To start an Oracle Identity Manager and access, how much RAM is required? and with what amount of RAM required.

Tell me any how to set JVM has increased.

Using Oracle VM for Identity manager and the use of the RAM of 1300 provided to the virtual machine. Physical PC with 4 GB of RAM.

My setup will be help to crushed the Oracle Identity Manager without fault?

You must be at least 3.5 GB of RAM for IOM. Including SOA, it's going to be 6 to 8 GB. See the links in the configuration system supported here:

  • SOA-INFRA is State FAILURE while improving the Oracle Identity Manager to 11.1.1.5

    This issue occurred when we tried to improve our IOM to version 11.1.1.5.

    All suites installation went well (Oracle IDAM 11.1.1.5) and SOA Suite 11.1.1.5. The field is also created, and schemas are also upgraded. But when we create a domain, the domain created, the SOA_INFRA application comes in the onset of failure, even if the soa server returns execution state.

  • Block users in Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2

    Hello
    I have a status (locked user) query of the user in Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2.
    The possibility for users to block, seen in the Oracle Identity Manager web administration console appears in the disabled state. As I can enable this feature in Oracle Identity Manager 9. ?

    Thanks for the support

    Have not exactly your question.

    Whenever someone tries to login with password wrong, then he gets locked in the IOM. You will need to go to the administration Console and unlock it. You can also do this in DB as well.

    To lock the user to the administration console, you must create a custom button and extend the class action to block this user in IOM.

    Workaround

    Create a UDF called LOCK.
    Create a trigger on this UDF, i.e. whenever changes of true LOCK, then lock the user using query DB or API (UPDATEUSER - user Users.Lock)

  • A question about the capablities of Oracle Identity manager?

    Hello, everyone,

    Here is our environment,

    1 - we have user accounts in our database for students and employees in our academic Institute.

    2. we have a Microsoft active directory for employees only, that was created many years ago.

    3 - our web applications (weblogic server, ADF, other) use user accounts to database for authentication.

    We plan to create a server active directory for students, we thought about using Oracle identity manager (OIM) to do.

    is it possible to just directly sync & manage student accounts of microsoft oracle database active directory through IOM.

    Thank you.

    Hi mhaljasim ,

    By my understanding, looking for some sort of tool to create users (doing the commissioning) in a target (Active directory). If this is the case, yes IOM will be a great tool for you as it has connector AD that have this capability.

    Trying to help even more: research from the perspective of the solution, my understanding is you will make this workflow:

    (1) created in the Oracle database user. (2) then this user will be reconciled database of IOM, IOM DB connector (in other words, the user will be created in the table user IOM). (3) then IOM will be a process of supply to create this type of user in AD, using the connector of the IOM.

    But I would put another suggestion here:

    If you are looking for just a matter of authentication using the users of the database as well as users of the AD. I want to suggest to look deeper into the OVD (Oracle virtual directory) tool. It is a great tool that allows you to have views of the two targest(AD +DB) at the same time and make a simple Ldap authentication against this specific point of view once. By my understanding, this can be a good option in your solution as well. Please check more on these two IDM products to:

  • Error during installation of Oracle Identity Manager

    Hello
    I'm having a problem when trying to install Oracle Identity Manager. I'm trying it now for two days and it's always the same problem.

    I have read this thread:
    Oracle Identity Manager Server installation problem (but still have no idea what to do).

    I'm installing in a virtual lab environment (Windows Server 2008 on VMware).
    This is a new installation.

    Installation scenario:_
    * 1.* Oracle Database 10g (10.2.0.3)
    * 2 Suite DBA of Toad for Oracle
    * 3.* Oracle Weblogic Server 11g R1
    * 4 Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1

    * 5.*
    Then I create a new instance of database Oracle for Oracle Identity Manager as described here:
    http://download-East.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B32386_01/generic.902/b32140/database.htm

    * 6.*
    Then I prepare the DB for Oracle Identity Manager by running:
    prepare_xl_db.bat C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1 xelsysadm xeltbs C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\oradata xeltbs_01 TEMP password123 password123 XAVIER

    as described here (preparation of the database under Windows):
    http://download-East.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B32386_01/generic.902/b32140/database.htm

    * 7.*
    I get no error after you run the script is finished

    * 8.*
    Then I run Oracle Identity Manager v9.1.0.1\OIM9101\installServer\setup_server.exe

    * 9.*
    I'll take the steps and after the installation of the error pop ups next:

    Following error occurred during the creation of connected scheme*.
    Error occurred while loading database script*.
    +...\Oracle identity Manager v9.1.0.1\OIM9101\installServer\Xellerate/db/oracle/xell.sql+

    * 10.*
    Then I click Next and this message pop ups:

    Install oracle Identity Manager found that SetDBKey.bat failed. *

    * 11
    Then the installation ends / dropouts

    Does anyone have an idea what is talking about this error and how to get around?
    I would be really appreciated. I'm getting desperate, because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I thank very you much in advance!

    Make sure that the IOM database schema is created.

    This error is usually tied when the user 'SYSTEM' is used as a schema of the IOM. IOM does not account for database support as its schema SYSTEM.

    After executing the prepare_db.sh, connect to the database using schema IOM to itself, if you have connectivity.
