. Your select list item will be the variable in the SQL.
